It’s been said that 90 percent of conflict is rooted in misunderstanding.If that’s the case, and it probably is, then conflict resolution is a matter of all parties sitting down and getting a good understanding of what happened!Proverbs 13:15 says, “Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.”Good understanding and faithfulness are connected. Most conflicts arise because someone’s trust (faithfulness) has seemingly been violated.

There are many reasons people are overweight—physical, psychological, emotional. But the bottom line is people are overweight because they give in to the draws of the flesh, including psychological and emotional draws.

Mormonism certainly appears to be closely related to Christianity. It claims to follow the Bible. But there is a major difference—Mormonism does not teach that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

If you have submitted your health or the treatment of a medical condition to a doctor, you should follow the doctor’s instructions, including using the medicine(s) prescribed.Proverbs 4:20-22: “My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.”

Certainly none of us can go through a day without interacting with non-Christians.However, when we have decisions to make about contractual work or other types of business where our quality of life will be affected, we will be better off entering into relationships with people and companies with good reputations and high integrity.Let God guide you. In everything we do in life, if we will simply seek Him for direction and allow Him to unfold His plan for us, we can be happily surprised when we see the outcome.

When we have decisions to make about business relationships that will affect our future and our families, we would be better off to enter into relationships with people who share like faith and values and who have maintained reputations of high integrity and service.

Friendship is a precious thing. When you venture into friendship you may want to set some boundaries that will keep the relationship healthy.When you know a friendship is developing, sit down with the new friend and honestly and openly discuss what each of you should expect for the friendship to grow.

Prayers based on God’s Word will be your best weapons against the attacks of your enemy, the devil.The Word is filled with scriptures that cover every area of your life that the enemy would come against. Your safety and security, your health and well-being, your finances and prosperity, your relationships with people…no issue of life is left uncovered. Psalm 91 covers many of life’s issues that may come under attack. Make it your prayer of declaration often when the enemy challenges you.

Assuming your spouse realizes the detrimental results of pornography use to his/her own spiritual well-being and the harm it does in his/her relationships, your responsibility is to stay in faith for your spouse.Pornography is one of Satan's tactics to trap men and women and fulfill his ultimate intent to kill, steal and destroy lives (John 10:10).

First of all, a prayer of agreement is one that is based on God’s Word. Whether it be for salvation, healing, finances or deliverance, God’s Word addresses every life issue.Once you locate the scriptures that apply to your situation, you simply declare those scriptures over it, always thanking the Lord for His answer according to His Word.

You should let the Spirit guide you when you begin a friendship as well as when you end it.The basis for a close friendship should always be common faith and beliefs. A friendship will thrive when both parties are on the same life path.When the path begins to go in different directions regarding things of faith, it may be time to seek close friendship with others. Again, this is a matter between you and the Spirit inside you. Seek His guidance.

Marriage and the intimacy that goes along with marriage is a blessing to husbands and wives, a gift from God Himself. Yes, God made sex for procreation, but He also created it as a physical pleasure to be enjoyed as part of His plan for the marriage covenant. Sex with your spouse is something you can not only enjoy today, but something that you can look forward to becoming better and better over time as you grow closer to each other.

No matter how long you’ve been viewing pornography or how strong the addiction—Jesus wants to help you get completely free. In fact, that is why He came— to set the oppressed free (Luke 4:18).  He has the power to bring complete deliverance if you’ll let Him. You don’t have to trust in your own ability, because the yoke-destroying blood of Jesus covers every sin, every weakness and every trouble.  The first step to be free from viewing pornography is to go to Jesus, confess your sin and receive your cleansing from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9.

Although it may be difficult, do your best not to engage with your spouse’s ex. Endeavor to keep past events in the past, and avoid being drawn into your spouse’s past issues. It is a good practice to pursue peace. Prayer is a very important foundation in the success of any marriage or remarriage.It is also your responsibility to exhibit unconditional love. Don’t speak negatively about your spouse’s ex, especially in front of the children. And be a good listener when it comes to supporting your spouse.

First, ask God for wisdom on how to respond to the individual. Sometimes, control is based on insecurity and fear. Maybe this person had something happen to him or her in the past and believes the only way to have a successful relationship is to be controlling. Or, the person may not even realize he or she is coming across as controlling.You may never know why this person acts the way he or she does, but you can control how you respond. The Lord was very specific about how you should love people.

Weight loss is a matter of personal changes. And yes, God can help us make changes in our lives. We need His power that brings change.We know how to lose weight: Move more, eat less. That’s basic to overall healthy weight loss. But how many actually do the basic things consistently and reach their goals?To be truly free from the bondage of weight we have to allow the Holy Spirit to change and empower us to go higher—spirit, soul and body.

Gloria says, “Persevere!” Keep on keeping on and remember what James 1:25 says: The person who looks carefully into the Word, “and is faithful to it and perseveres in looking into it, being not a heedless listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he shall be blessed in his doing (his life of obedience).”Why persevere? Because although the Word always works when it's put to work, the results can't always be seen overnight. As Jesus said in Mark 4, the Word is like a seed. It grows up gradually and takes time to produce a harvest.

As a Holy Spirit-baptized, Bible-believing Christian, the devil has no authority over you! In fact, you have the power over him. He doesn't have any right to mess with you and what you own. He doesn't have authority over any area of your life—not your health, your family, your finances or anything else.Most people think he practically owns the whole world. But he doesn’t! He doesn’t have the title deed to anything.

If you have made Jesus Christ your Lord, protection belongs to you. In fact, what you know from the Word of God will save your life. If you build God’s promises of protection and deliverance into your heart and life, you can live in this world with all of its danger and still feel secure.

When Jesus quoted from Isaiah 61 concerning the anointing that was on His ministry, He read, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised” (Luke 4:16-18).
