Are you ready to commit to Faith Habits for the New Year: Spirit, Soul and Body? The New Year is a great time to reset and refocus. Many people make goals for their health, schedule or routines. As a believer, you have a better way. You can build faith habits that help you grow in every area of life. However, instead of relying merely on yourself, bring the Holy Spirit on the scene to help you become strong in faith.
When you do the work to strengthen your spirit, soul and body, you position yourself for the victories God has already planned for you. It does not have to be complicated. Explore these simple steps to start the New Year with purpose and power.
Spirit: Exercise Your Faith Daily
When considering spirit, soul and body, it’s your spirit that is the core of your being. When you became a believer, your spirit came alive with the presence of the Holy Spirit. The way to exercise your spirit is to spend time with the Lord. Romans 10:17 tells us, “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.” When you read God’s Word with receptive eyes and ears, the Holy Spirit will teach you things you haven’t seen before. Do this exercise consistently to open your spirit, and you will find your faith becoming strong and unwavering.
Just like your physical muscles need exercise to perform at their full potential, your spirit learns to be attuned to the voice of God. As you do, your faith will grow. When you combine strong faith with your words that align with the Word of God, you will be positioned to walk in victory. Just like an athlete trains every day, make a daily faith exercise plan. Set aside time to pray, worship and read Scripture. Even just 10 focused minutes a day can strengthen your spirit. As you do this, your spiritual ear will be tuned to hear correction and direction from the Lord. Receive it with joy and a ready heart. This will cause your faith muscles to continue to grow.
Soul: Renew Your Mind, Will and Emotions
Your soul includes your thoughts, choices and feelings. God wants all three to agree with His Word. Paul wrote, “We have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). And Philippians 2:13 says, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” When you choose to think God’s thoughts, your words will change to agree with His words. This will strengthen your inner resolve to live a life of victory and create faith habits.
Third John 1:2 emphasizes the importance of strengthening your soul, “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers” (NKJV). A helpful faith habit for the soul is speaking the Word over yourself. Say, “My mind is clear. I hear God’s voice. I walk in peace.” When unhealthy emotions rise, pause and picture how Jesus would respond. That simple shift can turn frustration into patience and worry into trust. This faith habit will change your soul to reflect His character.
Body: Build Healthy Routines
Your body is the house you live in on the earth. Caring for your body honors God. First Corinthians 6:19 reminds you that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and needs to be healthy.
Physical exercise is a way to develop the “you” you want to see in the mirror. A steady exercise plan, even something as simple as walking daily, will build strength and energy to succeed in what God has called you to do. Choose a simple, healthy eating pattern you can maintain. Drink more water. Plan meals that give you energy. A healthy body supports a healthy spirit and soul. When all three parts work together, you can live with greater focus and joy.
As the New Year begins, remember this: sustainable growth happens a little at a time. Small daily actions build strong faith habits that shape your spirit, renew your soul and strengthen your body. When you commit to living this way, you step into the year ready for God’s best. He is faithful, and He will lead you to victory in every part of your life.
It’s Christmas–a season bright with decorations, gifts and joyful celebration. Yet beneath all the beauty and excitement lies a truth far greater than anything wrapped beneath a tree: God’s Gift to you began with a baby. Long before the world celebrated Christmas, heaven revealed the most extraordinary act of love. God’s most precious Christmas Gift did not arrive in fine packaging, but in swaddling clothes, resting in a manger in Bethlehem.
From the beginning, God’s plan for Redemption was already set in motion. He knew mankind would fall, and He prepared the answer–a perfect, sinless Redeemer who would restore the fellowship lost in the Garden. That Redeemer entered the world as an infant. Jesus, the Son of God, was divinely qualified to fulfill every detail of God’s plan, so that through His finished work on the cross, humanity could once again walk in relationship with a loving Father.
That is why God’s Son had to be born into the earth. God’s Gift–Jesus–was given to every person, in every generation.
The Real First Day of Christmas
Jesus arrived perfect, untouched by the sin nature that marked every descendant of Adam. Born of the Holy Spirit, He carried a divine nature–the very nature He came to give us. On a quiet night in Bethlehem, heaven stepped into time. The virgin birth announced that this Child was unlike any other, because He came directly from God Himself.
The angel declared that Jesus was “the free gift of God” who brings “eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Hidden in that humble manger was the seed for the entire harvest of Redemption. Just as a seed holds within it everything necessary for a future harvest, Jesus carried the power to restore all humanity.
Everything God had promised across generations pointed to this moment. The long-awaited Messiah had come–not only to reveal God’s heart, but to reconnect mankind to His life.
As Jesus grew, His life made His purpose unmistakable. Scripture tells us He traveled from village to village, preaching, teaching and healing (see Matthew 4:23, NKJV). His words carried authority unlike anything people had ever heard. The crowds marveled, saying, “No man ever spoke like this Man!” (John 7:46, NKJV). He unveiled a Father who loved deeply, reached willingly and lifted people from death into life. Through Jesus, the world saw a God who desired closeness, not distance.
A Christmas Gift Unwrapped
Yet Jesus’ compassionate ministry was only part of His mission. The Cross stood at the center of God’s plan. Redemption required a sinless sacrifice, and Jesus alone qualified. “God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so we could be made right with God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
His sinless birth made His sin-bearing death possible. He carried every wrong, every failure and every burden. As Kenneth Copeland teaches, Jesus didn’t only die–He went into the depths of hell itself, taking the full penalty of sin so that you and I could walk free.
Then came the greatest display of God’s power the world will ever witness: Jesus rose again–alive forever and victorious. When you receive what Jesus has done, your spirit is instantly reborn. Fellowship with God is restored. The barrier of sin is removed, and you step into His family, His favor and His life.
This is why we celebrate Christmas. It marks the beginning of God’s Gift in the earth and the unveiling of God’s plan of Redemption. Your Christmas Gift from heaven–Jesus Himself–contains salvation, freedom and eternal life.
As you rejoice this season, remember: God’s Gift to You Started With a Baby, but it didn’t end there. John 3:16 reminds us, “For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son.” That Gift is still transforming lives today–and it has the power to transform yours.
Do you have more to do than time to do it? Is your patience wearing thin as you try to navigate through schedules, timelines and last-minute projects? Take the time needed to let the fruit of the spirit shine through you this Christmas season.
Paul reminds us that “the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. There is no law against these things!” (Galatians 5:22-23).
These are good qualities for everyone; and you, as a believer in Jesus Christ, are ahead because those fruits are already alive in you. Work with the Holy Spirit and determine to remain in His rest. Relax in the Lord and let the fruit of the spirit shine through you this Christmas, blessing your home and everyone around you.
Let Love Lead Your Interactions
Gloria Copeland teaches that each fruit is a “supernatural force” given to believers so they can overcome the pressures of life. Love is the foundation of every other fruit. At Christmastime, love may show itself as patience with long lines, kindness toward a rude stranger, or compassion for someone hurting during the holidays. We are told to “live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ” (Ephesians 5:2).
Comforting love can be like a warm fire on a cold day–everyone who gets near you can feel its warmth. When you choose words of love, a fruit of the spirit, and grace rather than expressing your frustration, you’re letting God’s love shine. Let the fruit of love shine through you this Christmas season.
Application:
Pray each morning: “Lord, my life is full of Your love, following the example of Christ. I open my heart to let Your love flow through me today.”
Look for one person each day you can bless–through a call, a gift or a prayer.
Let Joy Overflow, Regardless of Circumstances
Joy isn’t the result of perfect circumstances; joy is the result of God’s presence within you no matter the circumstance. “The joy of the LORD is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10). Gloria Copeland says that joy is a supernatural expression of God’s character, empowering believers to rise above discouragement. And that fruit of the spirit is precisely what we need this Christmas season!
Joy is contagious, so share yours with others in your smile, your demeanor and your words of hope. Let the fruit of joy shine through you this Christmas season.
Application:
Begin your day by thanking God for three blessings. Gratitude will stir the joy within you.
Turn your thoughts to the joy of knowing who you are in Christ Jesus, and depend on His unshakable promises.
Choose praise over complaining. Listen to worship music while wrapping gifts or driving.
Let Peace Guard Your Heart and Home
The season can bring pressure, but peace, another fruit of the spirit, is an inherent part of your spiritual nature. “Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7). The fruit of peace flows from the Holy Spirit and helps you stand steady when things around you feel chaotic.
Peace is like a thermostat–not a thermometer. Instead of reflecting the stress of your environment, you set the atmosphere all around you by keeping your heart anchored in God’s Word. Let the fruit of peace shine this Christmas season.
Application:
Schedule quiet moments with the Lord to breathe, even if just five minutes.
When stress rises, speak peace aloud: “Lord, I receive Your peace right now.”
Walk In Patience, Kindness and Self-Control
Gloria Copeland writes that every fruit of the spirit empowers believers to overcome temptation and pressure. “Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives” (Galatians 5:25). The Christmas season provides countless opportunities to practice patience, kindness and self-control–whether waiting in traffic or responding to family challenges. These fruit are yours to apply to every situation you may face.
Picture the fruit of the spirit like ornaments on a Christmas tree. As you yield to the Holy Spirit, these qualities decorate your life with the beauty of Jesus.
Application:
Pause before responding–give the Holy Spirit space to lead your attitude and conversation.
Let kindness become your “default setting” everywhere you go.
Conclusion: Shine the Light of Jesus This Christmas
Let the fruit of the spirit shine through you this Christmas season. When you choose love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control, you reveal Jesus to your family, friends, co-workers and even strangers. With the fruit of the spirit operating in your life, you can live a strong, steady, overcoming life. In addition, you will see God use your life to bring His joy and peace to everyone around you.
The Christmas season is filled with joy, lights and celebration–but also noise, pressure and distraction. Amid the hustle of decorating, shopping, cooking and gathering, it’s easy to get swept up in the flesh: impatience, comparison, stress or even spiritual apathy.
Yet this season, more than any other, is a perfect time to walk in the spirit.
After all, we’re celebrating the birth of Jesus, who came to dwell among us and lead us into a higher way of living. As we reflect on that holy night in Bethlehem, we’re reminded that the Spirit of God didn’t just come for a moment–He came to dwell in us forever.
The Spirit is in you right now–ready to guide you through every choice, conversation and moment this Christmas season. Learn how to walk in the spirit this Christmas and experience peace, joy and spiritual clarity as you celebrate Christ.
Walk in the Spirit by Throwing Off Holiday Hindrances
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” (Hebrews 12:1, NIV)
This verse doesn’t tell us to consider letting go of hindrances gently–it says to throw them off. Just like you’d rip off a backpack that’s dragging you underwater. You don’t ease it off–you tear it away because your life depends on it. There are things in your life that need to be removed now to walk in the spirit fully.
During the holidays, hindrances may come disguised as tradition, family traditions, a calendar full of obligations, or even “excellence.” But if anything is stealing your peace, clouding your spiritual focus, or distracting you from the joy of Christ, it’s a hindrance. The enemy wants to wrap your spirit in layers of busyness and stress–but you can choose to throw them off.
What kinds of things are hindrances?
Anything that takes you out of line with God’s Word. For example, “excellence” is definitely part of God’s plan, but a spirit of perfectionism (excellence run amok) takes the joy out of planning, gift-giving and even decorations, when it’s out of control. Other examples would be:
Unforgiveness during family gatherings
Over-emphasis on the material side, spending too much money
Comparing your life to others’ holiday highlight reels
Letting frustration about the holiday meal or the stress of shopping take the lead
How do you throw them off?
