Can I live in constant victory?
Wouldn’t it be great if we could spend all our time in wonderful, spiritual meetings where the power of God shows up and we never have to think about anything else?

What is double-mindedness?
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6-8).Double-mindedness is fluctuating between God’s Word and people’s opinions. It may occur when you act on what you think the Word says, instead of searching the Scriptures for yourself and finding out what God has actually promised.

What does it mean to lay down my life for others?
The Bible says in John 15:13, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”Jesus was telling His disciples to give up the things they wanted to do and to give of themselves to others. He said that there is no greater love than this. We can give of ourselves with prayer. We can give of ourselves with time. We can give of ourselves with love and understanding.

How can I expect to “live like Jesus”?
As Brother Copeland has studied the words and life of Jesus, he has seen again and again that when Jesus was on earth, hearing and obeying the Father was essential to His success. It's essential to ours, too. If we want to live the kind of supernatural life that Jesus lived, we must slow down enough to listen for and to our Father's voice. As Jesus’ disciples, we CAN do it!

I’m so busy! Is there any “shortcut” to developing faith?
It takes more than just being around the Bible to truly connect with its power. You do have to spend time reading it! (How are you going to know what it says if you don't?) You can't be satisfied to read it just every once in a while, either. "Faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ” (Romans 10:17), so if you want to keep your faith fresh and strong you need to be continually nourishing it with the Word.

Living by faith seems to take effort. Can’t I just leave everything up to God?
Living by faith in God's Word is the best decision Kenneth and Gloria ever made. They have been at it a long time now, and can say that without hesitation.Over the past 45 years, God has answered their every prayer of faith. He's given them everything they have believed for. Although they’ve faced challenges and gone through some tough times, they have never lacked for anything. They’ve been absolutely, completely BLESSED!That’s the reason they never get tired of preaching. They want everyone everywhere to get in on the faith life.

How do I live in peace and curse-free in this world?
The Bible teaches clearly how to live curse-free. You can begin to renew your mind and think differently so you can cooperate with the ways of God and experience the fullness of THE BLESSING Jesus purchased for you.Just follow the instructions God gave in verses like these:“My child, listen to me and do as I say, and you will have a long, good life. When you walk, you won’t be held back; when you run, you won’t stumble. Take hold of my instructions; don’t let them go. Guard them, for they are the key to life” (Proverbs 4:10, 12-13).

How do I hear God's voice?
God is speaking to you as a Father speaks to His child. God is not an absentee Father. He's speaking all the time. He's speaking to you through the Bible, which is His written Word. He's speaking to you by His Holy Spirit and fulfilling the promise Jesus made in John 16: “When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future. He will bring me glory by telling you whatever he receives from me.

Why don’t we have supernatural power like the early Christians?
The early Christians were no different than Christians today. After receiving the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:2-4), they went out and started turning the world upside down for Jesus. They preached the gospel, worked miracles, signs and wonders, and The Lord added to the Church daily those who were being saved. But here’s the key: Those first believers received the same Spirit you did when you got saved and baptized with the Holy Ghost. Christians today are carriers of God's glory just as surely as they were!

I’m ordinary. Why would God use me?
God’s dream for mankind has always been to dwell inside of each and every person. When we accept Jesus’ mighty work on our behalf, the Spirit of God comes in and takes up residence in each of us. Our part is to be willing to receive the Holy Spirit and not back down from God’s presence in our lives.

I don’t feel very important. What is my significance to God and His kingdom?
God needs you! He needs every single member of the Body of Christ to be right where He places us on this planet. We each have a specific ministry, a vitally important work to do: in our homes, churches, communities, the nation and our world. If you are feeling insignificant, your feelings are being influenced by something or someone in the world—probably the devil—because in the eyes of God there is no such thing as an insignificant human being. To Him, every one of us is as valuable as Jesus. In God's heart and mind, your worth is equal to His.

God has shown me great things! But how am I supposed to get from here to there?
Don't fret about it. It's not your place to work it out. That's probably what got you off track in the first place. Just agree with God and declare by faith that you are headed to where He has called you to be, and as far as you're concerned, you're there! Then trust God to bring it to pass. He has the resources, wisdom and power to do it.

Isn’t the love of money the root of all evil?
Covetous thinking is what turns people into money lovers. First Timothy 6:9-10 says it this way: "But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows."

How can anyone—especially God—think of me as holy and without blame?
In God's eyes, you are exactly as Ephesians 1:3-4 describes you: "All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes."If you're like many believers, however, when you read the two verses above, your heart sinks. How can that be? Sometimes I stumble and mess things up.

What does it mean to be “born again”?
To understand the term “born again,” you need to realize God is not into behavior modification—He has provided for nothing less than return to His original dream for man. To be born again refers to being restored to the image and likeness of God’s original creation as recorded in Geneses 1 and 2. John described this in the opening of his Gospel:

Doesn’t the Old Testament say that God uses sickness to discipline man?
Certainly the wording of certain scriptures, especially in the King James Version, has caused some to wonder if God is the One who inflicts sickness on us. For example, Deuteronomy 28:61 has been translated, “Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the Lord bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed.”

Who’s Melchizedek?
Melchizedek is one of the most interesting and mysterious figures in the Scriptures (Genesis 14:18; Psalm 110:4; Hebrews 5:6, 10, 6:20, 7:1-28). Most scholars view him as a type and shadow of Jesus Christ. Some believe he is Jesus Himself, before He became a man. And others point to the possibility that Melchizedek was Noah’s youngest son, Shem.Brother Copeland does not believe Melchizedek was actually Jesus, even though his priesthood is a type and shadow of the eternal priesthood of Jesus; he believes that Melchizedek was Shem.

Can negative thoughts cancel out God’s promises?
No! Thoughts cannot cancel God’s promises at all—even those placed in your heart. The promises of God are received by the force of faith that comes out of the heart, not the head. Therefore, it is possible to believe in the heart and have doubt in the head and still obtain God’s blessing.

How will God judge Christians on Judgment Day?
Since Jesus already forgave our sins on the cross, on Judgment Day we will be judged and rewarded for our acts of righteousness, not for our sins. That’s not to say sin has no effect on us. Sin can still affect us by opening the door for Satan to attack us as long as we are still on this earth. When we do not walk by faith, we give Satan the right to destroy our lives (Romans 14:23). Through sin we can separate ourselves from God’s protection.

What is the Apocrypha?
The term “Apocrypha” is used to designate a collection of ancient Jewish writings which were written between 250 B.C. and the early Christian centuries. The Apocryphal books have come to be regarded as inspired scripture in the theology of the Roman Catholic Church, but the historic Protestant and Jewish viewpoint ascribes no real inspiration to them.
