10 Faith-Building Confessions

When each of us was born again and made a new creation in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:17), God gave us a measure of faith. “For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3, NKJV).

For our faith walk to be successful and consistent, and to bear much fruit in our lives, bringing forth the harvest we desire in each season of our lives, we must develop it. We must grow it. This process begins with using it, by implementing the fundamentals of faith, as Kenneth Copeland has taught for more than 50 years.

The fundamentals of faith include:

  1. Believing in your heart what the Word of God has to say about a situation in your life (Mark 11:22-25).
  2. Saying what you want or need, being sure to include the promise from God’s Word concerning your need (Mark 11:23; 2 Corinthians 4:13).
  3. Receiving what you want or need by faith (Matthew 21:22).
  4. Calling things that do not exist as though they do…which means declaring the end result you want before you see it or feel it (Romans 4:17).
  5. Applying corresponding action, because faith without works is dead (James 2:17, 21-24).

For our faith to continue growing throughout our Christian walk so that it can overcome every challenge we face, we must fuel it. We must encourage it. This is how we increase our faith continually.

To help you implement the practice of developing your faith, consider the following 10 Faith-Building Confessions based on the Word of God.

  1. It is by grace, through faith, that I have been saved, and it is by faith that I continue to work out my salvation. God is faithful to work in me to do His will and to do His good pleasure (Ephesians 2:8; Philippians 2:12-13).
  2. I have been crucified with Christ. Nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me. The life which I now live, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
  3. I respond out of love to everyone I meet because faith works by love (Galatians 5:6).
  4. I pray in tongues regularly, building myself up in my holy faith, because that is what God said for me to do (Jude 20-21).
  5. I listen to the Word of God continually, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
  6. I believe even when it is hard to believe. I ask God for help and He helps me even in my unbelief (Mark 9:24).
  7. God lives in me, and He cannot disown Himself. Though at times I feel faithless, God is faithful to me (2 Timothy 2:13).
  8. I will not fear, for God is with me. He will strengthen and help me. In whatever I face, He will uphold me with His righteous right hand (Isaiah 41:10).
  9. In everything I do, I look to Jesus. I fix my eyes on Him, because He is the Author and Finisher of my faith (Hebrews 12:2).
  10. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; therefore, I live by faith. I walk by faith and not by sight (Romans 1:7; 2 Corinthians 5:7).
