Real Help Topic: Believe

It’s easy to have confidence that God loves you when everything is going right. But when you’ve missed it, failed again or feel unworthy, believing in God’s love for you can seem harder than it should.

Yet, confidence in God’s love is foundational to your faith. Until you settle this, you’ll struggle to receive what He’s already given you. The simple and life-changing truth is that God loves you completely, consistently and unconditionally.

Learning to believe that love will change how you live. Here’s how.

Believe God Loves You Despite Your Failures

You may replay your mistakes in your mind, but God doesn’t. Scripture tells you exactly how He sees you:

“But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead” (Ephesians 2:4-5).

Notice this happened while you were still struggling, hurting or even broken–not after you got it all together.

An illustration helps make this clear. When a child falls while learning to walk, a loving parent doesn’t scold him for falling. He reaches down, lifts his child, and encourages him to try again. That’s how your heavenly Father responds to you. He’s not shocked by your humanity. He’s already provided mercy for it.

Practically, this means you stop letting past failures disqualify you. When the enemy brings up your mistakes, you reject his accusations and answer with God’s Word. You remind yourself that “there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus” (Romans 8:1)

Purpose to align your feelings about yourself with God’s love and what He says about you.

Believe God Loves You Without Requiring Anything from You

God’s love cannot be bought. You also can’t earn it by good behavior, spiritual performance or perfect consistency. The Bible says, “This is real love–not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins” (1 John 4:10). His love started with Him and is sustained by Him, not you.

Think of a close friendship. It doesn’t thrive on a constant effort to impress, but on shared time and genuine connection. God desires a close relationship and fellowship with you, just as you do with Him.

Revelation 3:20 says that Jesus stands at the door and knocks, waiting for you to open it and commune with Him. He’s not demanding perfection. Jesus is inviting you into a relationship and fellowship with Him.

To apply this, shift your prayer life from obligation and duty to open-hearted conversation. Spend time with God simply because He enjoys being with you–and you with Him. Read His Word not to check a box, but to hear His heart. Time with God will strengthen your awareness of His love far more than your efforts ever could.

Believe God Loves You and Wants the Best for You

Some believers accept that God loves them, but inwardly doubt how long His love will last when their failures are uncovered. Your weaknesses, failures and shortcomings are not a surprise to God. Nothing is hidden from Him (Mark 4:22). Scripture makes His heart unmistakably clear:

“For I know the plans I have for you…. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11)

God doesn’t love you reluctantly. He delights in blessing you. And be sure, He will never fail you nor abandon you (Hebrews 13:5). During His ministry on earth, Jesus reinforced this when He said:

“So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him” (Matthew 7:11)

God’s goodness toward you is intentional and everlasting, so much so that God’s love is proactive and seeking you, not reactive in response to your actions.

Picture a loving parent preparing a future for his child, including a good education, overflowing provision and secure protection. He doesn’t do it begrudgingly; he does it joyfully. Your Father’s plans for your life are marked by protection, purpose and prosperity.

In practical terms, believing this means you expect God to be good to you. You approach Him with confidence, not hesitation. You pray boldly, knowing He wants to answer. When challenges arise, you do not waver, knowing the truth that God is working on your behalf, even when you can’t yet see it.

Moving Forward In Confidence

Believing God loves you isn’t just comforting, it’s empowering. When you’re convinced of God’s love, your faith grows stronger, prayers become bolder, and life becomes fuller. God loves you despite your failures, without requiring anything from you, and with a deep desire to bless you. Let that truth settle in your heart.

As you do, you’ll find yourself walking forward with confidence, peace and immovable hope, secure in the One who will never let you go.

Most believers say they believe in miracles, but are you living like you believe they’re true? There’s a difference between mere mental assent that God can do miracles and actually expecting to experience one in your own life. The truth is, the supernatural is meant to be normal for every child of God. You were created to live in daily fellowship with Him, where His power works in and through you.

When you believe God’s Word with your whole heart, you’ll see His power flow in ways that defy the natural. Miracles aren’t random acts of divine surprise–they are the everyday evidence of a believer who takes God at His Word.

Believe That God Still Works Miracles

Many people believe in God but wonder if He still does miracles today. They think, That was for Bible times. But the Bible says God never changes. The same Jesus who healed the sick, multiplied loaves and calmed the storm is alive and working right now.

Faith begins when you decide to take God at His Word, not depend on what you see. You may not understand how or when a miracle will happen, but faith says, “If God said it, it’s true.” When you truly believe that, circumstances can no longer control you and fear has no place to operate in your life. That’s why it’s critical to base your expectation on what God says in His Word.

Start with a simple daily reminder: My Father is a miracle-working God, and He loves me. That simple truth will strengthen your faith more than you realize. This is where miracles begin: by believing that His power is real, and that it’s available to you.

Speak Like You Expect the Supernatural

If you believe something is true, it will show up in your words. What you speak reveals what’s in your heart. When you notice that you are thinking and talking more about your problems than God’s promises, recognize that you are working against God’s miracle-working power. But when you speak faith–declaring what the Word says–you invite heaven’s power into your situation. And, as you speak faith, you will continue to develop it within your heart, as Romans 10:17 says: “faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God” (NKJV).

Instead of saying, “I’ll never get better” or “I don’t see how this could work,” choose to say, “God is working in me right now. His power is bringing me to victory.” Speaking faith doesn’t ignore reality–it changes the reality into God’s will.

When Kenneth and Gloria Copeland first began walking by faith, they learned that words are carriers of power. God created the world with words, and He’s given you that same creative authority. When your words line up with His, miracles follow.

Act Like the Miracle Is on Its Way

Faith is more than believing–it’s acting like the Word is true. If you’re believing for healing, start thanking God for it before you feel it. If you’re believing for financial breakthrough, sow generously with expectation. If you’re praying for restoration, begin walking in love and forgiveness now.

Miracle-minded believers don’t wait for proof–they live as if the promise has already been fulfilled. Every action of faith is a seed that releases God’s power to move on your behalf.

Live Like You Believe In Miracles

God never intended miracles to be rare or reserved for a few; they are the inheritance of every believer. When you believe His Word, speak it with confidence, and act in faith, you’ll find that the supernatural becomes your new normal.

So, ask yourself today: Am I living like I believe miracles are true? Choose to believe. Speak His Word. Take a step of faith. Then watch what happens–because when you walk in miracles, your life will be filled with the love, power and glory of God.

In a world full of people making promises, it can be hard to find someone who keeps their promises. But God is different! God keeps His Word; He keeps His covenant promises to you!

How do you know? Because God’s Word is based on a covenant between God the Father and Jesus, that can never be broken and is sealed in the powerful blood of Jesus (Luke 22:20).

God is LOVE. He doesn’t just feel love; He is LOVE personified. Therefore, God’s promises are based on Him and the love He has for you.

Read these assurances of God’s love each day to remind yourself of God’s magnificent love for you and the benefits of being in covenant with Him!

Learn These 8 Covenant Promises to You

God will never leave you.
“For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you'” (Hebrews 13:5).
“No, I will not abandon you as orphans–I will come to you” (John 14:18).

God will forgive your sin.
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness” (1 John 1:9).

Whatever you ask, Jesus will do.
“You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” (John 14:13-14).

Jesus will give you the Holy Spirit.
“But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative–that is, the Holy Spirit–he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you”
(John 14:26).

Jesus makes you an overcomer.
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4, NKJV).

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5, NKJV).

You will do greater works than Jesus.
“I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father” (John 14:12).

Jesus made you righteous.
“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21, KJV).

Jesus will come back for you.
“There is more than enough room in my Father’s home. If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am” (John 14:2-3).

You can trust God, and you can trust His Word–including His covenant promises to you–because Jesus said, “Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear” (Matthew 24:35).