“We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus” (Hebrews 12:2)
This Christmas, let the Nativity scene remind you where your focus belongs–on Jesus, not the chaos around you. Make room in your heart the same way Mary and Joseph made room in the stable. Choose peace. Choose to spend time in the presence of God.
The Holy Spirit is here to guide you. He’ll show you what to let go of–and give you the strength to do it. Just ask Him, “Holy Spirit, what am I holding onto this season that’s hindering me from walking with You?” Pursue the peace that comes from the Holy Spirit. As things come up during the Holidays, be sensitive to stressors and bring them to the Lord quickly.
Walk in the Spirit by Sowing to the Spirit
“He who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.” (Galatians 6:8, NKJV)
Christmas is often a season of sowing–sowing gifts, generosity and time into others. But to truly walk in the spirit, we must also sow into our own spiritual life. The most meaningful gift you can give this season is your attention and time to the Lord.
How do you sow to the spirit?
When you recognize that God your Father wants to spend time with you, the spiritual disciplines of spending time in His Word, worship, prayer and thanksgiving fall into place. Even during the busiest days of December, sowing just 15 minutes of quiet time with the Lord can bring clarity and calm.
You might wake up early before the household stirs or reflect on Scripture by the glow of your Christmas tree. Whatever it looks like, remember: When you sow to the spirit, you’re planting seeds of peace, strength and revelation in your own life.
This season, let the rhythm of giving remind you to give back to God–your firstfruits of time and focus. You’ll find that as you do, the Spirit becomes louder than the world around you.
Walk in the Spirit by Presenting Your Body as a Living Sacrifice
“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:1-2, NKJV)
The Christmas season can tempt us to conform–to spend more, eat more, do more. But walking in the spirit during the holidays means remembering that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit.
Instead of giving in to every indulgence or cultural pressure, present your body as a living sacrifice. That may mean setting boundaries, protecting rest, or even pausing before you say yes to one more event.
Start each day with this simple prayer:
“Lord, I give You my body, my thoughts, and my schedule today. Help me glorify You in every choice. Let me be a vessel of peace and joy to others this season.”
Jesus gave His life for us. This Christmas, may we give ours back to Him–moment by moment, decision by decision.
Walk in the Spirit by Praying in the Spirit Daily
“For we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication.” (Romans 8:26, AMPC)
If ever there was a time to lean into prayer, it’s during the holidays. Emotions run high, schedules get tight, and needs feel greater. But praying in the spirit anchors your soul and connects you to God’s wisdom and strength.
As you pray in the spirit each day, ask the Lord to prepare your heart for divine encounters: with family, with strangers, with those who are hurting. Christmas is a powerful time to be spiritually sensitive; you never know when your obedience or encouragement will be someone else’s miracle.
Try setting aside time to pray in the spirit while wrapping gifts or listening to Christmas music. Let it become part of your rhythm. The more you do, the more you’ll feel heaven’s peace flood your heart.
Walk in the Spirit by Obeying the Promptings of the Holy Spirit
“The sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” (John 10:4, ESV)
The Holy Spirit is speaking to you even now, especially during this holy season. Whether it’s a gentle nudge to check in on someone, a whisper to forgive, or an urge to pause and pray, these promptings are invitations into divine alignment.
You may be prompted to give a gift anonymously, say a kind word, or share your faith with someone searching for meaning this Christmas. Don’t wait for perfect conditions. Just obey. Those small acts can become sacred encounters.
Let this be your daily confession: “I hear the voice of the Good Shepherd, and a stranger’s voice I will not follow.”
When you live in tune with the Spirit, every car ride, errand, or gathering can become an opportunity to bring the presence of Christ into someone’s life.
This Christmas, let walking in the spirit be your greatest gift–to God, to others and to yourself. As you throw off hindrances, sow into your spirit, present your life to God, pray daily, and obey His promptings, you will live the peace-filled, Spirit-led life Jesus came to bring.
May His presence be your guiding light this Christmas and always.
How do you slow down and take a breath when everyone and everything around you are screaming, “Hurry!” Christmas is meant to be a season of joy, peace and celebration of our Savior.
Yet many people often find themselves facing Christmas stress from many directions: financial pressures, an overwhelming calendar, family tensions, the weight of unrealistic expectations, or a desire to make everything “perfect.”
If you’ve ever felt that holiday pressure building, you’re not alone. The good news is this: God has given you everything you need to overcome and enjoy this Christmas with His supernatural peace. “The peace I give is a gift the world cannot give” (John 14:27).
Here are three practical, faith-filled suggestions to overcome Christmas stress during the holidays and walk in the peace of God, no matter what comes your way.
Guard Your Peace Through God’s Word and Prayer
As Christmas activities speed up, quiet time with the Lord is often the first thing pushed aside. Yet His Word is the very place where peace is restored, even during the holidays.
Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Think of it like this: The more crowded your schedule becomes, the more intentional you must be about entering God’s presence. Just ten minutes of speaking His promises and making your requests known to Him can defuse upcoming Christmas stress and reset your entire day.
Imagine trying to drive during a heavy snowfall without clearing your windshield. You have the vehicle to get where you need to go, but a lack of sight blocks your way. Stress does the same thing to your heart–it blocks your vision. But God’s Word works as a spiritual windshield wiper–wiping your spirit clean so you can see clearly again and move forward.
Try these suggestions to guard yourself from stress:
Start each morning with one scripture and one confession about the peace of God.
Pray Philippians 4:6-7 out loud whenever anxious thoughts show up.
Listen to worship music while wrapping gifts or preparing meals.
Stay in Love Especially When Christmas Stress Fuels Unwanted Emotions
Holiday gatherings can stir up old conversations, conflicting opinions and family dynamics, and provide opportunities for increased Christmas stress. But God calls us to walk in love even when the atmosphere feels tense. “Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony”(Colossians 3:14).
A Christmas tree looks best when every light is connected and shining. In some light strands, a single broken bulb can cause the entire strand to be without power. In others, the broken bulb is left standing while the others shine, but it affects the beauty of the tree. In the same way, love keeps the power of God flowing in your home.
Try these suggestions to safeguard your emotions during the holidays:
Decide ahead of time to forgive quickly and overlook minor offenses.
Instead of reacting emotionally, choose to speak words that build one another up.
If a stressful situation arises, step aside for 30 seconds and pray, “Lord, help me see as You see and walk in love.”
Release Every Burden to the Lord and Expect His Help
Christmas stress often comes in the form of financial strain, long to-do lists and the pressure to make everything “perfect.” But perfection is not your assignment–obedience and trust are. God’s Word says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you”(1 Peter 5:7). As you find yourself battling stress during the holidays, call on the Lord. He is ready and willing to help you.
Try these ways to release every problem to the Lord:
Write down what is weighing on you and pray over each item.
Simplify where you can–peace is more valuable than perfection.
Expect God’s favor in your planning, finances and relationships.
Prayer for a Peace-Filled Christmas
Anxiety during the holidays does not have to have a hold on you. The peace of God, His Love and His strength have already been given so you can overcome every challenge. As you stay in the Word, walk in love and give every burden to Him, this Christmas will become a testimony of His goodness. And you’ll step into the new year refreshed, restored, and anchored in His peace–exactly as He promised.
Use this prayer to overcome Christmas stress and experience the peace of God:
Father, in the Name of Jesus, I thank You for Your peace that guards my heart and mind. I cast every care of this Christmas season onto You, knowing You care for me deeply. Lord, help me walk in love, patience and joy in every situation. Strengthen me to choose the peace of God over pressure, faith over fear and wisdom over worry.
I receive Your grace to handle every responsibility with ease and every relationship with compassion. Holy Spirit, guide my conversations, decisions and plans. Let this Christmas be filled with Your presence and Your blessings, and may Your joy overflow in my home. I praise You that I can defeat everything that tries to cause me Christmas stress by the power of Your Word. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Drawing near to God is the heart’s desire of most Christians. In fact, God’s Word instructs us to draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith (Hebrews 10:22, ESV).
Yet, with work, raising kids, running errands and paying bills, even having a quiet time can feel like a challenge. So, how can you draw near to God on a daily basis? Here are three simple ways to draw near and develop the relationship with Him you’ve always wanted. Check them out!
1. Thank God Daily
When we thank someone in the natural, we think of it as a nice and polite thing to do. But that’s not all it is when it comes to God. It’s so much more than that–it’s POWER. Why? Because God says He inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). What does that mean? It means that when you praise Him, His presence descends upon you, overtakes your circumstances, and anoints you with revelation and supernatural wisdom. Glory to God! It’s a power we need in our lives.
And this is something you can easily work into your daily routine. You can praise and thank God in the shower, in your car and while you’re combing your hair. You can thank Him when you wake up and when you go to bed. Praise is more than a prayer or a formality–it’s a lifestyle.
Here are a few ways that thanking God each day will change your life and help you draw near to Him:
It brings God on the scene.
It puts your challenges into perspective.
It focuses your mind on the Word instead of the world.
It strengthens your faith.
Praise and thanksgiving are weapons against the enemy. That’s why the devil tries to keep you feeling down, complaining, and full of self-pity. All those things weaken your joy and your faith–which is your strength. Want to shut the enemy down? Draw near to God and start praising and thanking Him.
2. Read God’s Word
You’ve probably heard this scripture before: “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path” (Psalm 119:105). But hearing something again and again is what opens your heart to additional understanding and draws you nearer to God. You are going to hear powerful men and women of God repeat Scripture again and again –because it’s importance cannot be overstated.
God’s Word works.
Do you need healing in your body? The answer is the Word. Do you need a miracle in your finances? The answer is the Word. Do you need a relationship restored? The answer is the Word. And…Iit’s how you draw near to God. He is the Word and the Word is God. If you want to know Him–really know Him–you will find out everything you want to know in His Word.
You cannot draw near to God without spending time in His Word. It’s a living document–and it was written personally for you. In fact, you will see revelation pop out of the pages that seem to be directed at you and exactly what you’re going through in the moment! That’s how you begin to feel close to God–drawing near to Him through the power of His Word.
3. Obey Him and Draw Near to God
Obedience is no small thing. In fact, God is straight to the point in this verse: If you love Him, you’ll obey Him (John 14:15). When you desire to draw near to God, you will begin to have a deep desire to obey Him in all things–not just those you find convenient. You’ll dig into the Word and when you see an area where you’re missing it, you’ll want it fix it fast.
When you begin to walk in total obedience to God and His Word, you will begin to see circumstances change in your life. Things you’ve been desiring for, hoping for and praying for will come to pass.
Don’t turn your blinders on–be sure you have eyes to see, ears to hear and a heart that receives correction and moves quickly into obedience. It may not be something big in your eyes, but the smallest areas of disobedience can often be the ones that hold you back the most.
So draw near to God by obeying Him daily. Listen for His still, small voice and obey the instructions He gives in His Word, and in your inner witness. You’ll move to higher levels of faith in God!
When you make a daily habit of thanking God, reading His Word and obeying Him, you will be well on your way to drawing nearer to God and achieving new levels of victory in your life. He is calling you today to draw near. Will you answer?
