Nonprofit foundations in America award nearly $100 billion annually in grants, while our federal government grants almost $1 trillion to state and local agencies alone. That’s a lot of financial blessing going somewhere to happen! If it’s health care, housing, small business, education or the arts, there’s a grant for it.
But imagine if you added up ALL the requests—financial and otherwise—granted by heaven each year. Those natural grants would pale in comparison!
In the early days of their ministry, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland got home one day from weeks of traveling and holding meetings, only to discover that the ministry was $5,000 in the red. Based on their circumstances, there was no way to pay off that debt.
It was also about that time Brother Copeland first heard Kenneth E. Hagin’s teaching on prosperity, according to…
Mark 11:23-24, NASB:
“Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted to him. Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted to you.”
“At that time you won’t need to ask me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and he will grant your request because you use my name. You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.”
As soon as the Copelands were told about the $5,000 debt, they went into their small office. Brother Copeland got on his knees next to his desk, opened his Bible to Mark 11 and John 16, then told Gloria:
“We can agree for this $5,000 because we have a heavenly grant!”
So, they wrote out exactly what they needed, came into agreement, prayed—and believed God.
Brother Copeland says it was like that $5,000 “grant” had wings, because it flew into their hands so quickly!
To this day, they go through the very same process—for their personal lives and for the ministry—and they even have the ministry’s board of directors participate with them. In fact, for years they’ve gone as far as to have attorneys draw up a contract written as a formal grant, detailing their requests (with scriptures), which everyone signs.
Year after year, God proves Himself faithful and His Word true.
Maybe you don’t need a board of directors or team of attorneys to draw up your heavenly grant request; but with faith, agreement and God’s Word in place—you can count on experiencing God’s faithfulness and generosity. All you have to do is what Kenneth and Gloria do:
Here’s how to apply for your heavenly grant now:
1. Write out what you need.
2. Come into agreement that the need is met according to Mark 11:23-24 and John 16:23-24.
3. Pray and believe God to perform His Word.
Here are more scriptures to consider as you prepare your request:
“If you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted” (John 15:7)!
“Don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly” (Luke 18:7-8)!
“For this reason I bend my knees before the Father…that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner self” (Ephesians 3:14, 16, NASB).
“A prayer of a righteous person, when it is [granted by God], can accomplish much” (James 5:16, NASB).