The psalmist David understood this as well when he said, “I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name” (Psalm 138:2). God has backed His promises with the honor of His Name, and you can rest assured that God keeps His promises to you!

A trapeze artist swings high in the air from one bar to another. He must let go of one bar before he can grab hold of the next one. The only way for him to move forward is to let go.

That’s what you must do in your life.

Let go of things in your past to move forward in life. Dwelling on the past and situations you can’t change will keep you from moving forward. Learn how to let go of defeat, failure and shame, and swing forward to victory!

Let Go of Defeat

Kenneth Copeland had to learn how to let go of defeat. Years ago, he was preaching at a tent meeting. It seemed like everything was going wrong. In those days, the services were recorded on cassette tape, duplicated and offered for sale.

He ran out of tapes. When the new box of tapes he had ordered was delivered, it had been run over by a truck, and the tapes were broken. Then torrential rain came, and the tent collapsed! It was a defeating moment, but rather than give up, Brother Copeland prayed for direction.

In himself, he didn’t know what to do, but he knew God had the answer to turn this defeat into victory! He sought God for the answer and determined to not quit!

Right away, God blessed him by sending a man who had the equipment to plant the tent stakes more firmly. This man ensured that the top of the tent didn’t sag with the weight of the rainwater. Then, more tapes were delivered, and the meeting finished successfully!

You may have faced possible defeats, such as the loss of a loved one or a job, financial troubles, or sickness. Whatever in your life has tried to defeat you, you can overcome it!

Ask God for the help or wisdom you need and watch Him go to work on your behalf. He said you could ask anything in the Name of Jesus and He will do it (John 14:14).

Let Go of Failure

Let go of failure because things in this life are temporary.

Failure happens to everyone at some time. Every person is operating from the knowledge or understanding they have at the present time. Paul wrote that we only know in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). We are limited to what we can see, but God’s perspective of every situation is perfect because He sees and knows everything.

What you might consider a failure and a full stop on progress today could be a success and  a spark to move forward tomorrow. Let go of what happened and lean into what will be, by faith.

Some thought Jesus’ life was a failure when He died on the cross. But, three days later, Jesus rose from the dead, bringing eternal life, joy and peace to all who will receive it.

Something in your life may have been a failure, and if you have wronged someone or an organization, repent for your mistakes. Then shake yourself off and let go of failure.

God’s plan for you is success, and He will lead you to let go of failure and move forward!

Let Go of Shame

Holding onto shame will destroy you.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, shame is 1: a painful emotion caused by consciousness of guilt, shortcoming, or impropriety; 2: a condition of humiliating disgrace or disrepute; 3: something that brings censure or reproach; also something to be regretted; pity.

Webster’s Dictionary also states, “The emotional response to shame is a painful feeling that can lead to self-consciousness and negative self-evaluation. It often makes individuals feel inadequate or unworthy, and it can lead to feelings of worthlessness or powerlessness.”

As you can see from this definition, shame will try to invade every aspect of your life. Shame tries to keep you from speaking out about the goodness of God. Shame discourages your soul and convinces you to hide your faith.

Take the spiritual authority given to you by God; and demand shame and all its tentacles to get out of your mind, your will and your emotions. You can be as bold as a lion! You can do it!

When shame goes, fill that hole with the Word of God; don’t allow your soul to stay empty. You can fill up by feeding on the Word from VICTORY Channel. Let go of shame and move forward!

Just like that trapeze artist, you can let go of the pain of the past, swing forward to the new life God promised, and experience victory!

  20. “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies” (1 Peter 3:10).

From the historic Titanic to our modern megaships, it’s still amazing how small of a rudder it takes to turn a boat of any size. And no matter how “unsinkable” a vessel may be deemed, its rudder is the one thing that can navigate it through even the most treacherous of waters.

In the same way, your tongue can do much the same: It can land you into some deep messes or take you across uncharted seas and into safe harbors (James 3:1-12). 1 Peter 3:10 says, “If you want to enjoy life and see many days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.”

How Do the Words I Speak Affect My Healing?

The best approach to growing a beautiful lawn–once you’ve prepared the soil and spread your seed or sod–is to consistently water, fertilize and weed it.

Surprisingly, the way to grow your faith is quite similar. Once you’ve prepared the soil of your heart (accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior), spread the seed of God’s Word in your heart and begun to consistently water it with the Word, you need to boost it with some fertilizer, or scriptures; and remove any weeds, or sin, by being quick to repent.

When you read and meditate on each of these 10 Bible Verses To Feed Your Faith, you are not only igniting the faith God gave you when you were first saved (Romans 12:3-8), but you are also feeding, or fertilizing, your faith, causing it to grow and develop.

  1. “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. And who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God” (1 John 5:4-5).
  2. “So, faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ” (Romans 10:17).
  3. “Then Jesus said to the disciples, ‘Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, “May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,” and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours” (Mark 11:22-24).
  4. “The Lord answered, ‘If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, “May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,” and it would obey you!'” (Luke 17:6).
  5. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see…. By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen” (Hebrews 11:1-3).
  6. “Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith” (Romans 3:27).
  7. “But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, ‘I believed in God, so I spoke'” (2 Corinthians 4:13).
  8. “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
  9. “You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it” (Matthew 21:22).
  10. “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise” (Hebrews 10:23).

Keep these 10 Bible Verses To Feed Your Faith before your eyes, and before you know it, your faith will have blossomed. Instead of just enjoying a beautiful lawn or flower garden, you’ll be enjoying the wonderful promises of God in your life!

Have you ever experienced someone abruptly ending a relationship with you without any real explanation? Maybe they quit taking your calls, reading your texts or following you on social media. If you have, then you know it can leave you feeling a bit dazed, hurt and rejected.

People will always have the capacity to hurt you, but God never will. He only has the capacity to love you wholeheartedly and unconditionally. First John 4:16 says, “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (NKJV). Strengthen your belief in the love God has for you by reminding yourself of 15 Ways God Loves You.

  1. God loves you.
“This is real love–not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” -1 John 4:10)
  2. God made you in His image.
“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” -Genesis 1:27)
  3. God saves you.

The familiar saying “more month than money” means you are running out of money before the end of the month; you don’t have enough money to last the whole month. What if you could flip the script and instead “have more money than month”?

The Bible makes it clear that God wants you to prosper. He said, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (3 John 2, NKJV). Your soul is made up of your mind, will and emotions. When you renew your mind to think what God thinks instead of what life has taught you to think, your soul is prospering. By changing the way you think, God transforms you into a new person who makes different choices with your money (Romans 12:2).

To help you start thinking like God thinks about your finances and stop living paycheck to paycheck, renew your mind with the following 10 Scriptures for Having More Money Than Month.

  1. Deuteronomy 2:7
“For the LORD your God has blessed you in everything you have done. He has watched your every step through this great wilderness. During these forty years, the LORD your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.”
  2. Deuteronomy 28:8
“The LORD will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.”
  3. Psalm 34:10
“Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will lack no good thing.”
  4. Proverbs 10:22
“The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.”
  5. John 10:10
“The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
  6. Luke 6:38
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back.”
  7. Ephesians 3:20
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (MEV).
  8. Philippians 4:19
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
  9. 2 Corinthians 9:8
“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
  10. Jeremiah 17:7-8
“But blessed are those who trust in the LORD and have made the LORD their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

Watch Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearsons share how financial freedom is available for all.

Keep renewing your mind with these 10 Scriptures for Having More Money Than Month and change the way you live by changing the way you think. As you believe differently and make different choices regarding your money, you’ll find that when the end of the month comes, instead of an empty bank account, you will still have money left to enjoy.

A number of years ago, Kenneth Copeland twisted his back and ruptured a disk. Immediately, he began to experience horrific pain. His body was screaming at him; he probably “felt” like screaming a lot of things while he was in pain. A person who is in excruciating pain doesn’t usually have the best attitude.