Do you need a miracle? Maybe you’re at the end of yourself in your finances with no way out. Or, perhaps, you’ve tried every doctor, medicine, supplement and diet you can get your hands on, and you’re still sick and needing healing in your body. What about your family? Is that where you need a miracle–with your marriage or your kids?
A miracle is something that is impossible by man’s hand. It is the manifestation of God’s power that makes a miracle possible. Whatever your need today–God is in the miracle business, and He has a miracle in mind for YOU. He loves you. He doesn’t want you sick, broke or without something you desire in your life. He’s always ready to do a miracle. Always.
So, why don’t miracles just happen?
Faith is what opens the flow of signs, miracles and wonders. Real faith has an expectancy. So, as faith rises, the flow of the Holy Spirit gets stronger, and miracles will flow more and more. But when people stop expecting, the flow of miracles dry up. That’s why we don’t see as many miracles in the Church–people aren’t expecting to see them.
But we were created for the realm of the miraculous. When people say, “That’s going to take a miracle”–that’s our realm. That’s God’s natural operation.
It isn’t that God sometimes decides to do miracles and sometimes He doesn’t. No. He is always ready to do a miracle. Sometimes people are perceptive, and sometimes they’re not. Sometimes the faith is flowing, and sometimes it’s not.
If you need a miracle in your life, it’s waiting for you. You don’t have to turn the Holy Spirit off and on–He’s always in you, and He’s always on! There is a constant, unlimited, unceasing flow from the throne of God. Keith Moore shares a good reminder of how to receive a miracle.
1. You must hear from God.
This is the most important step, and one that many people try to skip. Then, they wonder why they don’t see a manifestation in their lives. This cannot be overstated: You cannot rush past this step–you must hear from God.
That’s why you can tarry and tarry and not receive your miracle. When you seek Him about your situation, and if you’re really in faith, you’ll hear from Him. He is faithful.
You can hear from Him through the Word of God or by the Spirit of God speaking to your spirit. But you have to listen and believe. When you need healing, you can know that it is God’s will for you because it is in the Word of God. Jesus paid a lot for you to be healed. Think about it. He didn’t have to go to the whipping post to go to the Cross. But He did so that “by His stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5, NKJV).
Keith Moore said this, “Every time the scourge hit Him, something spiritual happened because every disease and malady was laid on Him. He was hit with the cause and source of that disease. He took it all. That’s why you don’t even have to get the right diagnosis before you can be healed because you already know He personally took the source of every disease.”
So, healing is in the Word of God, and you can know that it is His will to perform a healing miracle in your body, but you still need to hear personally from Him about your specific situation.
Whether it is revelation from the Word of God or a direct speaking to your spirit, wait until you hear from Him. This is the critical first step to receiving your miracle.
There is no substitute to hearing from Him personally.
2. Do whatever God told you to do when you heard from Him.
When you hear from the Lord, He will give you an instruction–something He wants you to do to receive your miracle. That is always how God has worked.
Think about the timing of when miracles manifested in the Bible. Jesus gave instructions and when they were acted upon, the miracle occurred. When Jesus healed the man with leprosy, He said, “Stretch out your hand” (Matthew 12:13, NKJV). When did the miracle happen exactly? When the man stretched out his hand. “Go, wash in the pool” (John 9:7). “Fill the jars with water” (John 2:7). “Pick up your mat, and walk” (John 5:8). Instruction always preceded a miracle.
In his teaching, Keith Moore explains why instruction always preceded a miracle. He said, “God in His graciousness has allowed us to be a partner in the working of miracles.”
But you have to be listening, seeking and expecting to hear from Him. Then, act on what He says. You won’t see a miracle if you’re lying on the couch and making confessions if He told you to get up! If He says straighten your leg, do it. If He tells you to run across the room, do it. If He tells you to sow a seed, do it. Whatever He told you to do when you heard from Him, the next step is to act on it.
Now, don’t try to work something up in your mind to do. If you haven’t heard from Him yet, wait! You will. Then, when you hear from Him, do it!
3. He does it.
You don’t even have to do anything in this step except receive! When you do your part–the first two steps–God does His part–the manifestation.
Every miracle comes by the same process, whether it be healing, finances or relationships. God still manifests the working of miracles today. He never changes. Men get cold, stop believing and lose access to the miracles. But as soon as people start believing, miracles come again.
The key with every step is expecting. Are you expecting miracles? Build your faith in the Word of God, start expecting, then follow these three steps to a miracle and prepare to see your healing manifest!
Is it possible to stay thankful in all circumstances? God’s Word says, “In everything give thanks. This is what God wants you to do because of Christ Jesus” (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Is God saying you are to be thankful for everything–the good and the bad? That doesn’t sound right.
No, it’s not right. We are to be thankful for everything good. But in the bad, your thankfulness is based on God’s promise to deliver you from tough times.
God wants your life to be good and fulfilling. “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them” (Romans 8:28)
You have two ways to look at your current circumstances. Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble” (John 16:33), so we know that suffering and hardships are part of living on the earth, and you can focus on them. But God did not leave us without a path to victory.
The other way to look at circumstances is to be thankful and see things through the powerful love of God who promises to rescue you and keep you safe.
How can you stay thankful when everything seems to be going the wrong way? You can do what David did. His wives, children and all his stuff plus everything belonging to his men had been captured by the enemy. Things were looking bad! David’s men were so grief-stricken they were planning to kill David.
The Bible says that rather than falling into depression or fear, David encouraged himself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). David knew Almighty God was his Source. In the middle of that tough time, maybe David remembered with thanksgiving all the times he was a shepherd and God helped him defeat the lion and the bear. And he could have thanked God for delivering him and the whole nation from Goliath and the Philistines. David lived in the protection of the Lord.
David knew the secret. He went to God expecting an answer that would help him and his men.
How can you do this? Here is a plan, based on biblical principles, to help you stay thankful in all circumstances.
1. Feed on Being Thankful To God
You are what you eat. That rings true for both the physical and the spirit man. If you eat junk food, it will show in the way you look, feel and sleep. The same is true of spiritual food. If you feed your spirit man negative news, opinions on social media, and secular books and movies more than you do good spiritual food, it will begin to show in your outlook on life and your overall success in your finances, relationships and health. That’s why the Bible tells us to guard our hearts (Proverbs 4:23-27).
If you want to remain thankful, the Word of God is your lifeline. More Word equals more faith, more victory and a much more positive outlook! If you reduce your intake of negative information and opinions, and up your intake of the Word of God through reading His Word, listening to faith teachings, and listening to worship, you’ll encourage yourself in the Lord and find thanksgiving welling up inside you.
2. Speak Words of Thanksgiving
The words you speak have power. Whether you know it or not, there is no such thing as meaningless words. When you say something–you’re training yourself to believe it! And you set spiritual law–good or bad–in motion. That’s why the Bible tells you that your words are containers that will release either death or life into your life (Proverbs 18:21).
You may have gotten into the habit of complaining about your situation. Try this: Set a goal to listen to your words for the next 30 days. Watch what you speak about your nation, your family, your health, your job and your finances. Speak words of thanksgiving over all those things! And watch your outlook and situation turn around.
3. Keep a Gratitude Journal
Instead of focusing on negative things, cultivate a heart full of gratitude! That’s why the Bible instructs us to intentionally think only on good things (Philippians 4:8-9).
A gratitude journal is a great place to start. Take the time to write down three things each morning that you are grateful for. It can be anything–even something as simple as your cup of coffee. Then, spend time thanking God for each of them. You’ll be amazed at how much it will lift your spirit over time. In fact, Dr. Don Colbert prescribes keeping a gratitude journal to many of his patients for physical and emotional healing.
It may be a change to be thankful during tough times, but when you do, you’ll begin to see not only your outlook change, but your circumstances, too! People who are thankful simply enjoy life more and live a better life. You can have that, too. And it’s the kind of life God wants for you.
The concept of gratitude journaling is loosely based on having a relationship with God’s Word. The idea is to keep a daily record of things for which you are thankful.
Much like spending time daily with the Lord, the longer you journal, the more you realize what you have to be grateful for in your life. This has become a popular wellness practice in recent years.
Long before it became a trend, the idea of consistent thankfulness was established in the Bible. Scripture repeatedly emphasizes the power of gratitude as a spiritual discipline that transforms both heart and mind.
Gratitude: A Spiritual Force, Not Just a Trend
Gratitude Journaling isn’t just a self-help exercise–it’s a spiritual force. The world may treat thankfulness as a wellness tool, but the Bible calls it a command and a key to living in victory.
“In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” -1 Thessalonians 5:18, NKJV
God’s Word overflows with expressions of thanksgiving, as seen in the Book of Psalms and Paul’s encouragement to “give thanks in all circumstances” (1 Thessalonians 5:18, ESV). The practice of recognizing and recording God’s blessings is deeply rooted in biblical tradition.
The act of remembering and writing down what God has done reminds you of His faithfulness in your life. Psalm 103:2 admonishes us, “Forget not all His benefits,” suggesting that intentional remembrance keeps us aligned with His Spirit and God’s Word.
Health and Wellness Benefits of Gratitude
Modern research has confirmed what God’s Word has taught us all along: A thankful heart leads to a healthier life. Gratitude journaling provides measurable benefits for both body and soul, including:
Reduced Stress and Anxiety–Recording moments of gratitude shifts focus from what’s wrong to what’s right, calming the mind and lowering stress hormones.
Improved Sleep Quality–Reflecting on blessings before bed helps quiet anxious thoughts, leading to deeper, more restful sleep.
Enhanced Emotional Resilience–Gratitude strengthens mental health by fostering optimism and hope, even in difficult seasons.
Stronger Relationships–Expressing gratitude toward others fosters empathy and connection, aligning with the biblical command to “encourage one another” (Hebrews 3:13, NIV).
Boosted Physical Health–Studies show that grateful people experience fewer aches and pains, lower blood pressure and stronger immune function–evidence of the holistic impact of a thankful mindset.
Learn God’s Word Through Gratitude Journaling
For believers, gratitude journaling goes beyond self-improvement–it’s a spiritual practice that keeps us focused on God’s Word. By documenting God’s faithfulness, we train our thoughts to remember all the times God has been faithful to fulfill His Word to us.
Gratitude anchors us in the reality of God’s truth, which is His Word, and all the ways He provides for us. As we record His blessings, we cultivate a heart of worship toward God and a mindset that sees life through the lens of eternity.
How To Begin Gratitude Journaling
Beginning a gratitude journal doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. The key is consistency, not perfection. Many people hesitate to start because they imagine it requires long, daily entries–but the truth is, even a few intentional moments of reflection can make a lasting difference.
Start small. Much like a journey in God’s Word, set aside just a few minutes each day or a few times a week to write down two or three things you’re thankful for. You might jot them in a notebook, on your phone, or even in the margins of your Bible. The goal is simply to pause and acknowledge God’s goodness in your life.
Think about the everyday blessings. Gratitude journaling isn’t just for major life events or answered prayers–it’s about noticing God’s hand in both the little and the big things. Consider writing about:
Your body: the gift of breath; the ability to see, hear, move and live another day.
Your family and relationships: the health and love of your family, the laughter of a child, a deep conversation, or reconciliation where there once was distance.
Your work: thankfulness for employment, for the opportunity to use your skills, or for co-workers who bring encouragement and friendship.
