How should we respond to COVID-19?

Sabbath means “rest.” The first reference we find in the Bible about taking a Sabbath rest is God’s command in Exodus 16:23-26: “He told them, ‘This is what the Lord commanded: Tomorrow will be a day of complete rest, a holy Sabbath day set apart for the Lord’” (verse 23).

Is it OK to see a doctor?

Brother Copeland would be the first to tell you the doctor is your best friend if you are sick and your healing has not yet fully shown up. It takes time for your faith to develop. For that reason, it is perfectly all right to pursue medical attention as well. In fact, to refuse to consult a doctor or perhaps stop taking medication (prescription or over-the-counter) before faith is fully developed for healing is potentially dangerous. That would be considered “presumptuous” faith.

Why are verses missing in some Bibles?

Most of it has to do with what manuscripts and Scripture portions the translation was translated from. The King James Version and the New King James Version are translated from manuscripts dating from A.D. 500-1000. Most new translations are produced using a combination of more recent discoveries of earlier manuscripts and fragments dating from A.D. 200-400. It is thought that since these manuscripts are older, they should be more accurate.

Does the Bible say we are gods?

In John 10:34-35, Jesus quoted an Old Testament passage which said, “...You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High” (Psalm 82:6).

What is Kabbalah?

Kabbalah is the study of Jewish mysticism. Kabbalah is an esoteric system (that just means it requires knowledge that is restricted to a small spiritual group) of interpretation of the Scriptures based upon a tradition claimed to have been handed down orally from Abraham. Despite that claimed antiquity, the system appears to have been given its earliest formulation in the 11th century in France and from there spread most notably to Spain.

What does it mean to take part in Christ’s suffering?

When the Word says we are to be partakers of Christ’s suffering, it simply means we are to enter into the victory that Jesus bore for us on the cross (1 Peter 4:13). As we enter into that victory, we encounter spiritual warfare. That’s where the sufferings come from—standing against the forces of evil. Resisting the pressures of life may bring about some physical discomfort, but the sufferings are mainly spiritual sufferings and not physical sufferings such as sickness or disease.

Are we promised protection in the Bible?

What is “naming your seed”?

God desires to meet our needs and heal us simply because He loves us. To connect us with His desire, He has given us a system by which His kingdom operates, and which we are to operate on this earth. It’s called sowing and reaping. Galatians 6:7-9 says, “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good.

We prayed for someone to be healed, and he wasn’t. Why?

When it comes to healing, there are many factors involved. There is no exact formula for healing.  Jesus said in Mark 16:18 (NKJV), “[You] will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”  We must take Him at His Word and believe this is true or our unbelief will hinder our faith. Some healings occur instantaneously, while others are progressive and take place over a period of time. Often, once one is prayed for, the healing has started, even though the physical evidence is not immediately seen.

Will heaven be boring?

No! Kenneth and Gloria both have taught that our time in heaven will be more involved than us simply enjoying the beautiful surroundings. Revelation 22:1-5 says: “Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

Why is it important for a Christian to support ministries?

As Brother Copeland says, “We are called to minister together.” When you support a ministry, you become a part of that ministry. All God has commissioned it to do is done with the help of a team, and when you support it, you become part of that team.  Your support connects you with the work, the rewards and the anointing of the ministry. The grace and anointing on them comes on you, and you share the heavenly reward for every soul won, every person healed and every life changed.

Will I pay for my past sins?

No matter where you come from or what sins you’ve committed, the good news is that when you are born again and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are a new creation and the old things have passed away as far as God is concerned (2 Corinthians 5:17).

How can I have strong friendships?

Not only can you have meaningful friendships, but God desires them for you. He is interested in every aspect of your life. He desires the very best for you. Your heavenly Father sent His best—Jesus—to the cross on your behalf so that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Your Lord and Saviour is the friend that sticks closer than a brother—One who has promised to never leave you nor forsake you.

What is the purpose of prophecy?

There are people, according to Ephesians 4:11, who are called specifically to operate as prophets. They are anointed by God to speak His message.  In Jeremiah 1:5, God told Jeremiah, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations” (NIV). There is a calling on the life of a prophet to speak on behalf of the Lord as He directs. God is telling His people to pay attention! “Do not scoff at prophecies” (1 Thessalonians 5:20)! Prophets See the Future

Is there hope for someone lost in an addiction?

The short answer is: Yes! There is hope for anyone lost in addiction. The longer answer is more complex. When we’re believing for someone’s deliverance from an addiction, we must place our faith in God’s promises to us. Truth and hope for the future live in His Word.   The Bible is not naïve about the nature of addictions. God recognizes the ways in which sinful choices can enslave us, but while He holds us responsible for our actions, He has provided deliverance through Jesus Christ. Just look at what the Bible says Jesus’ sacrifice did for us in Isaiah 53:4-5:

I have been overweight for years and tried every diet in the book. What am I doing wrong?

First of all, let me make a very important correction. God didn’t deliver me from a weight problem. He delivered me from a food problem. It is vital for you to understand that. Because as long as I was simply trying to lose weight, I experienced repeated failure just as you have. I lost literally hundreds of pounds, only to gain them right back again. I would go to God and complain about it and ask for help time after time. But I still wasn’t able to experience victory in that area as I had in other areas of my life.

Does God curse people?

God is not the author of the curse or anything related to the curse, such as sickness, poverty and death (John 10:10). According to Genesis 8:22, God established the law of seedtime and harvest. This law is also referred to as sowing (choosing an action) and reaping (the results of an action). Therefore, when we choose to do wrong, we should expect negative consequences. Galatians 6:7-9 says, “ Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.

How should I respond to symptoms and circumstances?

Confess what God says about those symptoms and circumstances. Some people have wrongly assumed confession is denial of physical facts and temporary circumstances. It is anything but that. It is declaring what God, who never changes, has said about the outcome and standing in faith until all temporary conditions line up with His eternal declaration.

I'm concerned about the safety of my children. How can I be sure God will protect them?

You can be sure that God will protect your children because He’s specifically said He will. His written Word is absolutely full of promises that, if you will believe them and act upon them, will guarantee the safety of you and your children—regardless of how dangerous the world around you becomes. One of the most powerful ways to build your faith and to activate promises like these in your life is to incorporate them into your prayers every day. As Jeremiah 1:12 says, “God watches over His Word to perform it,” so it makes solid spiritual sense to pray the Word!

What is sin?

Sin is what separates man from God. This chasm between God and man happened in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve rebelled against God and ate the forbidden fruit, thereby giving the authority and dominion they possessed on earth over to Satan. Because of that original sin, “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23, KJV).