Contrary to what his body was saying, Brother Copeland began shouting praises to God as loud as he could while medical personnel rushed to his aid. While he was praising, the pain subsided, but any time he stopped, the pain returned. Realizing what was happening, Kenneth began to praise God for everything–the trees, the birds, the weather, his family and his Partners. And as he did, the pain subsided once more.

When you’re surrounded by pain or pressure, when you’re being attacked by the enemy, do you typically respond as Brother Copeland did with words of praise and thanksgiving? If you find it difficult to do so when circumstances come against you, it’s time to renew your mind with God’s Word (Romans 12:2, NKJV). Get started today with these 10 Scriptures To Create an Attitude of Thanksgiving, so when the pressure is on, words of praise and thanksgiving are coming out of your mouth!

  1. “Serve the LORD your God with joy and enthusiasm for the abundant benefits you have received…” (Deuteronomy 28:47).
  2. “Shout with joy to the LORD, all the earth! Worship the LORD with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy” (Psalm 100:1-2).
  3. “Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4).
  4. “Let all that I am praise the LORD; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name. Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies. He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!” (Psalm 103:1-5).
  5. “Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever….Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them” (Psalm 107:1, 8).
  6. “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6).
  7. “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).
  8. “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy” (James 1:2).
  9. “…Let us constantly and at all times offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of lips that thankfully acknowledge and confess and glorify His name” (Hebrews 13:15, AMPC).
  10. “But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume” (2 Corinthians 2:14).

Watch Kenneth and Gloria Copeland teach you how gratitude and praise will cure any situation!

How To Live a Life of Thanksgiving
The Praise Cure

Have you ever been on a ship during a storm? The ship will be rocking and rolling, tossing about, and even be at risk of capsizing. The captain of a ship can drop the anchor during a storm to secure the ship and prevent that from happening.

When a storm is brewing in your life–when things are happening that are causing distress, discouragement and harm–it’s important to have an anchor. That anchor is God’s faithfulness. You can be anchored, tethered to God and His faithfulness, and survive the storms in your life.

1 Corinthians 10:13 says, “[No temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not adjusted and adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear]. But God is faithful [to His Word and to his compassionate nature]…He will [always] also provide the way out” (AMPC). God is faithful to His Word and His compassionate nature! These 10 Scriptures To Anchor You to God’s Faithfulness will get you out of any storm brewing in your life.

God Is Faithful to His Word

  1. “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers 23:19).
  2. “Not a single one of all the good promises the LORD had given to the family of Israel was left unfulfilled; everything he had spoken came true” (Joshua 21:45).
  3. “Praise the LORD who has given rest to his people Israel, just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the wonderful promises he gave through his servant Moses” (1 Kings 8:56).
  4. “The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. You will live in joy and peace…” (Isaiah 55:10-12).
  5. “Now you have every spiritual gift you need as you eagerly wait for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will keep you strong to the end so that you will be free from all blame on the day when our Lord Jesus Christ returns. God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord” (1 Corinthians 1:7-9).

God Is Faithful to His Compassionate Nature

  1. “The LORD passed in front of Moses, calling out, ‘Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness'” (Exodus 34:5-6).
  2. “We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. And as we live in God, our love grows more perfect. So we will not be afraid on the day of judgment, but we can face him with confidence because we live like Jesus here in this world” (1 John 4:16-17).
  3. “Love [God] never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love [God] will last forever!… Three things will last forever–faith, hope, and love [God]–and the greatest of these is love [God]” (1 Corinthians 13:7-8, 13).
  4. “The Lord replied, ‘I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose'” (Exodus 33:19).
  5. “So he complained to the LORD about it: ‘Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, LORD? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people'” (Jonah 4:2).

You can come out of the storms of life unscathed by believing these 10 Scriptures To Anchor You to God’s Faithfulness. As you anchor your life to God’s faithfulness, you’ll watch the dark clouds of distress and discouragement just roll away!

10 Ways God Proves He Is Faithful to You

A Study of God’s Faithfulness

God wants you to have a vision for your life! He wants you to see in your heart and mind what He wants you to do, and where He wants you to go. It’s a practice and a pattern we see all throughout the Bible. God repeatedly gave His people dreams and visions…to encourage, direct and guide them…to lead them to safety…to assure them of His protection…to show them their future for the short-term and over the course of many years. Dreams and visions were tools God used to communicate with His people. What’s more, it’s something that God is still doing today. That’s right, God is still giving His people dreams and visions! He’s still putting desires in our hearts that He wants to fulfill (Proverbs 3:5-6, 37).

What has God put in your heart to do? What has He envisioned for you to accomplish in your lifetime? If it can be backed by the Word and the principles of God’s Word, then that is something God wants for your life. That is His will for you. That is His vision for you. And whatever it is, it will take faith–because everything in this life requires faith. “For we walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7, NKJV).

To help you walk in God’s vision for your life, consider these 10 Scriptures To Build Your Faith for Your Vision. To help you further, we’ve also provided a confession at the end using these verses that you can pray and declare over your life.

  1. “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” (Proverbs 29:18, KJV).
  2. “Then, after doing all those things, I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions” (Joel 2:28).
  3. “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come” (Jeremiah 33:3).
  4. “Then the LORD said to me, ‘Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed'” (Habakkuk 2:2-3, NKJV).
  5. “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago” (Ephesians 2:10).
  6. “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (Philippians 1:6).
  7. ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope'” (Jeremiah 29:11).
  8. “We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
  9. “You can make many plans, but the LORD’s purpose will prevail” (Proverbs 19:21).
  10. “Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed” (Proverbs 16:3).

Father, You said that where there is no vision, the people perish, so I’m asking You to give me a vision for my life and confirm it with Your Word. You promised in these last days that You would pour out Your Spirit on me, that You would show me remarkable secrets about things to come. As You do, I commit to writing Your dreams and visions for my life. Thank You for planning so many things for my life so long ago. Thank You for completing everything that You’ve begun in my life, for every plan and every purpose for my future. Lord, Your plans and purposes will prevail in my life. Your plans will succeed. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

How many times a day do we prioritize and reprioritize what must be done? What can wait? And what matters most? So much of our lives are spent making decisions about what we can do today or tomorrow or postpone until next week, aren’t they? When it comes to looking even further ahead, we often make plans, block out time, and schedule months or years in advance for family visits, vacations or moves. Understandably, all of this is necessary if we want to manage our time, talents and treasure in the most productive and fruitful way.

But if we want to live where our natural and spiritual lives intersect–which really should be in every area of our lives–how are we to decide what really are the priorities–the nonnegotiables around which all our day-to-day decisions are to be made? Particularly if we want to live our lives on track, living in the will of God? The truth is, there’s no better place to look than the Word of God–because God’s Word reflects His priorities for each and every one of us.

Consider these 10 Scriptures Describing God’s Priorities for You.

1. The most important priority for us all is that we be born again.

“Jesus replied, ‘I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God'” (John 3:3).

2. The first step God wants us to take after making Jesus the Lord of our lives is to be baptized in water–just like Jesus was.

“Peter replied, ‘Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit'” (Acts 2:38).

3. The next step to walking in all that God has for us is to be baptized in the Holy Spirit.

“Once when he was eating with them, he commanded them, ‘Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you the gift he promised, as I told you before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit'” (Acts 1:4-5).

4. As we walk with God, He wants us to put Him and His Word first place in our lives.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” (Matthew 6:33).

5. Our journey as believers is to live by faith, and to please God with our faith.

“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).

6. God gave us the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us, so we’re to be led by His Spirit.

“For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God” (Romans 8:14).

7. We’re to communicate with God, connect with Him; and we do that by praying about everything.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done” (Philippians 4:6).

