This has been the most wonderful time of preaching the word of faith I’ve experienced in 48 years of ministry. This whole year, we’ve had one great meeting after another.
The term “dying to self” is one that must be analyzed in the light of the New Testament. We must realize that when we made Jesus our Lord, our spirits (which were already dead) were made alive in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-6; Galatians 2:20). The spirit being, which is the real “self,” was recreated. The term “dying to self,” although widely used in Church today, is not valid for the born-again believer.
“But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways” (James 1:6-8).
Double-mindedness is fluctuating between God’s Word and people’s opinions. It may occur when you act on what you think the Word says, instead of searching the Scriptures for yourself and finding out what God has actually promised.
It’s been nearly 60 years since 17-year-old Stanley Black took the gospel to the streets, hospitals and jungles of Costa Rica. Today, at age 76, Stanley is still going strong and helping to change the world, one anointed word at a time, as he travels with and provides Spanish interpretation for Kenneth Copeland.
Every day your body, your finances and your circumstances are listening to you. So say to them what God is saying. Speak His words of BLESSING to every area of your life and He will bring them to pass.
It’s been said that 90 percent of conflict is rooted in misunderstanding.
If that’s the case, and it probably is, then conflict resolution is a matter of all parties sitting down and getting a good understanding of what happened!
Proverbs 13:15 says, “Good understanding gains favor, But the way of the unfaithful is hard.”
Good understanding and faithfulness are connected. Most conflicts arise because someone’s trust (faithfulness) has seemingly been violated.
The concept of yin and yang originates in ancient Chinese philosophy and has been identified with the philosophical religions of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The yin and yang philosophy states that two primal opposing but complementary forces are found in all things in the universe.