Your circumstances: larger blessings like a new home, a financial breakthrough or an answered prayer–moments that remind you of God’s faithfulness and provision.
A Gratitude Journal and a Heart of Thankfulness
As you write, remember that this is not about creating a perfect record, but cultivating a grateful heart. Over time, your journal becomes a personal testimony–a written history of how God has moved in your life. Looking back on these entries during difficult seasons can strengthen your faith in God and remind you of His unwavering faithfulness.
Gratitude journaling is both a spiritual and practical habit. It anchors your heart, trains your mind toward joy, and helps you live each day focused on the truth of God’s Word–thankful for what God has done, and expectant for what He will do next.
From Genesis to Revelation, thanksgiving is the posture of the victorious believer. Gratitude positions your heart to receive from God and reminds you that every good thing in your life comes from Him.
When you take time to write down what you’re thankful for, you’re not just keeping a journal–you’re declaring, in writing, that God is good and His mercy endures forever. Cultivating a heart of thankfulness has a profound impact on every area of your life!
There are times in life when the Spirit of the Lord changes plans, ideas and destinations so that someone can get to know God. That is the story of Kenneth Copeland Ministries Partners Mark and Jessica Mashburn.
Their journey in life was like everyone else’s: working together, making ends meet, experiencing memorable times with family and learning what it means to be content.
Only, they weren’t. And they didn’t realize how much they were missing from their journey until God redirected them through a trade show, a word from God, and a stranger offering a book. That set them on a new course, changing their lives forever.
Mark was invited to a business function. You know the ones: thousands of people, cold chicken dinners, networking with people you may never meet again, and hoping for that one golden opportunity. It’s the reason you pack your bags and go to a different city in hopes of something extraordinary happening.
On the stage were families they had never known, living a life they had never experienced. Mark and Jessica wanted that life, and they were there to learn how to achieve it. Thousands of people were seeking a better future. Then, on the last day of a weekend–a Sunday–that extraordinary future began.
“The Realest Gospel I’ve Ever Heard”
Those are Mark’s words. While sitting in a packed auditorium, the message from the stage went from business and marketing to the gospel and living by faith. When Mark wasn’t looking, the Spirit of the Lord moved everything around, and he was faced with an opportunity to question his life and get to know God.
“We were a mess,” Mark recalls, about the moment the speaker discussed knowing God and living for Jesus. “They gave us a time to surrender to Christ, and at that moment, Jesus showed me His face.”
Through the tears, someone in the crowd handed Mark a book by Gloria Copeland, To Know Him. “It was like she was inviting us into a conversation at the table to have a cup of coffee [with Jesus].”
That was a real moment with a real Savior. He read the entire book, learning about being filled with the Holy Spirit, which they then experienced for themselves!
KCM Partnership Connected Them to a Real God
At the meeting, Mark met KCM Partners Larry and Pam Winters. The Winters poured knowledge, love and free materials into Mark and Jessica’s lives, enabling them to learn how to grow in God and live in genuine faith, according to His Word.
“When we had that experience, we were excited about that transformation in Christ,” said Jessica. “But when [Mark] began reading the books, opening the Bible, and wanting to devour all that God had for him…his heart started to change, and he began to cast a vision for our family.”
Faith without works is dead, the Bible shares. And it was when Jessica saw the works that aligned with Mark’s new faith that she realized this gospel wasn’t just “painting a pretty picture.” She knew they were experiencing a true transformation. This new journey was one they needed to take together.
“Watching people and hearing words is what we knew with the Church. We knew about Jesus, but we never knew Him,” Mark recalled. “It’s so fitting that the first book about Jesus I ever got was To Know Him, because that’s all I ever want.”
At the very heart of Kenneth Copeland Ministries is the goal of bringing people to a deeper understanding of God, from milk to meat, and from religion to reality. The Mashburns experienced that; and in response, they are now KCM Partners, so they can help others learn to know God as well.

From a biblical perspective, relationships are vital to living in wholeness because we were created for connection–with God and with one another. When you are in a relationship that is working well, you feel strong and able to handle anything that comes your way.
However, when you face the disappointment of a broken relationship, it can feel like nothing in your life is working. What can you do to experience wholeness in relationships?
Our relationship with God serves as the model example of how to have wholeness in your other relationships.
A relationship, by its very nature, involves more than one person and more than one perspective. This provides opportunity to the devil to sow strife and discord wherever possible, ultimately desiring to fracture or harm your relationship.
True wholeness flows from walking in love, forgiveness and agreement, just as Jesus commanded: “Love one another as I have loved you” (John 15:12, NKJV). So how can we do this?
Wholeness In Relationships Involves Freedom
Every relationship involves the freedom to choose.
What are some choices you can make to nurture a relationship?
Choose to be an encourager.
Choose to listen.
Choose to be patient.
Choose to be humble.
In your most important relationship–your relationship with God–you have the freedom to choose Him or not choose Him. He said, “Choose today whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15). Even though He sent Jesus to die for you, to pay the price for you, you still have a choice whether to receive Him.
And once you receive Jesus, you still have a choice every day to follow God and His plan for your life. God does not want robots; He wants fellowship and relationship with you! He gives you the choice every day to follow Him.
A healthy relationship involves freedom.
In every relationship, you have the freedom to choose every day. You choose how to spend time with your spouse, your kids or anyone else. Every decision you make to listen, to be patient, to be present, you are choosing to create wholeness in relationships.
What does the opposite of freedom in relationships look like?
Guilt
Control
Manipulation
Any relationship that is based on control or manipulation rather than freedom is not healthy and does not produce wholeness. You can learn how to deal wisely with manipulative people. Then find others who, like you, use their freedom to choose God and others every day.
Action Step: Evaluate the choices you are making in your relationships. Are your choices bringing you closer to the person or further away? Could you make some adjustments in your relationships to promote freedom?
Wholeness In Relationships Involves Agreement
Agreement in your relationships may sound contrary to freedom, but it’s not. Amos 3:3 says, “Can two walk together unless they are agreed?” (NKJV). This is true in your relationship with God and others.
God is looking for your agreement with Him. Before He can do many things for you, He looks for you to agree with Him. Isaiah 1:18-19 says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land” (KJV). When you choose to move in agreement with God, you can experience wholeness in your relationship with Him.
There is also power in agreement with another person. Jesus said, “If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you” (Matthew 18:19).
Think back to when you dated your spouse, or another person with whom you have had a long relationship. When you did activities, you were looking for things you both wanted to do. When you went to dinner, you chose places you both would like. It doesn’t mean that either of you wasn’t willing to try new things or places, but you were looking for agreement. Two people who marry may have different personalities, but their core values and the important things of life are typically in agreement. Why? They are going to be walking with each other for a long time!
What if you disagree with someone? Do you have to part ways?
You don’t have to agree with someone on every issue to be friends with them. You may disagree on a topic such as politics, but you can politely agree to disagree. You can choose how you want to approach the relationship in such a way that maintains civility. Wholeness in relationships involves agreement and the ability to choose to disagree at times.
Action Step: Is there someone you are disagreeing with right now? How can you approach them in a way that wouldn’t cause offense? How can you find areas of agreement to be able to move forward in the relationships?
Wholeness In Relationships Involves Love and Forgiveness
You may have experienced a broken relationship but were able to repair it through love and forgiveness. Two people who are willing to love one another and forgive will experience wholeness in their relationship. This is why couples choose to reconcile rather than divorce. This is why families stay together rather than break apart.
Scripture has a lot to say about love and forgiveness. Most importantly, God loved us so much that He sent Jesus (John 3:16), and when we forgive others, we are able to receive forgiveness (Matthew 6:14). Peter asked Jesus, “How often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” Jesus replied, “Seventy times seven!” (Matthew 18:21-22).
The reality is that not everyone will want to repair a broken relationship. And that’s OK. You can decide how to approach each relationship with the following questions:
Am I walking in love and forgiveness?
Is the fracture in our relationship based on a misunderstanding?
Am I intruding on the other person’s boundaries and freedom?
Is the other person willing to repair this relationship?
Those relationships that involve love and forgiveness will experience wholeness. And love and forgiveness require work and choices. In fact, Jesus said that the way people will know you are part of God’s family is by your love for one another (John 13:34-35).
Action Step: Think about a difficult relationship you have right now and answer the four questions above. Ask God to help you and give you wisdom for the right course of action in the relationship.
Relationships can be complex. A good relationship is built on freedom, agreement, love and forgiveness. When any of those four are compromised, the relationship can be at risk.
Discover a newfound freedom in your relationships, both old and new, by applying these principles. It’s never too late to learn skills that can promote wholeness in your relationships. Whenever you are feeling the strain in your relationships, be encouraged that it’s not the final word. Let the wisdom of God and the freedom taught by God help you generate wholeness in your relationships today!
Tithing is more than just giving 10% of your income to God, it’s a spiritual covenant that connects you to His BLESSING. But the power of tithing doesn’t stop when you give, it continues based on what you speak over your tithe!
Proverbs 18:21 (NKJV) says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” When you declare God’s Word over your tithe, you are releasing faith that activates His promises of protection, provision and increase.
Here are five declarations to speak over your tithe.
Declaration 1: Speak Over Your Tithe That God Is Your Source
“Lord, I honor You with my tithe. You are my Source, not my job, not the economy and not people. I trust You completely to provide for me.”
Philippians 4:19: “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.”
Declaration 2: Speak Over Your Tithe That the Windows of Heaven Are Open Over You
“Because I tithe, the windows of heaven are open over my life. Blessings are pouring out that I don’t have room to contain!”
Malachi 3:10: “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in!”
Declaration 3: Speak Over Your Tithe That the Devourer Is Rebuked
“The enemy cannot steal from me. My health, family, finances and work are protected. The devourer is rebuked for my sake!”
Malachi 3:11, (NKJV): “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground.”
Declaration 4: Speak Over Your Tithe That Your Harvest Is Multiplying
“I have a harvest on every seed I sow. I expect abundance, opportunities and increase to flow into my life.”
Proverbs 3:9-10, (NKJV): “Honor the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.”
Declaration 5: Speak Over Your Tithe That You Are a Testimony of God’s Goodness
Take these declarations, make them your own and speak them boldly. As you do, you’ll step deeper into the joy and power of the tithing covenant!
If you want to receive God’s best, you must discipline yourself. How? It begins with setting aside worldly things and spending your time in fellowship with God. Seek His face and you will begin hearing God’s voice.
Your relationship with God began when you asked Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior. That relationship continues through spending time with Him, and it takes discipline to do so.
If you are searching for ways to discipline yourself for God’s best, you’re in the right place by design and divine appointment.
Discipline Yourself to Know God’s Will
God loves you and wants you to know His will in all areas of your life. Jesus prayed that God’s will be done on earth: “May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10). This means that God’s will can be known, not only in heaven, but also on earth. Obeying God is as simple as understanding how He wants to bless you.
How do you know God’s will for your life? Begin by reading the Bible.
To submit to God’s will for more specific situations, continue to develop a relationship with Him. This comes through prayer, praise and spending time with Him. God enjoys your company, so talk to Him. Share events of your day. He can be a great best friend if you let Him.
Discipline Yourself to Listen for God’s Voice
If you don’t yet recognize His voice, ask the Holy Spirit (who lives inside you) to help you identify when God is speaking to you. Go ahead and have a conversation with Him.
