Proverbs 4:20-23 tells us, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life” (King James Version). God’s Word is life to us, and He tells us to incline our ear to His Word. The word incline means “feel willing or favorably disposed toward (an action, belief, or attitude),” according to the Oxford English Dictionary.
Next, He tells us to not let His Word depart from our eyes. This will keep His Word in our hearts and coming out our mouths…and it helps us to see ourselves healed and made whole. This is how we picture ourselves the way God sees us. Using your imagination, see yourself healed. See yourself standing, walking and moving about without any health issues. See yourself raising your arms, bending over, picking something up off the floor. See yourself doing what you haven’t been able to do before!
Faith always begins where the will of God is known. Therefore, for you to receive the healing God has for you by faith, it’s critical that you know, that you know, that you know that it is God’s plan for you to be well. And the best way to build your faith to believe and receive—so that you know, that you know, that you know—is to saturate yourself with the truth of God’s Word.
