Can I use my tithe to purchase Christian teachings?

Purchasing ministry materials and tithing are two different things, even if a portion of your purchase goes to support a ministry like KCM.

Here is the difference: The person who tithes places himself in covenant relationship with God and trusts Him to supply all of his needs (even the needs for teaching material). So, the tithe is not used to pay bills or buy merchandise. Instead, it is used in worship and praise to the Lord. We don’t believe it would be right to buy anything else with the tithe. The exception is if the Lord has specifically directed the purchase of material as a gift for another person or organization.

God sees the desire of your heart. And He knows the ministry material would be very helpful in your spiritual growth. But He said He would supply the desires of your heart as you are obedient and look to Him first (Psalm 37:4-5; Matthew 6:33). So we encourage you to trust God to supply the extra money you need to buy ministry materials. We join our faith with yours believing God will meet your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
