Actually, what we are experiencing are the results of a principle that has been with us since Creation—the law of sowing and reaping: “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from the seeds sown from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit. So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up” (Galatians 6:7-9).

The harvest of seeds sown from the sinful nature is judgment, and the harvest of seeds sown to please the Spirit is blessing. Judgment and overflow are simply the results, or consequences, of the law of sowing and reaping. The Lord has revealed to Brother Copeland that we are now living in times when the seeds we sow will come to a quick harvest. In times of overflow, it’s critically important to be harvesting good things and not bad.

In these times, it is especially important to recognize what a seed is. Everything we do in life is a seed. There are spiritual, mental, physical and financial seeds we sow with our mouths, actions and money. That’s why it is so important to be aware of the words we speak, our thoughts and the way we respond to every situation. Everything in life is governed by spiritual law, and the root of all spiritual law is seedtime and harvest (Genesis 8:22).
