Faithful to His Word
My IT contract came to an end in September 2009. I’d proceeded to job hunt since that date. It became a very frustrating and harrowing experience. My work experience of 16 years didn’t seem to count. For four months I didn’t get an interview.
My husband, children and I stood on God’s Word. We studied the Word and completely immersed in it. We knew the path of the righteous was like the light of the dawn that shines brighter and brighter until the perfect day (Proverbs 4:18).
The devil had convinced us at some point to stop giving our tithes from my husband’s salary, but we rebuked ourselves and asked God for forgiveness. We made a quality decision to either trust God, obey and face the consequences of trusting Him, or disobey completely and remain where we were. But the Word grew mightily in us and prevailed.
It was a year of unemployment when God, in His mercy and favor, delivered us from pain, confusion, gloom, doom, shame, fear and everything hell and Satan has to offer. I got one of the best jobs ever in a global firm, my position being in top management, saddled with the control of managing the processes of this enterprise in 10 European countries. I started work in September 2010 and it is a permanent job position, not a contract position. We believed God for this and He delivered handsomely. My God, our God, is a good God—praise His holy and mighty Name!