God wants you to know Him. It’s God’s will for you to understand what He likes and dislikes, and to know His plan for your day. That will only happen if you spend time with Him. It’s not a matter of sitting down with your Bible, reading and praying for hours and hours. It’s easier than you think, more like a running conversation you have inside your spirit with the Holy Spirit.
Discipline Yourself to Submit to God’s Will
Now this is the difficult one. To submit means “to let go of your will and choose God’s will” in every situation. It helps to realize that God knows everything about everything. He knows your thoughts, He knows your future, and He knows how to lead you toward His perfect will (Jeremiah 29:11).
Don’t take a bite of the fruit of independence and go your own way. You know about the curse that came on Adam and Eve, and then the whole world, when they ate of the forbidden fruit.
If you want to obey God faithfully, make this declaration: “I choose to know and submit to God’s will for my life today, and I choose to be thankful and praise Him that He cares enough about me to make my day better than I might ask or think.”
Discipline Yourself to Obey God
When you know God’s will, do it. Go after it. God promises to be with you. God said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you” (Hebrews 13:5).
If you struggle to obey God, ask Him for help. Paul wrote, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him” (Philippians 2:13).
Disciplining yourself is definitely where faith comes in. When you don’t know how, can’t see the result, or feel inadequate, have faith in God. Jesus said that when He left the earth, God would send another Comforter. That’s the Holy Spirit. He’s in you and will be with you to help you obey God.
Brother Copeland talks about making quality decisions. A quality decision is one from which there is no turning back and from which there is no retreat. He said you should “find out the will of God. Confer no longer with flesh and blood. Get the job done at all costs.”
It’s up to you to take these steps and discipline yourself to receive God’s best. He won’t force you; He will help you. Don’t delay. Demand better from yourself in hearing God’s voice, and you will receive His blessings.
Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Jaime Hernandez joined the United States Air Force as a young man. There was just one catch: He didn’t speak English. To help him learn the language, he went to the first source that was helping him understand the most about his words.
He wrote to Kenneth Copeland Ministries (KCM), requesting tapes that he could play in his car while driving around base and the surrounding cities.
Before he had this idea, Hernandez couldn’t understand what Copeland was saying, nor did he understand the words of his drill sergeant at boot camp. “I didn’t know what orders were given, but I would follow what I saw the other soldiers doing,” Hernandez recalled with a grin.
Even though he couldn’t fully understand Kenneth Copeland, Jaime Hernandez continued to listen faithfully to Copeland’s tapes. After several weeks, he began to understand the English language better. Still, Hernandez couldn’t speak it himself.
Then, one night, a miracle happened. “I went to bed and when I woke up the next morning, the English language flowed fluently when I spoke,” he said. He believes this was a direct result of consistently listening to Kenneth Copeland’s teachings.
Partnering With a Source of Inspiration
At that point, Jaime and his wife, Bildad, became Partners with KCM in 1989.
Hernandez served in the U.S. Armed Forces for 23 years. According to him, it didn’t matter where he was stationed in the world; he and his family were connected to KCM through books, tapes, and the Partner letters. “It helped and strengthened us, and gave us answers as we sought the Lord,” shared Hernandez.
While on active duty in war zones, he had confidence that his wife and their family were praying for him. “I also knew that I had Kenneth Copeland and the KCM Prayer Advocates praying for me and my family,” he said.
This gave Jaime Hernandez and his wife peace and comfort during uncertain times. “We constantly heard Gloria [Copeland] teaching about safety and protection and Psalm 91,” said Bildad.
The Word was not only getting into the hearts of Jaime and Bildad, but also into their children’s.
Watch this to hear their story of protection when a car came at their van head-on– their children used their faith in God’s deliverance!
Pastor Jaime Hernandez prays for a young man at an EMIC Latino Ministries service, along with his wife Bildad.
In Fort Worth, Texas, the population is over 30% Latino. “The Latino community is very close to Brother Copeland’s heart,” said Pastor Jaime.
For many years, Hernandez and his wife volunteered their time to provide Spanish interpretation for EMIC Sunday and Wednesday services. In 2023, with the advent of EMIC Latino, Jaime stepped into the role of Pastor.
Watch as Pastor George Pearsons of Eagle Mountain International Church interviews Pastor Jaime.
With a focus on seeing Latino individuals and families live in the fullness of the blessing according to Ephesians 1:3, this ministry connects EMIC with the Spanish-speaking population both locally and around the world.
“We are passionate about helping people know God’s Word by demonstrating His unreserved love to all who reach out,” said Pastor Jaime. “I am honored to be part of the work that takes place at EMIC, reaching Spanish-speaking people for the glory of God.”
From a young man who couldn’t speak English to a career U.S. Military veteran, Pastor Jaime Hernandez is proof that when you commit your life to the Lord, marvelous things will happen. For more information about EMIC Latino, you may write to latino.info@kcm.org.
Are you experiencing physical issues and need to receive healing in your body?
Joan Greene understands the struggles of pain and faith. She was trained as a concert pianist, but hadn’t been able to play for 12 years due to her physical condition. She sat in a wheelchair, unable to walk and trembling from head to toe.
To make things worse, her fingers didn’t work like they used to because her body was plagued with 80 diseases connected to her thyroid (yes, 8-0). After six years of infirmity, she was put on hospice care and almost died when her blood pressure sank to zero.
But that’s not how Joan’s story ends. After 12 years of her infirmity, she was healed. What happened? Follow the three steps Joan took to receive healing in your body.
Step 1: Stop Tolerating Physical Symptoms
Joan had numerous physical symptoms, but she knew those weren’t from God. She made a choice to stop tolerating physical symptoms and believe what the Bible says about this illness.
The Word says that every good gift and perfect gift comes from God (James 1:17), and sickness is not a good and perfect gift. Jesus said in John 10:10, “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.”
Jesus came to bring life to every person, and the devil is the one trying to steal, kill and destroy with sickness and disease. Knowing that sickness is not from God and that receiving healing is the will of God for you, is the first step to experiencing healing in your body.
Step 2: Spend Time Hearing the Word on Healing
Joan and her husband filled themselves with God’s Word by spending time hearing the Word on healing. They watched and listened to the teachings of Kenneth and Gloria Copeland and built themselves up in faith. This was a daily part of their lives.
When they heard about a live service happening at Eagle Mountain International Church in Fort Worth, Texas, called “Miracles on the Mountain” with Billy Burke, they were determined to watch.
As the live broadcast progressed, Joan told her husband they had to attend! She insisted that she needed to be in that very service to be prayed for and to receive complete healing. Her ability to hear from God came as a result of spending time hearing the Word.
Step 3: Take Action
Joan and her husband took action on the word from God by getting in the car and driving 45 minutes to the healing service at Eagle Mountain International Church!
When they arrived, they were brought to the front of the prayer line. After receiving prayer, little by little, step by wobbly step, Joan could walk…then run. Tremors were gone. Hashimoto’s thyroiditis was gone. All 80 diseases brought on by a bad thyroid were gone!
As she climbed the stairs to the platform without help, she went to the keyboard and began to play the piano like she was trained to do so many years before. The color came back into her face, her strength returned, and Joan looked as though she had never been sick. Everything in her life was restored. Now Joan and her family celebrate the healing power of God!
You might not be facing a debilitating illness, but God will deliver you just like He did Joan. You can receive God’s help by speaking and believing the Word of God. Call on Him for your healing. He will do it if you believe and speak His will because He loves you.
Jesus talks about knowing and recognizing His voice in John 10:1-16. “After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice. They won’t follow a stranger; they will run from him because they don’t know his voice” (verses 4-5).
If you are born again, you should know and recognize the voice of your Good Shepherd, Jesus, and the voice of a stranger you should not follow.
Learn from one man who was in New York City on 9/11 and discover the faith to hear and obey the Holy Spirit to overcome fear in your life.
Recognizing God’s Voice Could Lead You to Safety
“Run.”
That was the one word God spoke to a man who had just witnessed terrorists attack the World Trade Center in New York City using two airplanes on September 11, 2001.
As a believer and member of a church located within sight of the Twin Towers, his first instinct was to run inside and help people get out of the building — but God gave him different instructions.
God led him to run to the subway tunnel across the street. Just as he descended the 40-foot staircase to get to the subway level underground, he heard the explosion that accompanied the collapse of the first tower. The intense heat made its way below into the tunnel. He later learned that the fire from the blast had incinerated everyone standing in the place he’d been when God told him to run.
He again felt a nudge from the Holy Spirit–this time, to leave the subway tunnel and move away from the area altogether. As he ran, ashes filled the air and everything turned black with soot.
Throughout his supernatural escape, he said he felt like he was in a protected place. His crisp, white dress shirt didn’t have a mark on it–not even from the sky filled with ashes.
Looking back on September 11, 2001, it seems like a terrible dream filled with fear. But for those who were impacted, whether by being in one of the buildings or having loved ones there, it was more than a dream. It was a horrendous experience no one ever wanted to have.
God’s Voice Can Lead Us from Tragedy to Safety
Americans didn’t expect a terrorist attack on their soil, especially not one committed by men who were determined to destroy America. The devastation was unthinkable, the horror unbelievable, and the damage was far-reaching.
This man, who ran from the Twin Towers, obeyed God’s voice. He had learned in church how to hear the voice of the Lord, and that’s what he believes saved him that day.
God’s Word contains instructions on how to live a protected life. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 promises you’ll be blessed everywhere you go and in everything you do if you hear and obey His voice.
Follow the instructions in the Word. Instructions about your job, family, and even possible dangerous situations will come to you as you meditate on God’s Word and allow it to take root in your heart. You will have ears to hear and eyes to see God’s will.
Just like the man who escaped death at the Twin Towers, you can escape trouble by running to God for help! You can overcome fear in your life by hearing and obeying.
September is here, which means you have sent your children to school and probably prayed many prayers over them but did you think to pray for their teachers?
According to a study from the American Educational Research Association, teachers in the U.S. are 40% more likely to experience symptoms of anxiety in comparison with healthcare workers, 20% more likely than office workers, and 30% more likely than workers in other professions like farming and the military.
More likely than the military? Let that soak in. The same study shows K-12 teachers are the number one most “burnt-out” profession in the country today. When teachers in any school across the United States face burnout or excessive stress, it’s the education system that suffers, but it’s our children who suffer most.
Other harrowing numbers are:
90% of teachers claim that feeling burnt out is a serious problem
54% of public schools posted teaching vacancies in 2024
43% of educator job postings aregoing unfilled
30% of teachers were found to be chronically absent
For most of the teachers in schools today, it’s more than a career, it’s a calling.
How can you pray for your child’s teachers?
The Bible instructs us to pray for all who are in authority (1 Timothy 2:2), and teachers are in authority over your children in school. Choosing to pray for teachers enables God to work in their lives, affecting the peace and happiness of your children.
One Partner Kenneth Copeland Ministries knows well and is a dedicated steward of the Lord, is David Luna. His inspirational story is based on a book from Kenneth and Gloria Copeland titled From Faith to Faith. Luna wrote a 10-month curriculum that is now going into public schools.
“Right now, schools are trying to figure out what to do, and the only thing that can change [the environment] is God’s Spirit and faith. I’m literally able to take faith–what I’ve learned from Brother Copeland–into the schools to change it.” The principles Luna is teaching are life skills, but they’re also biblical, and it is changing the lives of these students. “I [teach] them to speak good things over themselves. I get them to speak good things over their families, and about their future and their purpose,” shares Luna.
