Jesus’ Commandment of Love Will Activate These 8 Covenant Promises

In a world full of people making promises, it can be hard to find someone who keeps their promises. But God is different! God keeps His Word; He keeps His covenant promises to you!
How do you know? Because God’s Word is based on a covenant between God the Father and Jesus, that can never be broken and is sealed in the powerful blood of Jesus (Luke 22:20).
God is LOVE. He doesn’t just feel love; He is LOVE personified. Therefore, God’s promises are based on Him and the love He has for you.
Read these assurances of God’s love each day to remind yourself of God’s magnificent love for you and the benefits of being in covenant with Him!
Learn These 8 Covenant Promises to You
God will never leave you.
“For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you’” (Hebrews 13:5).
“No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you” (John 14:18).
God will forgive your sin.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (1 John 1:9).
Whatever you ask, Jesus will do.
“You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:13-14).
Jesus will give you the Holy Spirit.
“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative—that is, the Holy Spirit—he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you”
(John 14:26).
Jesus makes you an overcomer.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NKJV).
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5, NKJV).
You will do greater works than Jesus.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father” (John 14:12).
Jesus made you righteous.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV).
Jesus will come back for you.
“There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” (John 14:2-3).
You can trust God, and you can trust His Word—including His covenant promises to you—because Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear” (Matthew 24:35).
The psalmist David understood this as well when he said, “I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name” (Psalm 138:2). God has backed His promises with the honor of His Name, and you can rest assured that God keeps His promises to you!
