The Creation account in Genesis is probably one of the most intriguing subjects in the Bible. The fact that God created the earth as we know it in six days is truly awesome. While we might not fully grasp with our natural minds what exactly occurred in this time period, we can understand the basic chain of events as we examine the first two chapters of Genesis.
The Biblical instruction to judge ourselves was given in 1 Corinthians 11:31: “For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.”
This scripture was given as an important part of understanding how God disciplines His children. If we don’t understand the truth about God’s discipline, we may give Him credit for bad things that happen in our lives.
The truth is, God did not make angels and man imperfect. God created them to have a choice. And that is where the opportunity to choose against God entered in.
To fear God is not to be afraid of Him. In fact, 1 John 4:18 says, “Perfect love casts out fear” (NKJV). The Bible tells us hundreds of times to “fear not” because fear and terror come from the devil and cause torment (1 John 4:18). But the Hebrew translation for the word fear in reference to God means “to respect or reverence,” which is a very positive thing.

We know that God is actually the One who instituted the concept of holidays because He instructed Israel to have feasts and celebrations in the Old Testament. As Christians, it is beneficial for us to take the time to celebrate and appreciate all the good things God has done for us.
As a born-again believer, you have residing within your spirit the faith of God. You have the life and nature of God. Faith is a fruit of the reborn human spirit (Galatians 5:22). Your faith has the potential to produce the same results that Jesus produced in His earthly ministry (John 14:12).
Confess what God says about those symptoms and circumstances. Some people have wrongly assumed confession is denial of physical facts and temporary circumstances. It is anything but that. It is declaring what God, who never changes, has said about the outcome and standing in faith until all temporary conditions line up with His eternal declaration.
There are people, according to Ephesians 4:11, who are called specifically to operate as prophets. They are anointed by God to speak His message.
In Jeremiah 1:5, God told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (NIV). There is a calling on the life of a prophet to speak on behalf of the Lord as He directs. God is telling His people to pay attention! “Do not scoff at prophecies” (1 Thessalonians 5:20)!

1. Scripture must be interpreted in the light of other scripture.

First John 4:1 tells us to test the spirits whether they are from God. We are to prove all things and hold on to that which is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21).
There is great power in agreement and a spirit of unity. That’s why the devil tries to bring strife into the homes of believers. But you don’t have to tolerate it! You can keep your home strife-free and filled with victory when you do these things.