Someone, somewhere, prayed for this teacher to receive an idea, a Word from God. He received it and is now prospering and blessing thousands of children every year with the promises of God.
Pray the following four prayers over your child’s teachers, and watch God work in each of their lives:
1. Prayer for Truth
God, I pray for my child’s teacher, that the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ shine unto them (2 Corinthians 4:4), that they turn from darkness to light, from the power of satan to the power of God (Acts 26:18).
If they already know You, I pray that they are filled with the knowledge of Your Word in all wisdom and truth (Ephesians 1:17).
2. Prayer for Wisdom
Father God, You said that if we need wisdom, we can ask You for it.You give wisdom generouslyand will not rebuke us for asking (James 1:5). I ask You to give wisdom to my child’s teacher. Show them how to teach effectively andreach all the children in the classroom. Give them patience that accompanies Your wisdom in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
3. Prayer for Ideas
God, I pray for each of my child’s teachers and ask You to help them (1 Timothy 2:1-4). Give them creative ideas, fun activitiesandengaging lesson plans. Connect them with the right people who will supply them with the ideas they need to reach each student.
4. Prayer for Prosperity
Father God, You said that You take pleasure in the prosperity of Your servant (Psalm 35:27). Each of my child’s teachers are sent to minister to my children and so I ask You to prosper them spiritually, mentally, emotionally, physically, socially and financially in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
All teachers need inspiration from time to time. Sometimes, the same classroom study can lose its effect, or the teacher can lose their zeal to teach it. This is why you should pray for your child’s teachers to ask God to fill their minds with wisdom and ideas (Proverbs 2:6). Those ideas will position them for placement and success within their schools and districts (Proverbs 16:3) enabling them to minister and bless more students!
Follow in the footsteps of the woman with the issue of blood to receive healing today. Let’s learn a little about this woman in the Bible, who suffered from a chronic condition that caused constant bleeding.
“A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years, she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse” (Mark 5:25-26).
You may be able to identify with this woman. She had done everything she knew to do to get well, but instead of getting better, she got worse!
Have you been struggling with a condition for a long time and haven’t felt better, but instead you’ve gotten worse? If so, you can receive healing today by following the same biblical steps this woman took.
Hear the Word
What did she hear? She heard the Word that Jesus miraculously healed people of their diseases, even incurable ones. Verse 27 says, “She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd….”
Maybe you haven’t heard that Jesus heals. Perhaps you have wondered if a miracle could happen to you. Those answers lie in learning about Jesus, the Healer.
Watch Healing School from the 2025 Southwest Believers’ Convention on Saturday, Aug. 2. Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn share God’s Word, faith is stirred, and God’s power heals many people!
The same anointing that was present in the Bible for the woman with the issue of blood is also present at Healing School in Fort Worth. No matter the time or distance, the same Jesus can heal you today!
Believe the Word
When the woman heard that Jesus was healing people, she came behind Him “and touched his robe” (verse 27). Her action of reaching out and touching Jesus’ robe showed that she believed Jesus could heal her.
The Bible has a lot to say about healing. You can read and believe healing scriptures to receive healing for whatever you need.
Speak the Word
After hearing the Word and believing the Word, “she thought to herself, ‘If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed'” (verse 28). One translation says that she kept saying this to herself, meaning she repeatedly spoke those words.
Words are powerful, especially words spoken in faith. It’s important to say what you want to happen. She spoke her healing, believing in the power of the Word of God (Jesus).
Do the Word
Then she had to act on the Word. She had to do the Word. Hoping no one saw her, “she touched the fringe of his robe” (Matthew 9:20).
It wasn’t lawful at that time to reach out and touch someone’s garment, especially when she was considered “unclean” due to her blood condition. But she did it anyway. She had faith in her heart, rooted in the Word she had heard, to reach out and touch the fringe of Jesus’ garment.
You might think, “I can’t touch Jesus like this woman did.” However, you can. Jesus is the Word (John 1:14; 1 John 1:1), and He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Be Healed by the Word
As soon as she touched His garment, “immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition” (Mark 5:29).
“Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, ‘Who touched my robe?’ His disciples said to him, ‘Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’ But he kept on looking around to see who had done it. Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him, telling him what she had done. And he said to her, ‘Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over‘” (verses 30-34).
Just like the woman with the issue of blood, you can use the same process to receive your healing. You can receive healing in your home, in church or at special services, such as KCM’s Southwest Believers’ Convention.
God wants you to be healed (3 John 2). Put your faith in God, follow the steps, and receive your healing today!
What is a hero of faith?
Superman, Batman and the Fantastic Four are imaginary heroes who do extraordinary things. Military assets such as the SEAL team and Army Rangers are real-life heroes. The same can be said for first-line responder groups, such as SWAT teams or bomb squads. Each person who defends and serves the public braves dangerous tasks to protect the United States and everyone who calls it home.
Everyone loves to see real-life and imaginary heroes in action, even heroes who have faith in God.
The Old Testament speaks of men and women who won battles, reigned over nations, and were promised blessings because of their faith in God. 1 Corinthians 11:2 refers to these heroes of faith when it says, “Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.”
Let’s examine the actions of Noah, Abraham, Joseph and Moses to learn how to be a hero of faith, do extraordinary things, and receive a good reputation with God and others.
1. Follow the Faith of Noah
You have undoubtedly heard of Noah, a hero of faith. Hebrews 11:7 says, “It was by faith that Noah built a large boat to save his family from the flood. He obeyed God, who warned him about things that had never happened before. By his faith Noah condemned the rest of the world, and he received the righteousness that comes by faith.”
God judged the earth and everything in it (Genesis 7:23). Everyone on the planet died in the worldwide flood except Noah, his wife, his three sons and their wives, because he had faith enough to build an ark and do what God asked him to begin a new journey.
You know the rest of the story. Noah and his family were saved along with enough animals to repopulate the earth. Because of Noah’s faith in God and his obedience, we are here today!
How do you follow the faith of Noah? Hebrews 11:6 says, “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Believing that God exists rewards you when you seek Him. That is living by faith, and that’s how you please God and follow the faith of Noah.
Watch Kenneth Copeland explain how to live by faith every day.
2. Believe the Impossible as the Original Hero of Faith, Abraham
One of the great heroes of faith was Abraham. God told Abraham and his wife, Sarah, they would have a son. This was going to be a miracle baby, because Sarah had been barren all her life, and Abraham was old as well.
Sure enough, God’s promise happened! When Abraham was 100 years old and Sarah was 90, they had a baby by faith in God’s promise. “So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. And we are all certain to receive it, whether or not we live according to the law of Moses, if we have faith like Abraham’s. For Abraham is the father of all who believe” (Romans 4:16).
Abraham’s faith is an example of how you can believe in God without first seeing the evidence. “God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did” (verse 17).
Abraham believed the impossible, and so can you! Trust in God, and you will see the result of what you believe the Lord will do in your life.
3. Stand In the Face of Persecution Like Joseph
Joseph was a hero of faith. He had dreams from the Lord concerning his future, and he believed they would come true. However, his life as a young man took a turn for the worse. His brothers hated him; they sold him into slavery, and he went to prison. Yet, he still lived by faith.
Two years later, the Pharaoh of Egypt had a dream that none of his wise men could interpret. Pharaoh’s official cupbearer remembered Joseph’s gift of dream interpretation from prison, and he was brought to the palace. Joseph gave the glory to God, who knows all things, and he interpreted Pharaoh’s dream.
As a result, Joseph was immediately appointed the highest ruler in Egypt under Pharaoh himself. Later, Joseph encouraged his brothers by saying, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people” (Genesis 50:20).
Joseph’s faith in God saved him, delivered his family, and provided food for Egypt and the rest of the world (Genesis 41:54).
Maybe you have experienced persecution at the hands of your family, your so-called friends or both. God can take any situation and turn it for good. Trust in God. Give this situation to Him, forgive and believe God to get you out of the circumstance in better shape than before.
Learn from Kenneth Copeland and Bill Winston how, like Joseph, the favor of God will open doors for you.
4. Overcome Failure Like Moses
Another hero of faith was Moses. He lived in Egypt in the Pharaoh’s palace about 400 years after Joseph, but when he realized God had called him to deliver the Israelites and lead them back to the Promised Land, he left the palace!
Hebrews 11:27 says, “It was by faith that Moses left the land of Egypt, not fearing the king’s anger. He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.” In the desert, 40 years later, God renewed His call on Moses.
Moses didn’t think he could do it. He had failed before when he tried to convince the Israelites that God would use him to deliver them from Egypt. God had a plan for Moses, and He wouldn’t stop until it was accomplished, but Moses had to live by faith.
Have you failed in life? Are you afraid you can’t be the person God wants you to be? God will pick you up and set you back on a path to be the help others need, if you open your heart and let Him.
5. You Can Be a Hero of Faith
Study these heroes of faith and learn how their faith in God caused them to be victorious. They discovered how to move mountains in their lives to obtain God’s promises.
You can do the same! Philippians 2:13 says, “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.”
Picture yourself as a hero in the faith, someone living by faith in God no matter what. You might not see yourself that way, but you can be.
It takes desire, decision, discipline and determination to put your natural inclinations down and imitate Jesus in all parts of your life. Even if you fail, get up and try again, and you can be a faith hero!
Carlos Martinez gave his heart to the Lord as a young man. Yet, he was without a church homeor someone to disciple him or help him understand his identity in Christ. He continued to struggle with sin.
“The thing is that a lot of times people receive Him, but don’t have a church or somebody to mentor them. Mine was a beautiful experience, but it didn’t last long,” Carlos told KCM. “It was ‘hell on earth.’ I was not connected to a ministry. Working on my salvation by myself felt like hell on earth because of all the temptations.”
Then, one day, he met a pastor from Montebello, Calif., and Martinez rededicated his life to the Lord. The pastor invited Martinez to a faith-based convention that was happening the following week.
It was the West Coast Believers’ Convention in Anaheim, Calif.
“When I walked into that place, I heard the music and the shouting. I saw happy people, and then a powerful man emerged. I didn’t know who he was, but when I saw him, my heart leaped. It was Brother Kenneth Copeland. I fell in love with his spirit,” recalled Martinez.
“He said that I’m valuable, and preached a message about the reality of the new birth,” said Martinez. “I received it. I rejoiced in that. That was over 30 years ago, and you know what? I have not looked back since. I never missed a Believers’ Convention after that.”

As he listened to what Brother Copeland was ministering, Martinez’s spiritual eyes were opened to the truth that he is a new creature in Christ, just as we read in 2 Corinthians 5:16-18.
“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time, we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.”
After several years of faithfully serving other ministries, Martinez sensed the Lord leading him to become a pastor. His identity in Christ was becoming more real.
“Today, I look at my congregation and I see police officers who come to my church. I see city officials who show up, and then I see some schoolteachers who come to listen to God’s Word,” shared Martinez. “I laugh because I used to run away from people in those positions.”
Watch Pastor Carlos Martinez share his story:
Martinez attributes his spiritual growth to the teachings of Brother Copeland and KCM, which have always focused on discovering your identity in Christ. “Brother Copeland paved the way for us ministers so that we won’t have to go through challenges and things that he went through. And it’s the same way now with us. We’re paving the way for the next generation.”