8. We’re to walk in love by loving God and loving one another.

“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’This is the first and greatest commandment.  A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself'” (Matthew 22:37-38).

9. We’re to repent, ask God for forgiveness, and be quick to forgive others.

“But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too” (Mark 11:25).

10. We’re to keep growing as long as we walk on this earth.

“Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love” (Ephesians 4:15-16).

God’s priorities are not limited to these 10 Scriptures Describing God’s Priorities for You, but they are a powerful start to walking with Him through every minute of every day.

This year is the year of more! Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God wants to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that is at work in us. Glory to God! And, according to the Word of the Lord shared through Kenneth Copeland for 2024, God wants us to see and receive more finances, more healing, more miracles, more outpourings, and more and more and more and more.

When Jesus walked the earth, He performed signs and wonders and miracles. There are 37 recorded for us in the New Testament. There is nothing too hard for him. Not your financial need. Not your need for healing. Or your need for a miracle. Jesus gave authority to the disciples to perform signs and wonders and miracles–and He gave us authority in the name of Jesus to do the same. That’s right, we have the power to pray, to lay hands on the sick and to see them recover. We have the power and privilege to petition God for our whatever we need and receive a positive heavenly response (John 16:23, AMPC).

What is it that you want more of in 2024? Write it down. Then pray (petition) God for it based on the promises in His Word, asking for it in the name of Jesus and then receiving it by faith. Start by saying, “I believe I receive.” Then continue to praise God as you wait for of your petition to manifest.

To help us receive all that God wants for us, we need to be continually building our faith. That enables us to receive by faith, which we do by hearing God’s Word continually (Romans 10:17). Consider the following 10 Scriptures to Help Build Your Faith in the Supernatural. Read them, meditate on them and allow the Holy Spirit to increase your capacity to see the supernatural to happen in your life in greater measure this year.

  1. “News about him [Jesus] spread as far as Syria, and people soon began bringing to him all who were sick. And whatever their sickness or disease, or if they were demon possessed or epileptic or paralyzed–he healed them all” (Matthew 4:24).
  2. “He rescues and saves his people; he performs miraculous signs and wonders in the heavens and on earth. He has rescued Daniel from the power of the lions” (Daniel 6:27).
  3. “Jesus called his twelve disciples together and gave them authority to cast out evil spirits and to heal every kind of disease and illness” (Matthew 10:1).
  4. “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:17-18, NKJV).
  5. “And the disciples went everywhere and preached, and the Lord worked through them, confirming what they said by many miraculous signs” (Mark 16:20).
  6. “A huge crowd kept following him wherever he went, because they saw his miraculous signs as he healed the sick” (John 6:2).
  7. “And God confirmed the message by giving signs and wonders and various miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit whenever he chose” (Acts 2:4).
  8. “A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders” (Acts 2:43).
  9. “Stretch out your hand with healing power; may miraculous signs and wonders be done through the name of your holy servant Jesus” (Acts 4:30).
  10. “But the apostles stayed there a long time, preaching boldly about the grace of the Lord. And the Lord proved their message was true by giving them power to do miraculous signs and wonders” (Acts 14:3).

Thanksgiving is so much more than an American holiday set aside for us to thank God for the abundance He’s given us–it’s a way of life God wants us to live. When we’re faced with the need for more in our lives, be it the salvation of our friends and loved ones, healing for ourselves or others, wholeness in our hearts and minds, the restoration of relationships, financial increase, or anything else provided for us in THE BLESSING, there’s an attitude of gratitude God wants us to have–yes, even in the midst of whatever we might be fighting the good fight of faith about.

First Thessalonians 5:16-18 tells us to give thanks in all things–not for all things–but in all things. “Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always); be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will]”(AMPC).

Have you ever just thrown your hands in the air and praised God in the midst of a battle? If you have, then you know how it changes you–and the atmosphere around you. It may take time before your circumstances change, but praise and thanksgiving begin a work in us. It changes our heart attitude; it changes our perspective; and it encourages our faith to keep believing, to not give up, and to stand as long as it takes to see the victory. You could say that it gives us victory on the inside now, while we continue to stand in faith for the victory we’re believing to see and experience. Giving thanks in all things changes us.

The very first day set aside for Thanksgiving was declared on Nov. 26, 1789, by President George Washington. More than a century later, Thanksgiving Day was established as a federal holiday by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in December 1941. What’s interesting is that when President Roosevelt established it as a national holiday to give thanks, there was plenty going on in the world that none of us would be thankful for. Great Britain was at war with Germany; Japan was running over China; and in the same month Roosevelt signed the resolution, Japan bombed Pearl Harbor and the United States joined WWII in the Pacific and Europe.

It could have seemed like the worse time in history to give thanks–but God sees things much differently than we typically do, doesn’t He? He says to give thanks in all things, no matter what the circumstances may be. Oftentimes this requires that we give thanks by faith, because giving thanks is not what we’re naturally inclined to do–but it is something we can learn to do. We can learn to develop a thankful heart; and out of that heart, we choose to live with an attitude of gratitude, quick to give thanks in all things at all times.

What are you facing today? Give God thanks in it–not for it–but in it. Give Him thanks for all that you can, for all that’s right, for all that He’s already given you in THE BLESSING. If this feels challenging for you, here are 10 Verses for Cultivating a Thankful Heart to help you develop an attitude of gratitude.

1. Psalm 28:7
“The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him” (ESV).

2. Psalm 100:4
“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name!” (AMPC).

3. Psalm 107:8-9
“Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (NIV).

4. 1 Chronicles 16:34
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever” (NIV).

5. Colossians 3:15
“Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful” (NIV).

6. Colossians 3:16
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (ESV).

7. Colossians 4:2
“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful” (NIV).

8. 2 Corinthians 9:11
“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God” (NIV).

9. 1 Timothy 4:4-5
“For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer” (NIV).

10. Philippians 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Kenneth Copeland recently described the Gospel of John–specifically, Chapters 13-17–as his favorite passage of scripture. He singled out these five chapters because they all take place in the context of a special dinner among close friends.

The occasion was the celebration of the Passover meal that the entire nation of Israel was commemorating one particularly historic night. For Jesus and His disciples–and us as believers–it was a covenant meal that would change heaven and earth forever.

Mary had just anointed Jesus (unknowingly, in preparation for His death) after which He made His famous “triumphal entry” into Jerusalem on a donkey (John 12).

Once Jesus and His disciples were alone–for what would be known as their Last Supper–He downloaded vital information and instructions to them. After their meal, they left for the Mount of Olives where they prayed, and Jesus was betrayed and arrested.

These events recounted by the Apostle John in chapters 13-17 had great significance and impact on our relationship with God. Yet, Brother Copeland warns that we are a generation of believers that seems to be losing touch with that significance and impact.

The Apostle Paul pressed his generation about the same issue when he wrote:

“You were…[alienated] from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who previously were far away [were made] near by the blood of Christ” (Ephesians 2:12-13, NASB).

These days, we can’t afford to live as “aliens” and “strangers” to all that Jesus’ blood has done for us. We need to know–and not forfeit out of ignorance–our covenant rights (2 Peter 1:3-4).

As Brother Copeland would say, “We need to be covenant-minded ALL the time!”

The following scriptures–one from each of the five chapters–highlights a particular facet of God’s covenant promises to us. Reading and meditating on these scriptures can help you become more covenant-minded, and more aware of God’s will for your life.

