7 Covenant Prayers To Pray for Others

Do you ever feel like you don’t know how to pray for other believers? Maybe you have a friend or a family member who is struggling in an area of their life. There is a huge temptation to tell them what you know or what to do. Unless you have the leading of the Holy Spirit, your words could end up hurting rather than helping. You are not without hope and help in God. He has provided these 7 Covenant Prayers To Pray for Others who are in covenant with God.
- Psalm 23 — Lord, You are (name)’s Shepherd. They have all they need. You let them rest in green meadows and lead them beside peaceful streams. You renew their strength. You guide them along right paths. Your rod and staff protect and comfort them. You prepare a feast for them in the presence of their enemies. You anoint their head with oil, and their cup overflows with blessings. Your goodness and unfailing love pursue them all the days of their lives, and they will live in Your house, Lord, forever.
- Psalm 91 — God, You alone are (name)’s refuge, their place of safety. You are their God and they trust You. For You rescue them from every trap and protect them from deadly disease. You cover them with Your feathers and shelter them with Your wings. Your faithful promises are their armor and protection. Because they make You, Lord, their refuge and the Most High their shelter, no evil will conquer them and no plague will come near their home. You order Your angels to protect them wherever they go.
- Psalm 103 — Lord, let (name) praise You with their whole heart. May they never forget the good things You do for them. You forgive all their sins and heal all their diseases. You redeem them from death and crown them with love and tender mercies. You fill their life with good things so that their youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
- Isaiah 54:17 — No weapon formed against (name) will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse them. They enjoy these benefits because they are Your servants, Lord, and their vindication comes from You!
- Ephesians 1:16-23 — I pray for (name) constantly, asking You, God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give them spiritual wisdom and insight so that they might grow in their knowledge of You. I pray that their heart will be flooded with light so that they can understand the confident hope You have given to those You called—Your holy people who are Your rich and glorious inheritance.
- Romans 15:13 — I pray that You, God, the source of hope, will fill (name) completely with joy and peace because they trust in You. Then they will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
- Philippians 1:9-11 — I pray that (name)’s love will overflow more and more, and that they will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding so that they will live a pure and blameless life until the day of Christ’s return. May they always be filled with the fruit of their salvation—the righteous character produced in their life by Jesus Christ.
