How to Live in God’s Covenant of Protection

God made a covenant with Jesus that cannot be broken! You have a part of that covenant by believing in Jesus and inviting Him into your heart and life. God can—and will—do anything it takes to keep you safe.
He is only limited by your ability to receive from Him. Take time to explore some of the conditions that make receiving from God easy and walk in your covenant of protection today.
Make God alone your place of safety (Psalm 91:2)
Your safety in God doesn’t come by simply reading a scripture once. It comes by knowing God so well that His Word immediately comes to your mind in a crisis. When you have spent time reading, thinking and meditating on what God said, you will act on it. It’s not the Word you heard or know; it’s the Word you act on that will get you delivered.
Trust in the Lord and do good (Psalm 37:3)
When you trust in the Lord and do good, “then you will live safely in the land and prosper” (Psalm 37:3). It can be easy to put your trust in other things, such as a job or other people, but your trust should be in the Lord alone. He is the One who created you and wants to guide and lead you to a place of safety and prosperity.
Speak what you believe (Mark 11:22-24)
To test what you believe, listen to what you say during adversity. When the dog knocks over the kitchen trash, when someone pulls into the parking space you were headed for, or when you hit your thumb with the hammer, what do you say? Those are small things, but as you listen to yourself, you can replace your own words with those of God’s Word.
Love one another (Romans 13:8)
When you love one another, you are fulfilling the requirements of God’s law. There is no way you could go back and fulfill all the requirements of the law, but when God sent Jesus He became the fulfillment of the law. By believing in Jesus, you are made right with God. Jesus then commanded you to love one another (John 13:35, Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31). By loving one another you not only prove you are His disciple, but you also keep yourself safe in God’s covenant of protection.
God’s protection is vital for peace in today’s world. Whether it’s a worldwide disaster, chaos in the workplace or a family issue, you need God’s help. Believe and call on God’s covenant of protection every day!