1. John 13: Love Like Jesus

“I give you now a new [covenant] commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you. For when you demonstrate the same love I have for you by loving one another, everyone will know that you’re my true followers.” -(verses 34-35, TPT)

2. John 14: Jesus Will Manifest Himself

“The person who has My commands [covenant] and keeps them is the one who [really] loves Me; and whoever [really] loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I [too] will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him. [I will let Myself be clearly seen by him and make Myself real to him.]” -(verse 21, AMPC)

3. John 15: Stay Connected to the Word

“I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing…. But if you remain in me and my words [covenant] remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” -(verses 5, 7)

4. John 16: Ask the Father Directly

“When that time comes you won’t need to ask me for anything, but instead you will go directly to the Father and ask him for anything you desire and he will give it to you, because of your [covenant] relationship with me…. You can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits!” -(verses 23-24, TPT)

5. John 17: Jesus Prays for You

“I ask not only for these disciples, but also for those [THAT’S YOU!] who will one day believe in me [my covenant] because of their message. I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognize that you sent me. For the very glory you have given to me I have given them.'” -(verses 20-22, TPT)

Interested in taking your covenant rights to a higher level?

Having God’s Word in your head and constantly coming out of your mouth will shut down the devil’s lies–keeping him from stealing your covenant promises (John 10:10)–and literally reprogram your soul to get in line with the new-creature-in-Christ you truly are!

Insider information–it can get you into a lot of trouble; it can also get you ahead in life.

You’ve probably heard stories how insider information made people rich but got them thrown in jail. They learned information about someone or something–maybe something about the stock market, government contracts or a corporate merger–then wrongly used that knowledge to their advantage.

The same can happen in our personal lives. Finding out the latest scoop on a neighbor, co-worker or church member–then spreading it around–can get you into a mess.

But how about those times when it’s good, even helpful and appropriate, to know the “goods” on a person or situation. Like…

“Which day care can I trust?”

“Where should we go for lunch?”

“What time should I leave for the airport?”

It’s that kind of valuable information that can give you an edge in life.

And what better source to go to for anything you need to know than God.

He sees everything–Hebrews 4:13.

He knows everything–1 John 3:20.

Did you know God’s sitting on a world of information right now, just waiting to pass it along to you, so you can have every advantage in life? (It’s true!)

You’ll often hear Kenneth Copeland say that God’s not trying to keep things from us. He’s trying to get things to us–like information and knowledge.

Genesis 6–God warned Noah of a flood.

Genesis 41–God prepared Joseph for abundance and famine.

Luke 5; Matthew 17; John 21–Jesus told His disciples where to fish.

But even more amazing is one of the time-tested, sure ways God has of downloading what’s in His head to yours.

Amos 3:7 (AMPC) says, “Surely the Lord God will do nothing without revealing His secret to His servants the prophets.”

Once when Israel was about to be attacked by three enemies at the same time, the king called a national day of prayer to get help from God (2 Chronicles 20). As a great gathering of people stood outside the Temple in Jerusalem praying and worshipping God, the Spirit came upon a man, and he began to prophesy, basically giving Israel a battle strategy. It sounded crazy–but it worked!

God often uses prophets to get valuable information into the hands of His people. And hopefully by now, you’ve come across the following prophecy God spoke to Brother Copeland concerning 2022:

2022 is the year of correction, direction, protection and perfection–in spirit, soul and body, in finances, churches and government.

In 2022, you WILL know what to do!

In 2022, it ALL belongs to you!

As encouraging as these words are, how can you be sure they will actually happen?

Check out these 5 action steps that will give you an advantage in life God’s way:

1. Expect God to speak.

Jesus was praying out loud in public one day, and God responded in an audible voice (John 12:28-30). Some of the people around Jesus heard it; others thought it was thunder.

Don’t get caught snoozing and miss out on what God’s saying. Expect to hear from Him.

2. Get used to God’s style.

We all have our way of saying things.

God likes speaking the end from the beginning, letting us know what’s coming down the road (Isaiah 46:10). It’s His way of letting us know He’s God.

Get used to God speaking to you from the future.

3. Know who’s really doing the talking.

Jesus once asked His disciples a question to see if they were on the same page, and they all had pretty good answers–but Peter’s was the best, to which Jesus replied:

“This was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven” (Matthew 16:17, NIV).

Recognize the real Source behind the words.

4. Get a second (or third) opinion.

“Two or three prophets should speak and the others should weigh carefully what is said” (1 Corinthians 14:29, NIV).

This comes from a principle and practice established by God: “On the [word] of two or three witnesses a matter shall be confirmed” (Deuteronomy 19:15, NASB).

5. Keep it in your face.

Romans 10:17 says that “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (NKJV).

We all have those things we highlight, #tag, bookmark, stick on the fridge; those habits that help motivate, prompt and focus us in the right direction. Do what it takes to keep God’s fresh word to you in your face–and thereby, you’ll be building your faith.

God’s all in when it comes to giving you every advantage possible. So, when He gives a word, heads-up or valuable piece of insider information–jump on it, act on it. Practice these 5 Steps To Gaining the Advantage God’s Way–and dare to trust Him to bring His Word to pass!

Scriptures About the Prophet

How To Respond to a Prophecy

God is talking to you, but are you hearing from Him?

He is speaking all the time. Yet, it’s up to believers to spend time with the Lord, read His Word and hear from Him. Why? He has some things to share with you that will change your life.

If you haven’t been hearing from God, it’s time to figure out why. There are several practical ways to understand what is blocking you from recognizing the voice of God. From the prayers you pray to the verses you read, have faith that when you turn up the volume on God’s voice, you also increase your ability to hear Him.

It is time to renew your mind and believe the Lord wants to talk to you every day. If we entertain too many different influences, thoughts and opinions, it can lead to confusion. In the midst of it all, you may feel uncertain that you’re hearing the one voice you long to hear most–the voice of God.

He talks to His children every day. By faith, we can listen to God and learn to hear His voice. We don’t have to go through life blindly making decisions or relying on our own abilities. We can listen to God clearly and consistently, and receive the power that comes with hearing from Him.

Pray About Hearing From God

Before reading and making note of these powerful scriptures, prepare your heart and welcome the Holy Spirit. Hearing from God takes an open heart and a ready spirit, so begin with a prayer for hearing God’s voice, praying in faith.

Lord, Your Word says that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. So, I draw near to You today. I seek Your face, Your truth and Your word for my life. I want to know You more, hear You more and obey You more.

Your Word says Your sheep know Your voice and we will not follow the voice of a stranger. Help me to understand Your voice and not be deceived by any other voice. Guard my heart from the influences of this world and the people around me. Help me not to be fooled by the devil and his lies, but to view all thoughts and decisions through the lens of truth.

As I seek to hear You today for instruction, correction and guidance, help me to confirm Your voice through Your Word. You said if I ask for wisdom, You will give it to me liberally. So, I am asking for wisdom in the Name of Jesus to hear You clearly and consistently today and every day.

Help me to be confident in knowing that I hear Your voice. I praise You and thank You for it, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

4. Isaiah 54:17: No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.

8. Psalm 23: The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him–not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life; and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.

9. Psalm 55:16-17: I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon will I utter my complaint and moan and sigh, and He will hear my voice.

12. Psalm 145:18-20: The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He also will hear their cry and will save them. The Lord preserves all those who love Him.

The Lord will protect him and keep him alive; he shall be called blessed in the land; and You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies.

16. Isaiah 25:4: For You have been a stronghold for the poor, a stronghold for the needy in his distress, a shelter from the storm, a shade from the heat; for the blast of the ruthless ones is like a rainstorm against a wall.

17. Psalm 37:39: The salvation of the [consistently] righteous is of the Lord; He is their Refuge and secure Stronghold in the time of trouble.

18. Psalm 91:15: He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.

21. Proverbs 11:8: The [uncompromisingly] righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked gets into it instead.

22. Proverbs 18:10: The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong.

23. Joel 2:32: Whoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered and saved.

24. Luke 10:19: Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.

25. Isaiah 45:1-2: Thus says the Lord…I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight].

As you read these 25 scriptures that promise you protection, meditate on them and pray over them that you will receive them as specifically directed at you–because they are! You don’t ever have to be afraid again–not of illness, poverty, personal harm or death. You are supernaturally protected!

