We are Partners with KCM and the Swisher Evangelistic Association. Our 20-year-old son lives on the street where the first bombings in Boston happened. He is a student at the Berklee College of Music, which is near the finish line of the Boston Marathon.
He said, “Mom, I was watching TV this morning and had the urge to turn it off and pray Psalm 91 and Psalm 112, so I did. I also pled the blood of Jesus over myself, all of my friends and family. We were about to walk down to the finish line when I thought, Let’s just go upstairs and hang out in the apartment for a while, then walk over. As soon as we got in the apartment door the first bomb went off.”
My son was shaken up, but safe and sound. I praise You, Lord God, for Your faithful Word, which kept our son, Your covenant child, safe in Your refuge. We are praying for all of Boston and every person affected.
