Have you ever received a message or a word from someone right on time? Maybe you were searching for an answer, and someone came along and spoke the answer to you. What a gift! While the Christmas season is a time when we think of giving to our families and attending get-togethers, it’s also a time when many people are searching for answers. They are more tenderhearted and open to hearing about who Jesus became as an adult and why He died on the cross for them. As carriers of Jesus, we can be the ones who share the right word at the right time because we have the Answer—Jesus! While we’re celebrating with our friends and families, we can purposefully pause and share His love with others. Keep reading to discover 4 Ways To Share God’s Love This Christmas and perhaps change someone’s life forever.

1. Honor the Lord in Whatever You Say and Do

“Whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.” –Colossians 3:17

As you participate in your favorite traditions and activities, remember to honor the Lord with what you say and what you do. As you represent Jesus faithfully and share His love with others, people will notice a difference in you.
Commit to spend time with Him every morning before each day’s festivities begin. Allow Him to lead and guide you, making each day operate far smoother and much more enjoyably (Matthew 6:33; Ephesians 3:20)
As you do these things, you might be surprised by what He does for you that day. It could be reconnecting with a family member or an old friend, or maybe a complete stranger. Whatever it looks like, you can be certain God is in the middle of it, and you will be blessed.

2. Give the Best Gift

“Now thanks be to God for His Gift, [precious] beyond telling [His indescribable, inexpressible, free Gift]!” –2 Corinthians 9:15 (AMPC)

Imagine you’re walking around holding a very expensive gift. You are looking for someone to give it to, wondering, Who will receive this priceless gift? You’re anticipating great things once they open it.
That’s what Jesus does every minute of the day as He looks for someone to accept His mighty gift of salvation (2 Corinthians 9:15). As believers, we are carriers of this same gift ourselves, and we are privileged to share His Goodness with others (Matthew 10:8). Wherever you go this holiday, ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you to those with whom you’re supposed to share the precious gift of salvation. It is the best gift anyone can receive!

3. Give to Those in Need

"...be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others."-1Tmothy. 6:18 (NLT)

Kenneth Copeland has shared how he’s had some beautiful experiences showing the love of God by giving to others in need during Christmastime. He tells them, “This money is from The LORD Jesus Christ. I serve Him. He is the One who instructed me to help you.”
Ask the Lord who He would have you help and give to this Christmas. Whether it’s giving gifts to family and friends, or giving money to someone who is in need, ask the Holy Spirit to lead and guide you through sharing from the abundance of His heart—a smile, a kind word, prayers.

4. Encourage Others

“Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing.” –1 Thessalonians 5:11, AMPC

Have you ever been in a store and the clerk looks like he or she is having a challenging day? Have you ever stood in line with people stressed and complaining, desperate to get to their next stop? We have the power to change the atmosphere for others in situations like these and so many more. As you’re running your own errands and bumping into people, encourage them! Do what you can to make them see the bright side and laugh.
Encouragement is a powerful tool that can soften distressed and angry hearts simply by speaking out of God’s love. Edifying another person, even just by paying them a compliment, can go a long way in turning someone’s day around (Ephesians 4:29; Philippians 2:3-4).

As you minister from these 4 Ways To Share God’s Love This Christmas, your acts of kindness and sharing the glorious love of Christ will shine His light onto others.