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Malachi 3:10-12

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” Says the Lord of hosts; “and all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delightful land,” says the Lord of hosts.

Galatians 6:6-10

Let him who is taught the word share in all good things with him who teaches. Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.

Hebrews 7:19-22

For the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God. And inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for they have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: “The Lord has sworn and will not relent, ‘You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek'”),  by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant.

3 Steps to Taste the Goodness of God

Your thoughts shape the direction of your life, for better or worse. Toxic thoughts are patterns of thinking rooted in fear, worry, anger, shame, bitterness or unbelief. They may begin subtly, but when these toxic thoughts are permitted to fester, they influence your emotions, choices and even your physical health.

Research shows that ongoing stress and negative thinking affect the brain and body, contributing to exhaustion, poor focus, strained relationships and physical illness. This is why God places such a priority on renewing or clearing your mind.

Spiritually, toxic thoughts pull you away from peace and into confusion and defeat. What you repeatedly think about strengthens pathways in your mind and ultimately determines the condition of your heart.

The encouraging truth is that you have a choice.

Thoughts may enter your mind uninvited, but you decide which ones you will dwell on and which ones you will reject. Scripture teaches us to “take every thought captive” and to fix our minds on what is true, pure and praiseworthy. When you replace toxic thoughts with God’s truth–choosing faith over fear, forgiveness over bitterness, gratitude over complaint–you begin clearing your mind.

Filling your mind with healthy thoughts is not passive; it is purposeful. It happens as you meditate on the Word, speak life-giving truths, practice thanksgiving, and guard what you allow to influence you. As your thinking changes, your outlook changes. Peace replaces turmoil. Clarity replaces confusion. Hope replaces despair.

If you have not been intentional about guarding your thoughts, today is the day to begin. The following 28 verses will help you recognize toxic thoughts, renew your mind, and understand how to cultivate thoughts that lead to healing, strength and victory.

Start Clearing Your Mind and Stop All Toxic Thoughts

When you recognize that your thoughts truly matter, everything begins to change. As you renew your mind, you clear out patterns of fear, worry and anger. Then, you can replace them with power, love, and a sound mind. What once felt automatic becomes intentional. What once controlled you no longer has to.

Starting today, choose to be aware of what you allow to remain in your mind. Welcome thoughts that align with truth, faith and peace. Refuse the toxic thoughts rooted in fear or negativity. Take harmful thoughts captive and replace them with God’s promises.

As you consistently guard your mind and fix your thoughts on Him, you’ll notice a shift–not just in how you think, but in how you live. Your peace will deepen. Your confidence will grow. And your faith will rise to new levels as your mind becomes a place where truth and victory dwell.

No matter what you face during this holiday season, you can find encouragement through praise and thanksgiving by honoring God for His goodness and blessings. He is worthy of continual praise, but we must be intentional about offering thanksgiving to Him on a daily basis. Praise and thanksgiving also release POWER–power to overcome the devil, power to bring God on the scene, and power to see victory.

In the Bible, we see praise and thanksgiving opening prison doors (Acts 16:16), delivering God’s people from their enemies (2 Chronicles 20:25-30), and bringing God on the scene (Psalm 22:3).

Praise and thanksgiving even cause you to grow stronger. For example, Abraham “…grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God” (Romans 4:20, Amplified Bible, Classic Edition). As you praise God and speak of His marvelous works, your faith rises on the inside of you to receive His blessings.

This Thanksgiving, take time to stop and reflect on the goodness of God and meditate on His blessings and kindness to you. Use these 17 scriptures* for Thanksgiving Day as a conversation starter at the dinner table, to inspire your family to talk about the marvelous things God has done for you this year. The Power of Praise and Thanksgiving

How to Honor God This Thanksgiving

Envying, strife and divisions had reduced the early Corinthian Christians back to the natural, or carnal, state that they were in before they were born again. It had so stunted their spiritual growth that they couldn’t understand the things the Apostle Paul wanted to teach them.

Satan has sent the same spirit of division among us today. He knows that a house divided against itself will fall. He also knows if we all come together in the unity of our faith, we’ll arrive at the full stature of Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:13). So, he has assigned a spirit of division to operate in our personal lives, our church lives, our social lives and our family lives. His goal is the same as it was in Corinth: to bring envying, strife and division; and to stunt our spiritual growth.

But we don’t have to yield to that spirit. Don’t let Satan stop your spiritual growth by giving in to the spirit of division. Stand for unity in the Body of Christ. Do and say everything with a spirit of love. Believe the best of others, and pursue unity with your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Our unified power is something Satan can never touch.

Begin renewing your mind to the unity God desires for you to walk in by meditating on these 20 powerful scripture verses about unity:

2 Chronicles 30:12

“At the same time, God’s hand was on the people in the land of Judah, giving them all one heart to obey the orders of the king and his officials, who were following the word of the Lord.”

Psalm 133:1

“How wonderful and pleasant it is when brothers live together in harmony!”

Malachi 2:10

“Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God?”

Matthew 23:8

“Don’t let anyone call you ‘Rabbi,’ for you have only one teacher, and all of you are equal as brothers and sisters.

John 13:35

“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.”

John 17:23

“I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.”

Romans 12:4-5

“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other.”

Romans 12:16-18

“Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone.”

1 Corinthians 1:10

“I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.”

1 Corinthians 12:12-13

“The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.”

Galatians 3:26-28

“For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

Ephesians 1:10

“And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ–everything in heaven and on earth.”

Ephesians 1:14

“The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.”

Ephesians 4:3

“Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.”

Ephesians 4:11-13

“Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ.  This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:16

“He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.”

Proverbs 6:16-19

These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:  proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

John 14:21, 23-24

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him…. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

John 15:2-4

Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

John 15:5-8

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

John 17:15-20

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word.

Acts 20:32

Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me [Jesus].

Romans 6:1-6

Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

Romans 6:11-14 (NKJV)

Likewise you also, reckon yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall not have dominion over you.

Romans 6:15-16 (Moffatt)

Are we “to sin, because we live under grace, not under law”? Never! Do you not know you are servants of the master you obey, of the master to whom you yield yourselves obedient, whether it is Sin, whose service ends in death, or Obedience, whose service ends in righteousness?

Romans 6:15-18 (NKJV)

What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Romans 6:19, 22

I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness…. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.

Romans 8:6, 13-14

To be carnally minded [to think as the world thinks] is death; but to be spiritually minded [to think as God thinks] is life and peace…. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Romans 8:29

Whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Romans 12:1-2

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Romans 15:16

That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.

1 Corinthians 1:2

To them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their’s and our’s.

1 Corinthians 1:10

Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

1 Corinthians 1:30

But of him [God] are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.

1 Corinthians 3:1-3

I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ. I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NKJV)

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

1 Corinthians 6:13-20 (NIV-84)

The body, however, is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body. By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? Never! Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? For it is said, “The two will become one flesh.” But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit. Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but he who sins sexually sins against their own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

1 Corinthians 7:14

For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (NKJV)

Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

1 Corinthians 10:1-2, 4-11 (NKJV)

All our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea…. and all drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted. And do not become idolaters as were some of them…. Nor let us commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell; nor let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed by serpents; nor complain, as some of them also complained, and were destroyed by the destroyer. Now all these things happened to them as examples, and they were written for our admonition.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 10:21

Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord’s table, and of the table of devils.

1 Corinthians 15:33-34 (AMPC)

Do not be so deceived and misled! Evil companionships (communion, associations) corrupt and deprave good manners and morals and character. Awake…to sober sense and your right minds, and sin no more.

