Question of the Day

When Kenneth and Gloria started their journey of faith they had questions too—lots of them! So, we've compiled the most frequently asked questions by people like you—people who earnestly desire to find God's answers to the practical, real-life challenges of everyday living. We have a new question every day, so check back often!

When it comes to healing, there are many factors involved. There is no exact formula for healing.

Jesus said in Mark 16:18 (NKJV), “[You] will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

We must take Him at His Word and believe this is true or our unbelief will hinder our faith. Some healings occur instantaneously, while others are progressive and take place over a period of time. Often, once one is prayed for, the healing has started, even though the physical evidence is not immediately seen.

In any case, the person who needs healing should speak faith-filled words—the Lord’s Word and not his own. By standing on that Word and holding onto faith, the Lord’s Word is accomplished. It doesn’t matter that the physical change isn’t seen.

How long should we speak those faith-filled words and believe that a healing is taking place? We speak those words until the healing is complete, and the Lord’s Word is accomplished (1 Peter 2:24; Ephesians 6:13-17; Romans 4:17). Then, those words should be spoken daily in order to stay well.

It is important to remember that the reason someone else did not receive may be between God and them.

In the meantime, it’s important that you do not let the lack of a manifestation damage your faith or keep you from laying hands on the next person who needs the supernatural touch of Jesus. We don’t always know why certain people aren’t healed, but we do know this: Jesus is the Healer, and it is God’s will that every person be healed, healthy and whole.
