What does “dying to self ” mean?
The term “dying to self” is one that must be analyzed in the light of the New Testament. We must realize that when we made Jesus our Lord, our spirits (which were already dead) were made alive in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:1-6; Galatians 2:20). The spirit being, which is the real “self,” was recreated. The term “dying to self,” although widely used in Church today, is not valid for the born-again believer.

Is hypnosis a valid tool of medical treatment?
Hypnosis is a heathen practice that has been developed through the years as a form of medical treatment. But even then, you have the upper hand. You can resist those thoughts by speaking God’s Word out of your mouth. Romans 12:2 says, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think.”

What’s wrong with human cloning?
With reports of success in cloning the first human embryo, many people are asking this question. The issue of human cloning is answered only by understanding human dignity. The embryo that would be created by human cloning is a human being endowed with the right to life, a free will, a purpose and a destiny. Human dignity is at stake whether the purpose of cloning is to create a human organism solely to destroy it for medical research, or to create a new form of human reproduction.
