Religious tradition says that healing has passed away. They aren’t exactly sure when it happened, but they seem certain of its demise.

When you start reading the Bible, however, it’s easy to see why tradition is mistaken. God said, “I am the LORD that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26, KJV). He didn’t say, "I was the LORD who healed you," or, "I will be the LORD who heals you in heaven someday." He said, "I am your Healer—right now, today!" “I am the LORD, I change not” (Malachi 3:6, KJV).

If those verses aren’t enough, 2 Corinthians 6:2 says, “Today is the day of salvation." Salvation means more than just being born again. It means deliverance, preservation, material and temporal deliverance from danger and apprehension, pardon, preservation, protection, liberty, health, and restoration.

Healing belongs to you! God has given us great promises in His Word, including promises of health and wholeness. He sent Jesus to die on the cross to redeem us from sin and sickness. Galatians 3:13 (KJV) says, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us….” The curse includes every sickness and every disease (Deuteronomy 28:15-68). Jesus’ sacrifice paid for us to be redeemed from them all.

As far as God is concerned, that settles the issue of healing. It’s all done. There’s nothing left for Him to do. Healing belongs to us in Christ Jesus, and yet it’s not automatic. It’s up to us to receive it.

If you need healing, take it! Take it with your faith and with your words. Believe you receive it, and don’t waver.
