A Prayer for Stressful Family Visits/Situations

Lord, let Your Holy Spirit be poured out from heaven upon our family. Then the wilderness will become a fertile field, and the fertile field will yield bountiful crops. I pray justice will rule in the wilderness and righteousness in the fertile field and this righteousness will bring peace in our family. I pray it will bring quietness and confidence forever. I pray my family will live in safety, quietly at home, and they will be at rest with one another.

You say if we ask for wisdom, You will give it to us generously, so I ask that You give us wisdom from above—wisdom which is first of all pure, peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and good deeds, shows no favoritism and is always sincere. I pray we will be peacemakers in our family and we will plant seeds of peace with one another and reap a harvest of righteousness. In Jesus’ Name.