Jesus teaches in Mark 4:3-20 that where you plant the seed matters. Martinez enjoys being a Partner with a ministry like Kenneth Copeland Ministries because he knows that he can trust this ministry to do something good with the finances he sows. A place where souls are won, and where the job is getting done.
“You know, a farmer doesn’t just throw seed anywhere. He puts it in good soil. KCM is good soil, and I’m reaping a harvest because of it,” said Martinez.

“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:10, NKJV).
“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen” (Ephesians 4:29, NIV).
“If you claim to be religious but don’t control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless” (James 1:26).
“The tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire. And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself” (James 3:3-6).
“If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies” (1 Peter 3:10).

Do you need provision in your family? Do you need finances? Do you need a job? Do you need food to put on the table? Do you need clothing for your family? What else does your family need?
As a believer, you have experienced God supply you with a glorious salvation in Jesus Christ, ensuring an eternity in heaven with Him. While you are here on earth, He desires to meet the needs in your life and in your family’s lives; He wants you to depend on Him. In fact, Philippians 4:19 says, “I am convinced that my God will fully satisfy every need you have, for I have seen the abundant riches of glory revealed to me through Jesus Christ!” (TPT).
For whatever provision you and your family need–whether spiritual, mental, emotional or physical–you can pray the following:
Heavenly Father, I pray for provision in my family. According to Your Word, You are my Provider. You are my Source for all good things. You have promised to fully satisfy every need I have. You can turn disaster to victory. You have promised to be my God, and I belong to You.
Father, You said in Your Word that I have not because I ask not (James 4:2). To me that means I must ask, so I’m asking You to take care of the lack in my life. I know You will provide good things for me, because You said in Your Word that You are my good heavenly Father. If I ask for bread, you will not give me a stone; or if I ask for a fish, you will not give me a serpent (Matthew 7:9-11).
Father, I know You want me prosper and be healthy just as my soul prospers. Therefore, according to 3 John 2, I am healthy and prosperous because my soul is prospering as I abide in Your love.
Father, because I’m a tither, I expect provision and blessings that overflow from heaven as You promised. You said I could test You by bringing the first of my increase as an offering to You, and You would bless me more than I can contain (Malachi 3:10).
I take comfort, Father, that You are my Shepherd and that You provide for me (Psalm 23:1). I love You, Father; and I thank You for being my Provider/Father. Teach me to use Your provision wisely so that I can continue to tithe, give offerings, bless my family and put some in savings. You are my God, and I praise and worship You forever! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
Learn how to take care of your family with 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family.
Fathers are called many things like Dad, Daddy or Pops. Another word that expresses the role of a father is provider. If you had a father who was a good provider to you, you are truly blessed!
One of God’s Names is Jehovah Jireh, which means “God our Provider.” God, in His mercy, provides you with salvation and eternal life; meets your physical needs such as food, housing, healing and protection; and even gives you wisdom for each day. Philippians 4:19 says, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus” (ESV).
With God as his perfect example, an earthly father can take on the role of provider in many ways: in the spiritual growth and development of his family, for the material needs of his family, and with emotional support and encouragement. It’s a big job! But the man who puts 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family into practice in his life can do it!
1. A father loves God and others.
“The man answered, ‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” -Luke 10:27
The No. 1 way a father provides for his family is to love God. What activities show that a father loves God? He prays, reads God’s Word, and attends and participates in church. He also tithes and gives offerings. He spends time each day visiting with his Father God. He carves time out of his day to listen for the voice of the Lord.
A father also provides for his family by loving others. He is patient and kind, not jealous, boastful or proud (1 Corinthians 13:4). He is available to teach and train others, including his children. The love of God through the father provides a sense of belonging and offers strength to overcome obstacles in life. A father provides for his family by making them feel secure and teaching them to love others.
“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” -Ephesians 4:32
Another way a father provides for his family is that he forgives as God has forgiven him. In Matthew 18:21-22, Peter asked Jesus, “Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?” Jesus replied, “No, not seven times, but seventy times seven!”
The best kind of father is one who forgives and keeps on forgiving. After all, God forgives us (Psalm 103:3). Everyone makes mistakes, and everyone needs to be forgiven. When a child makes a mistake, it’s important for the father to tell the child, in love, what they did wrong. Then, to end the matter, the father needs to say those three important words, “I forgive you.” This simple act of forgiveness provides stability in the home.
When a father refuses to forgive a family member or a business associate, not only does he get more and more miserable, but he also puts himself in jeopardy and paints a dangerous picture for his family to imitate. Holding a grudge and living in unforgiveness is like scratching a sore that never heals. A father can provide for his family by demonstrating forgiveness to them and others.
3. A father walks in the fruit of the spirit.
“But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!” -Galatians 5:22-23
A third way a father provides for his family is that he walks in the fruit of the spirit. When a man is born again, the Holy Spirit comes to live within his spirit, and what a difference that can make! The Holy Spirit will work through a father so that his natural inclination changes from the old ways to the ways of God.
Instead of anger, he can demonstrate love. Instead of sadness, he can be quick to show joy and laughter. Instead of strife, there is peace. Rather than lose his temper, the father can patiently wait and act with kindness, gentleness and self-control. All these character traits are available to the father who chooses to walk in the fruit of the spirit.
If you have a parent or spouse who struggles to walk in the fruit of the spirit, you can pray for them to develop in spiritual maturity: A Prayer To Draw Near to God
It doesn’t happen overnight, but as a father yields to the Lord, the fruit begins to ripen to the image of Christ, and this fruit provides a godly home for his family.
4. A father puts the Word of God first place in his life.
“I have tried hard to find you–don’t let me wander from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you. I praise you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. I have recited aloud all the regulations you have given us.” -Psalm 119:10-13
A father also provides for his family by putting the Word of God first place in his life. What does that mean? It means he makes God’s Word the final authority in every decision.
For example, a teenage daughter wants to go to her friend’s party. The father is responsible to find out certain things about the party. Are her friend’s family Christians? Will the parents be at the party? Will boys and girls be properly chaperoned? Will alcohol or other dangerous substances be served, or maybe brought in? Does his daughter have an escape plan? These are things the father needs to know before he can make his decision.
Decisions based on God’s Word will bring successful results. A father must consider God’s Word in deciding where to go to church, where to work, where to live, how to spend money, and how to be a witness for Jesus Christ. Those decisions come easier as he and his wife are in agreement with the Word of God (Matthew 18:19-20). With God and His Word in first place and as final authority, the father can provide a good life for his family.
5. A father prays about everything.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
Another way a father provides for his family is by praying about everything. That’s when spending time daily with the Lord becomes essential. Knowing what to do, and how and when to do it, can be a challenge. A father who prays about everything can have confidence in his decisions. God is his Source and will provide all he and his family need, including God’s wisdom and peace.
A father’s prayer also provides confidence for each member of the family. They know their father’s prayers are effective because he prays according to God’s Word. “The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (James 5:16).
Even more powerful is when a family prays together and comes into agreement with the Word! Jesus said, “If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them” (Matthew 18:19-20). A father provides for his family by praying about everything.
6. A father is generous with his time and resources.
“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” -Matthew 6:19-21
A father who is generous with his time and resources provides for his family. It takes effort for a father to be generous with his time and resources. After all, his job, which oftentimes provides for his family, takes most of his time and attention. And it takes a concentrated effort to focus on the family’s activities, interests and responsibilities. Being a father is not for the fainthearted!
One of the most encouraging phrases in the Bible is “but God” (Ephesians 2:4). Whatever is going on, whatever seems stressful or impossible can be overcome with that little phrase, “but God.” You see, the word but is a word that cancels out everything said before. For example: “There’s not enough money for that…but God.” With that little word, but, lack is no longer a factor. “I can’t do that…but God.” Suddenly the impossible becomes possible with God. “There’s no way I will get that better-paying job…but God.” Hope and faith soar at the possibility that God will intervene and allow the father to provide what is needed.
7. A father avoids the things God hates.
“There are six things the Lord hates–no, seven things he detests: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, a false witness who pours out lies, a person who sows discord in a family.” -Proverbs 6:16-19
Finally, a father provides for his family by avoiding the things God hates. It can be hard to associate a loving God with the concept of hate. But God does hate evil. “You love justice and hate evil” (Hebrews 1:9). Evil is the opposite of good–and God, and everything about God, is good.
As a father, it’s best to avoid the things God hates. Haughty eyes? That’s pride. Lying tongue? That’s obviously lies. Hands that kill the innocent? That’s murder. A heart that plots evil? That’s corruption. Feet that race to do wrong? That’s a person who has no restraint. A false witness who pours out lies? That’s a deceiver. And a person who sows discord in a family? That’s strife. Not only does a father hate the things God hates, but he also loves the things God loves–and that includes his family.
Watch Kenneth Copeland share a message to fathers on Father’s Day:
When you put into practice 7 Ways a Father Provides for His Family, you are relying on your Father God to help you and equip you to be a blessing to your family. Drawing from your Ultimate Provider, God, you can provide for your family both spiritually and naturally; and be a light and witness to others of the goodness of God!
Hella Malawar suffered from depression for many years, eventually leading to a suicide attempt. Then, she was introduced to Jesus, and her life was changed forever.
It started when she was 15 years old. The depression…the fear…the debilitating darkness.
She tried everything she could think of, hoping for relief. Therapy, hypnosis, light therapy– nothing helped. After about three or four years of trying, Hella Malawar no longer wanted to live, so she decided to end her life. Following a failed suicide attempt, her sister-in-law purposed in her heart that she would tell Hella about a Man named Jesus.
At first, Hella was opposed to this. “I didn’t like what I saw in the church; I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way. But I was looking for God and I didn’t find him,” shared Hella. “So, my sister-in-law came to me and told me about Jesus.”
Watch Hella and Obele tell their story here:
Hella listened to her sister-in-law talk for two hours, then she heard, “Hella, my God can heal you.”
This was different than anything Hella had heard before. She allowed her sister-in-law to pray for her, then Hella knew immediately that Jesus is alive, and that what her sister-in-law was sharing was real. “It was so life changing,” recalled Hella. “One moment I was an unbeliever, the next moment I really knew it.”
In that moment, Hella began a new life, as 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us: “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”
Because she made the choice to be born again by accepting Jesus as her Savior, Hella finally felt hope. Her sister-in-law took her to church the following Sunday, and Hella has never left, “Because I thought, okay, this Jesus, I want to know him,” shared Hella.
Feed Your Spirit the Word of God
Hella stopped every type of therapy, instead going to Bible study every week; Healing School was the biggest help for her during this time. The Word of God has been her anchor in her journey to wholeness.
Hella and her husband, Obele, began reading and listening to every teaching resource from KCM that they could get their hands on: books, cassette tapes and CDs; resources regarding fear, healing and prosperity. “Everything was new to us,” said Obele. “So, we went into everything in a new way.”
The Malawars were living out the principle of Romans 12:2, which tells us to allow God to transform us into a new person by changing the way we think. As we seek Him by spending time fellowshipping with Him in His Word, we learn His will for our lives.
Resources to help you transform into who Jesus died for you to be:
Said Hella, “If you don’t feed yourself with the Word of God, it goes away from you. Like you eat in the natural, you must feed your Spirit because if you want to stay strong in the Spirit, you need the Word.”