2 Corinthians 4:10

Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Galatians 2:20

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

Galatians 4:3-7

Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world: But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 4:19

My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.

Galatians 5:13, 16-18 (NIV-84)

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love…. Live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.

Galatians 5:19-25

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Galatians 6:1

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Galatians 6:7-8

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Ephesians 1:4 (AMPC)

[In His love] He [God] chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.

Ephesians 1:7 (AMPC)

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor.

Ephesians 2:19-21

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord.

Ephesians 4:11-15

He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints…for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro…nut speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ.

Ephesians 4:17-24 (NIV-84)

So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts. Having lost all sensitivity, they have given themselves over to sensuality so as to indulge in every kind of impurity, with a continual lust for more. You, however, did not come to know Christ that way. Surely you heard of him and were taught in him in accordance with the truth that is in Jesus. You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:25-28

Putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Neither give place to the devil. Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good.

Ephesians 4:29-32

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying…. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 5:1-7

Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; and walk in love…. But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

Ephesians 5:8-15 (Moffatt)

While once upon a time you were darkness, now in the Lord you are light; lead the life of those who are children of the light (for the fruit of light consists in all that is good and right and true), verifying what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless enterprises of darkness; rather expose them. One is indeed ashamed even to speak about what such men do in secret; still, whatever the light exposes becomes illuminated…. Thus it is said, “Wake up, O sleeper, and rise from the dead; so Christ will shine upon you.” Be strictly careful then about the life you lead; act like sensible men, not like thoughtless.

Ephesians 5:18 (NIV-84)

Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit.

Ephesians 5:21-24

Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

Ephesians 5:25-27

Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Colossians 1:10, 12-14, 21-23

Walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work…giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: in whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins…. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard.

Colossians 2:6

As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him.

Colossians 3:1-2 (AMPC)

If then you have been raised with Christ [to a new life, thus sharing His resurrection from the dead], aim at and seek the [rich, eternal treasures] that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.

Colossians 3:5-10

Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: in the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them. But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth. Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him.

Colossians 3:12

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.

1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

The Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: to the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.

1 Thessalonians 4:1-7

We beseech you, brethren, and exhort you…that as ye have received of us how ye ought to walk and to please God, so ye would abound more and more. For ye know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: that no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such…. For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.

1 Thessalonians 5:15

See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.

2 Thessalonians 2:13 (NIV-84)

Brothers loved by the Lord… from the beginning God chose you to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth.

1 Timothy 2:8

I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

1 Timothy 4:1-5 (NKJV)

Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron…commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

1 Timothy 4:14-16 (Wuest)

Do not keep on neglecting the spiritual enduement which is in you, which was given to you through prophecy in connection with the imposition of the hands of the body of elders. Be diligently attending to these things; be constantly engrossed in them, in order that your progress may be evident to all. Keep on paying careful attention to yourself and to the teaching. Constantly stay by them, for in doing this you will both save yourself and those who hear you [from the false doctrines of demons].

1 Timothy 6:11

Follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

2 Timothy 1:9 (AMPC)

[For it is He] Who delivered and saved us and called us with a calling in itself holy and leading to holiness [to a life of consecration, a vocation of holiness]; [He did it] not because of anything of merit that we have done, but because of and to further His own purpose and grace (unmerited favor) which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began [eternal ages ago].

2 Timothy 2:19-22

The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work. Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Hebrews 2:1-3

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him?

Hebrews 2:9, 11 (AMPC)

We are able to see Jesus…crowned with glory and honor because of His having suffered death, in order that by the grace (unmerited favor) of God [to us sinners] He might experience death for every individual person…. For both He Who sanctifies [making men holy] and those who are sanctified all have one [Father]. For this reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren.

Hebrews 2:18-3:1 (NIV-84)

Because he [Jesus] himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. Therefore, holy brothers, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest whom we confess.

Hebrews 3:14, 18

We are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end…. And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?

Hebrews 4:14-16

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Hebrews 5:7-9 (NIV-84)

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him.

Hebrews 5:12-6:1 (AMPC)

For even though by this time you ought to be teaching others, you actually need someone to teach you over again the very first principles of God’s Word. You have come to need milk, not solid food. For everyone who continues to feed on milk is obviously inexperienced and unskilled in the doctrine of righteousness (of conformity to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action), for he is a mere infant [not able to talk yet]! But solid food is for full-grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary either to divine or human law. Therefore let us go on and get past the elementary stage in the teachings and doctrine of Christ (the Messiah), advancing steadily toward the completeness and perfection that belong to spiritual maturity. Let us not again be laying the foundation of repentance and abandonment of dead works (dead formalism) and of the faith [by which you turned] to God.

Hebrews 7:19

For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hebrews 9:13-14

If the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Hebrews 9:24-26

For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us: nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; for then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

Hebrews 10:10, 14 (AMPC)

In accordance with this will [of God], we have been made holy (consecrated and sanctified) through the offering made once for all of the body of Jesus Christ (the Anointed One)…. For by a single offering He has forever completely cleansed and perfected those who are consecrated and made holy.

Hebrews 10:19-22 (NIV-84)

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

Hebrews 10:23-26

Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins.

Hebrews 12:1-2

Seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.

Hebrews 12:3-4

For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.

Hebrews 12:9-11 (NKJV)

We have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? For they indeed for a few days chastened [instructed, disciplined, educated, corrected, taught] us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

Hebrews 12:14-15

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

Hebrews 12:28

Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

Hebrews 13:12 (AMPC)

Jesus also suffered and died outside the [city’s] gate in order that He might purify and consecrate the people through [the shedding of] His own blood and set them apart as holy [for God].

Hebrews 13:20-21

Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ.

James 1:19-27

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

James 3:2 (AMPC)

For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things] he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.

James 3:13-16 (NIV-84)

Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

James 4:1-3

From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

James 4:4-8, 10

Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded….  Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

1 Peter 1:1-2 (AMPC)

Peter, an apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ, [writing] to the elect exiles of the dispersion scattered (sowed) abroad…who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts].

1 Peter 1:13-17 (AMPC)

Brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert),… [Live] as children of obedience [to God]; do not conform yourselves to the evil desires [that governed you] in your former ignorance [when you did not know the requirements of the Gospel]. But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living. For it is written, You shall be holy, for I am holy. And if you call upon Him as [your] Father Who judges each one impartially according to what he does, [then] you should conduct yourselves with true reverence.

1 Peter 1:18-19 (AMPC)

You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, but [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.

1 Peter 2:1-2

Laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.

1 Peter 2:5, 9 (NKJV)

You also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ…. You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.

1 Peter 2:11-12 (NIV-84)

Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God.

1 Peter 3:10-12 (NKJV)

He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.

1 Peter 3:15-18 (NKJV)

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit.

1 Peter 4:1 (AMPC)

So, since Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God].

1 Peter 4:7-8

But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer. And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

1 Peter 4:15-16

Let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters. Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

2 Peter: 1:3-4

His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 Peter 2:9

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations.

2 Peter 3:9-14

The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

1 John 2:1, 3, 6 (AMPC)

If anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father–[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every purpose, thought, and action]…. And this is how we may discern [daily, by experience] that we are coming to know Him…if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments)…. Whoever says he abides in Him ought [as a personal debt] to walk and conduct himself in the same way in which He walked and conducted Himself.

1 John 2:9-11

He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

1 John 2:15-17

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 John 2:20, 24, 28-29 (NKJV)

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things…. Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father…. Now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

1 John 3:1-3

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:18-22

My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth. And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:17-18, 21 (AMPC)

All wrongdoing is sin…. We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects him [Christ’s divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him]…. Little children, keep yourselves from idols (false gods)–[from anything and everything that would occupy the place in your heart due to God, from any sort of substitute for Him that would take first place in your life].

Revelation 22:10-11

He saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand. He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: that I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.”

