10 Scriptures To Build Your Faith for Healing

In Exodus 15, God shares a crucial truth about your health and healing. “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the Lord who heals you” (verse 26, New King James Version). As this makes clear, it is God’s will to heal us!

More scriptures agree with this truth: Deuteronomy 28:61; Galatians 3:13; and 1 Peter 2:22-24, as well as in many other verses. And yet, based on what Exodus 15:26 says, God’s healing for us is conditional. Moses wrote, “If you diligently heed the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes…” then….

If we do what God has asked of us, then He will do what He promised. Proverbs 4 shows us these conditions as well: “My child, pay attention to what I say. Listen carefully to my words. Don’t lose sight of them. Let them penetrate deep into your heart, for they bring life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life” (verses 20-23).

To give attention to God’s Words is to put them first. To put them first place in your life. To put them first place in the morning, in the middle of the day and the last thing at night. You must read them, pray them, confess them and declare them.

When we give our attention to God’s words, they become health and healing to our flesh, or medicine as one translation says. Just like we take natural medicine for sickness, so we are to take our spiritual medicine, which is the Word of God.
