5 Confessions for Knowing God’s Plan for Your Life

God has a plan for your life! Jeremiah 29:11 promises this: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.’”

Do you know God’s plans for you? Do you know why He placed you on this earth in this particular time? If you don’t, it’s OK. The good news is that He wants you to know. To help you get started discovering what God’s good plans are for you, begin praying and declaring the following 5 Confessions for God’s Plans for Your Life.

1. Lord, based on the promise in John 10:1-5, I declare that I hear You. I know Your voice. I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, and the voice of a stranger I will not follow.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber! But the one who enters through the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice” –John 10:1-5.

2. I trust You, Lord, with all my heart. I do not depend on my own understanding; rather, I seek Your will in all I do, trusting that You will show me which path to take.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take” –Proverbs 3:5-6.

3. Lord, I will stay in Your Word because Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. You will lead me and guide me in the way I should go.
“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path” –Psalm 119:105.
“The LORD says, ‘I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you’” –Psalm 32:8.

4. Lord, all day long I put my hope in You. I trust that You make known to me the path You want me to follow. You lead me by Your truth, for You are the God who saves me.
“Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you” –Psalm 25:4-5.

5. Thank You, Lord, that You will never give up on me; You will never leave me nor forsake me; rather, You will be faithful to complete the good work that You began in me. You will continue Your work in me until it is finally finished, on the day when Jesus returns.
“For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you’” (Hebrews 13:5).
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” –Philippians 1:6.
