To answer this question, it will help to understand why vows were instituted in the first place. Vows were instituted in Old Testament times in order to settle disputes because men were generally not honorable. Their own words were not sufficient to the other party in critical situations. So, due to their general lack of integrity, the making of vows was implemented.

The covenant we have with God is one that includes financial prosperity, and in God’s system, tithing and giving offerings are how you activate THE BLESSING in your life and get on the road to increase. While both tithing and offerings are forms of giving, there is a distinct difference between the two.

Absolutely! Just as it is the key to personal financial success, so it is also critical for blessings in your business. When you honor God for the increase He provides for your business, it opens the door for Him to bless your business even more! But keep in mind that business tithing looks a bit different than personal tithing.

In the Old Testament, under the old covenant, some foods were deemed unholy to eat. But Jesus changed all that with the establishment of the new covenant. In 1 Timothy 4:3-5 (NLT), the Apostle Paul says, “Some…will say it is wrong…to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten with thanks by faithful people who know the truth. Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.”

“Pleading” is actually a legal term, and in a court of law it is “a formal statement of the cause of an action or defense.” Think of it like a lawyer pleading his case before the judge. He presents evidence and facts to support his case.

1 John 5:14-15 says, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him” (NIV). The key to knowing that God is hearing your prayers is to pray according to His will. How do you ensure you’re praying God’s will? You pray His Word!

First and foremost, God hates divorce (Malachi 2:14-16). It is never His best, and the damage it does to families and children are the evidence. God created marriage and intended for it to be a lifelong union. The apostle Paul taught that the marriage relationship is a demonstration of the relationship between Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). When we stray from His plan, the results are damaging. That is why Jesus emphasized the importance and sacredness of marriage in Matthew 19:6, saying “What God has joined together, let no man separate” (NKJV).

The Bible has a lot to say about the dangers of alcohol. The abuse of alcohol can lead to addiction, health problems, legal trouble, strife and can destroy marriages and other relationships. That is why we are instructed in Ephesians 5:18 (NLT), “Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

Many people don’t realize how devastating pornography is to those who view it. Just as the devil intended, it causes untold damage to a person—spirit, soul and body. That’s to say nothing of the hurt it causes the loved ones of those who view it. It can lead to divorce, mental problems and even physical issues. The devil has tried to convince people that pornography is just “harmless fun.” It can be difficult to talk about, but here is what pornography really is:

Though he’d certainly like you to believe otherwise, you have total and complete authority over the devil through Jesus! Jesus said in Luke 10:19, “Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you” (AMPC). When do you take authority?

So many accept stress, anxiety and/or depression as a normal part of life. Without knowing how to walk free of these killers, they try to manage them, living with them day in and day out. But stress, anxiety and depression, and all that goes with them, stem from the same root—fear. Fear has no place in the life of any believer. The spirit of fear is the same as the spirit of death, so you cannot let it get a hold of you. That is why “Fear not” or “Be not afraid” appears over 100 times in the Bible!

Brother Kenneth and Gloria’s personal conviction is to tithe on the gross of all income—including gifts—that comes into their hands (Proverbs 3:9-10, Malachi 3:8-11). Ultimately, everyone needs to spend time with God and receive His direction where tithing and giving is concerned. 

The simple answer is no. While Romans 8:28 tells us that “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and who are called according to his purpose for them,” we also know this: It is not God’s will for you to be sick. It is not God’s will for you to be in lack. It is not God’s will for you to be depressed. It is not God’s will for you to suffer tragedy of any kind. So, why do these things happen? Two reasons.

The word kill in the sixth commandment in Exodus 20:13 can more accurately be translated as “murder.” In fact, most modern Bible translations, like the New King James Version, translate Exodus 20:13 as, “You shall not murder.”

If you’re looking for a home church where you can be rooted and planted according to Psalm 92:13, you probably already know that church shopping can be quite a process. As you prayerfully consider where to plant your family, be sure to seek the leading of the Holy Spirit. Only He knows where He intends for you to be planted. In the meantime, the following are good guidelines to use in choosing a good church.  The right church will: 1.    Preach the whole Word of God. Including healing, deliverance, abundance and victory.

This may surprise you, but you don’t have to defend your belief in biblical prosperity. Jesus said, “But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands”(Mark 10:30, KJV). But He didn’t stop there. He went on to say, “with persecutions.”

God’s will for you is healing and wholeness. The price has already been paid (Isaiah 53:5). The path to receiving your healing is outlined in the Word of God.   

You don’t have to debate or fight or plead your case to evangelize. In fact, KCM’s Minister of Evangelism, Riley Stephenson, says that will actually hurt your cause. Instead, he recommends the following:

Wondering how to calculate your tithe? It’s easy! The tithe is the first 10% of your gross income—before any expenses or obligations, including taxes. How do we know? Proverbs 3:9 says, “Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase” (NKJV). The dictionary defines first fruits as “the first agricultural produce of a season, especially when given as an offering to God.” (See also Genesis 28:22; Leviticus 27:32; Hebrews 7:2, 4.)

Water baptism is not only significant to the person being baptized, but it also testifies to his or her community what happened when their life was changed by Jesus. It confirms and strengthens the new believer’s commitment to live a godly life. It also gives the believer the opportunity to openly testify to others of his experience of having been crucified with Christ, buried with Him and raised together with Him to walk in newness of life (Galatians 2:20; Romans 6:4-6).