57. Matthew 6:25-32

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life–whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.”

58. Matthew 6:33 (NKJV)

62. Genesis 12:2 (AMPC)

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].”

63. Zechariah 8:13

“Among the other nations, Judah and Israel became symbols of a cursed nation. But no longer! Now I will rescue you and make you both a symbol and a source of blessing.”

64. 1 Timothy 6:17-18

“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others.”

65. Psalm 37:21 (NIV)

68. Proverbs 11:25 (NIV-84)

“A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.”

69. Galatians 6:10 (KNOX)

70. 2 Corinthians 9:6-8

“Remember this–a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’ And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”

Learn how to take authority over your life with these 31 scriptures about the power of your words!
Words. Use them right and they’ll move mountains. Use them wrong and they can cause your entire life to go up in smoke.

Don’t ever underestimate the power of your words. The devil doesn’t. He works constantly to get you to turn them in a negative direction. He’ll fire darts of pain and sickness and discouragement at you just to get you to speak faithless words–words that will eventually send your life up in smoke. Don’t let him succeed!

Make no mistake, your words aren’t meaningless or powerless in your life. They have creative power, just as God demonstrated when He created the heavens and the earth with His words. Now, you have the authority to do the same thing here on earth.

Begin to take control of your life by getting control of your tongue. Refuse to speak anything other than the Word of God about your life or situation. Then, watch as everything you’ve been believing for begins to come to pass. Start today with these 31 scriptures about the power of your words:

25. Mark 11:23 NKJV

29. James 3:3-6 NLT
The tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.

30. James 3:10 NLT
And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!

31. 1 Peter 3:10 NLT
If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.

When you take control of your words, you take back your life! As long as your words are in line with the Word of God, satan can’t touch you. As you practice, don’t be discouraged if you miss it now and then. Just repent for anything wrong you’ve said and get right back on track. You will have what you say!

How to Walk in the Spirit

A Prayer to Walk in the Spirit

God delights in the prosperity of His children (Psalm 35:27). Did you know that? Do you believe it? If you are struggling to accept God’s provision, or if you doubt that God wants you to prosper in every area of life, then check out what His Word says about the subject:

  • 3 John 2: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (KJV).
  • Joshua 1:8: “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do” (NLT).
  • Psalm 1:1-3: “Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
  • Deuteronomy 8:18: “Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant he confirmed to your ancestors with an oath” (NLT).
  • Proverbs 13:22: “Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.”
  • Psalm 35:27: “Let them shout for joy and be glad, who favor my righteous cause, and let them say continually, ‘Let the Lord be magnified who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant” (NKJV).
  • Psalm 84:11: “For the Lord God is our sun and our shield. He gives us grace and glory. The Lord will withhold no good thing from those who do what is right” (NLT).
  • Proverbs 10:22: “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it” (NKJV).
  • Proverbs 13:21: “Trouble chases sinners, while blessings reward the righteous.”

Begin meditating on these verses. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal their truth to you and to show you how that truth applies to every area of your life. Then begin to confess them over yourself and over your family. Here’s an example:

Lord, I thank You that You want my family and me to prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper because we are Your children. We know that as we study, follow and obey Your Word, we will succeed in all we do. Each of us is like a tree planted along the riverbank, bearing good fruit each season. We know that You give us the power to be successful in all You’ve called us to do. We trust You when You promise to bring sinners’ wealth to us because we know that You receive pleasure when we, Your servants, prosper. We know that You won’t withhold any good thing from us and that Your blessing makes us, the righteous, rich. And we praise You for all You are doing in and through us!

Let us know how the Lord begins to work in your life as you begin meditating and confessing these scriptures. We want to celebrate with you!

Many Christians struggle to believe that God loves them. They have been raised in churches that promote the idea that God is angry or disappointed in them, that He’s holding a big celestial clipboard, checking off every time they fall short. Nothing could be further from the truth. First John 4:8 tells us that “God is love.” If you struggle to accept God’s love, here are three ways God proved His love to you:

  1. God Loved You Enough to Send Jesus

If you have children, you know how precious they are to you. You love them, and probably wouldn’t hesitate to lay down your life for them. It’s a somber thought, but if you’ve ever had a child struggling with some illness or painful experience, you’ve probably thought, I would take this pain if I could.

Well, God looked at us–His creation–and went one step beyond that. He said, “He (Jesus, My Child) will take this pain for you.” God sent His Son to die for you and every other person on earth. First John 4:9-10 explains it like this: “God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love–not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”

  1. God Loved You Enough to Make You Righteous

Often Christians believe that they are saved, but they struggle to accept that they have been made righteous. Even after their salvation, they continue to see themselves as ugly, putrid sinners. They completely miss the fact that Jesus paid the price so they could be made new, or put in “right-standing” with the Father. Before your salvation, you were a sinner, but today, “you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9).

  1. God Loved You Enough to Bring You Into THE BLESSING

God didn’t only save His people from death, He also saved them to life. No longer must you endure the enemy’s grasp. Sickness, lack, defeat, poverty–these are penalties visited upon humanity by Satan. God’s children have been freed from that system by Jesus’ sacrifice. Now, you have access to THE BLESSING as outlined in Deuteronomy 28:3-6: “Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.”

If you struggle to believe and live like God loves you completely and without reservation, begin to meditate on these truths. Study the Scriptures, so you can learn about the depth of God’s love and build your faith concerning it. Remember, you serve a mighty God, and He delights in you!

Chronic. Nagging. Debilitating. Those are the words often associated with pain. If you find yourself dealing with extreme pain and need encouragement, be sure to read Kenneth Copeland’s article, What Do You Do When the Pain Is Too Much? In it, Brother Copeland shares his own healing from excruciating pain and the connection he discovered between gratitude and overcoming pain. And as you apply that lesson to your life, stand on these five scriptures that can help you remain thankful in the midst of your pain as you stand for your healing.

  • Psalm 136:1: “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Psalm 18:2: “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”
  • Jeremiah 29:11: “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord. ‘They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'”
  • Philippians 4:13: “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
  • 1 Thessalonians 5:18: “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”

Don’t wait another day to begin thanking God for all the good things He has done for you…even in the midst of your pain. Let these scriptures serve as a starting point for your declarations of gratitude!

When trouble comes you need to stand strong. Whether it is a noisy neighbor, a frivolous lawsuit or a large bill, you need God’s perspective on your situation. Here are five scriptures to help you stand against trouble.

1. Psalm 91:1-3

“Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him. For he will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.” (Read this entire chapter).

2. Philippians 4:6

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.”

3. 1 Peter 5:7

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.”

4. John 16:33

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”

5. Nahum 1:7

“The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him.”

Yes, trouble happens, but you don’t have to be afraid of it. Trust in the Lord and His promises to you. He is with you and will help you through any trouble that comes your way!

The idea of trusting Jesus with your finances may be a new one. If so, the Word is the first stop in finding out what it really means to trust Jesus and surrender your financial decisions to Him and His ways. Here are six scriptures from the New Living Translation to get you started:

1. You Can Trust Jesus with All Areas of Your Life–Including Finances

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:4-5).

2. God Will Take Care of You and Your Finances

So don’t worry about these things, saying, “What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?” These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need (Matthew 6:31-33).

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment (1 Timothy 6:17).

3. When You Trust and Obey Him with Your Finances

If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed [Deuteronomy 28:1-6 (Read the entire chapter.)].

And now that you belong to Christ, you are the true children of Abraham. You are his heirs, and God’s promise to Abraham belongs to you (Galatians 3:29).

4. A Promise to Stand on for Your Prosperity

That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).

Jesus wants to be as involved with your financial life as He is with your spiritual. Let these scriptures be a starting point for deeper study into God’s Word. As you discover God’s heart and love for you, may you trust Him with every area of life–even your finances.