Hella wants to see people experience the victory that Jesus gave to us when He died on the cross in our place. This is seen in Isaiah 53:5, which says that He was beaten so that we could be whole, and He was whipped so we could be healed.
Covenant Partners Stand Together
Through the teaching of KCM, the Malawars learned to be in covenant with one another. “That’s one of the reasons we decided we wanted to be a Partner with KCM, so we could stand together in faith and also share in the anointing that’s on the ministry,” said Obele. “We are very conscious that we have a partnership.”
Added Hella, “Partnership means a lot to us.”
God has provided blessings for you in every area of your life. One way to access the blessings of God is through the tithe. The tithe refers to the first 10% of your income; it belongs to the Lord (Malachi 3:8). If you tithe in faith with a willing heart, God will generously bless your life.
Dive into these 10 Scriptures About Tithing to discover what God’s Word says about tithing, and develop your faith in the blessing of the tithe.
“Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine” (Proverbs 3:9-10).
“‘Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,’ says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, ‘I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,’ says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies” (Malachi 3:10-11).
“‘And now, O LORD, I have brought you the first portion of the harvest you have given me from the ground.’ Then place the produce before the LORD your God, and bow to the ground in worship before him. Afterward you may go and celebrate because of all the good things the LORD your God has given to you and your household” (Deuteronomy 26:10-11).
“You must set aside a tithe of your crops–one-tenth of all the crops you harvest each year” (Deuteronomy 14:22).
“Here mortal men receive tithes, but there He [Jesus] receives them, of whom it is witnessed that He lives” (Hebrews 7:8, NKJV).
“And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him” (Hebrews 11:6).
“Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full–pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back” (Luke 6:38).
“You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. ‘For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.’ And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others” (2 Corinthians 9:7-8).
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).
“And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need” (Matthew 6:30-33).

What does it mean to be a faith-filled parent? Does it mean you gave your heart to the Lord and you are a Christian? That’s definitely the first step to being a faith-filled parent. But your life of faith doesn’t stop when you make Jesus the Lord of your life. On the contrary, that’s when your life of faith begins.
Galatians 3:3 says, “Having begun [your new life spiritually] with the [Holy] Spirit, are you now reaching perfection [by dependence] on the flesh?” (AMPC). You began your life of faith with the help of the Holy Spirit, and now you can continue your life as a faith-filled parent with the help of the Holy Spirit. Every decision you make regarding your children can be guided by the Holy Spirit. Begin by planting the Word of God in your heart with these 20 Scriptures for a Faith-Filled Parent.
Your children are blessed.
1. “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country” (Deuteronomy 28:3, NKJV). 2. “For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls” (Psalm 147:13). 3. “The godly walk with integrity; blessed are their children who follow them” (Proverbs 20:7). 4. “Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed” (Psalm 112:2). 5. “Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed” (Deuteronomy 28:4).
Your children are trained.
6. “Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it” (Proverbs 22:6). 7. “All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children” (Isaiah 54:13, NKJV). 8. “I have singled him out so that he will direct his sons and their families to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just. Then I will do for Abraham all that I have promised” (Genesis 18:19).
Learn about how The Faith of Parents Sets the Children’s Course for Life with Kenneth Copeland and Jesse Duplantis.
Your children are obedient.
9. “He must manage his own family well, having children who respect and obey him” (1 Timothy 3:4). 10. “Be careful to obey all my commands, so that all will go well with you and your children after you, because you will be doing what is good and pleasing to the LORD your God” (Deuteronomy 12:28). 11. “Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. ‘Honor your father and mother.’ This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, ‘things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.’ Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger by the way you treat them. Rather, bring them up with the discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord” (Ephesians 6:1-4). 12. “Even children are known by the way they act, whether their conduct is pure, and whether it is right” (Proverbs 20:11). 13. “Children, always obey your parents, for this pleases the Lord” (Colossians 3:20).
Your children are fruitful.
14. “They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do” (Psalm 1:3). 15. “Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table” (Psalm 128:3). 16. “Our children will also serve him. Future generations will hear about the wonders of the Lord” (Psalm 22:30).
Your children love one another.
17. “And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows” (1 Thessalonians 3:12). 18. “Owe nothing to anyone–except for your obligation to love one another. If you love your neighbor, you will fulfill the requirements of God’s law” (Romans 13:8).
Your children have joy.
19. “And so, my children, listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful” (Proverbs 8:32). 20. “But let all who take refuge in you rejoice; let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy” (Psalm 5:11).

You don’t have to spend a lifetime studying faith before you can see results. Learn the quickest way to become a faith giant who wins every time.
Do you feel like you’re going around and around the same mountain? Maybe it seems like you’re standing in faith and believing for financial breakthrough, healing or a miracle in your marriage, only to find yourself back in the same place again. Faith is a lifelong pursuit, but miracles and victories are for every day. The quickest way to get what you want is to make an intense shift in your thinking over a short time.
Here’s proof.
In World War II, the United States had a shortage of translators. We were in desperate need of people who were fluent in German and Japanese–and we needed them fast!
So the War Department created a six-week-long total immersion program. During those six weeks, participants were not permitted to speak English at all. They spoke and listened to only the language they wanted to speak. By the end of the program, they were fluent!
See the connection? If you want to be fluent in the language of faith, you’ve got to do the same thing. Keep everything that isn’t faith out, and immerse yourself in a faith-filled atmosphere until it changes the way you think and speak.
Here are just a few of the differences you’ll see in your life:
You’ll find you won’t speak doubt as often (if at all!).
You’ll start believing for bigger and better in every area of your life.
You won’t tolerate sickness, debt or strife like you used to–not even a little!
You’ll have the endurance to go after dreams you’ve kept tucked away, and you won’t quit until you have them in your possession.
Are you interested in the quickest way to become a faith giant who wins every time? Here’s the answer: Total Immersion. It’s an all-intensive move into the Word of God without the influence of the status quo. It’s demanding. It requires sacrifice. And it will completely change your life. Here’s how you start.
1. Carve Out Some Time
“Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” -Matthew 6:33 (ESV)
Total immersion requires an investment of time. In a total immersion language program, the participants set aside four to six weeks to do nothing but attend the language school. They take time off work; they cancel other plans. This is the only thing they’re doing.
If you really want to get serious about this–to see results–you’ll need to carve out some time. Our suggestion is 30 days. You don’t necessarily need to take time off work (although that would be great), but you’ll need to adjust your schedule to make your focus the Word of God.
For example, if you usually go to lunch with friends during the workday, spend that time, instead, listening to or reading the Word of God. Carve out as much time as possible, and spend as many hours each day as possible in total immersion.
2. Watch Out for Poison
“I will set no worthless thing before my eyes.” -Psalm 101:3 (NASB)
Once you have your time carved out, the next thing you’ll do to become a faith giant is to take an inventory of what you consume in a day. What does this have to do with total immersion?
Imagine attending a pizza party where a large, cheesy pizza with all your favorite toppings is being prepared. It probably makes your mouth water just thinking about it! Your host sets the pizza before you, and you reach out to grab the biggest, cheesiest slice. As the cheese strings and the steam pipes up from the perfect bite, your host shares a bit more about the ingredients. “There’s just a little bit of rat poison in that pizza,” he says. “You probably won’t taste it, and it’s not enough to kill you. So, don’t worry about it. It’s just a little!”
What would you do?
Hopefully, you’d pass! Now, think about other areas of your life? Do you watch out for poison and avoid it like you would that pizza?
Proverbs 4:23 says, “Guard your heart.” Yet a lot of Christians view worldly influences just like the host of the pizza party. Just a little cussing on your favorite album. Just a little sexual content and violence in the movies you watch. Just a little fear, doubt and irreverence coming from your friends. It won’t hurt, will it? It’s just a little, and besides, I don’t do those things, you reason.
Just like you would toss away that ooey, gooey piece of pizza that looks and smells so good, that’s the way you’ve got to be with anything that can put “just a little” poison in your mind and spirit. The devil doesn’t need a big opening in your life. It’s the small foxes that spoil the vine, so all he needs is “just a little” area of compromise to get his ugly foot in the door.

Remember the language immersion program we talked about? They weren’t allowed to speak English–at all. If you want to experience the quickest way to become a faith giant and someone who wins every time, you’ve got to get rid of the things that speak against the Word of God in your life, especially during your initial time of total immersion.
Here’s what to remove altogether during the 30 days:
Movies
Secular television (sitcoms, news programs, etc.)
Music (other than worship)
Magazines and books (non-Christian)
Social gatherings with those who don’t speak the language of faith
Any other area of your life that may be sending you messages opposite of the Word of God.
Once the 30 days are over, consider evaluating which of these should come back at all. Anything that causes you to weaken in your faith isn’t worth its limited entertainment value.
3. Fill Up to Overflowing on the Word of God
“Faith comes by hearing…the Word of God.” -Romans 10:17 (MEV)
As you continue on your way to becoming a faith giant, your total immersion journey includes filling up to overflowing on the Word of God.
Before Kenneth Copeland became the powerhouse of faith he is today, he was hungry for truth and knew he wanted to have the kind of faith that got the same results as Oral Roberts.
Of that desire, Kenneth says, “I was traveling with Brother Roberts. I was ministering along with him and watching him use his faith. And I was astonished at the way he used his faith on purpose. He used his faith the way a mechanic uses a tool. And it caught my attention.”
That, in combination with his exposure to another faith giant, Kenneth E. Hagin, made Kenneth realize he needed to go into total immersion the same way people learn a foreign language if he wanted to reach that level of faith.
He didn’t have money to purchase ministry materials at the time, so he offered the title of his car as collateral until the money was there to pay for the tapes he secured from Kenneth Hagin’s ministry. He came home with an armload of tapes, set up his tape player and a chair in the garage, and shared his plans with Gloria.
He told her, “The minute I come home from school (Oral Roberts University), I’ll be in the garage. And if I’m not at the table when you and the kids get ready to eat, just forget me. I have to get this.”
He listened to the faith teaching tapes when he woke up. He listened to the Word when he got home from school. He listened when he went to bed and kept a tape playing all night. If he woke up in the middle of the night and heard the tape had ended, he’d get up, rewind it and start playing it again. He took the player in the bathroom to listen while he was shaving. He fed on the Word of God continually.
Total immersion.
Kenneth made a decision. If Kenneth E. Hagin mentioned the book of Romans, then he’d read the whole book of Romans. Any book Brother Hagin mentioned–Kenneth read the entire book.
What happened?
Kenneth says, “My faith skyrocketed.” Suddenly, things started happening. Gifts of the Spirit were manifesting. Miracles were taking place in every area of his and Gloria’s lives.
His prayers yielded results so much that his professors at ORU were coming and asking him to pray for them.
It was all a result of total immersion in the Word of God and filling up to overflowing.
You can do the same thing and get the same results as Kenneth Copeland. Set a goal for 30 days and treat your time the same way you would a total immersion foreign language program, by only listening to and speaking the language you want to learn. That language is faith!
Watch Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons teach you how total immersion will help you become debt free!
Here are some goals you can set for your 30-day period.
Download teachings from those who teach the full gospel. Listen to them as you work around the house or yard, as you cook, as you get ready in the morning, and as you drive. Leave them running quietly while you sleep. Keep the Word going in you nonstop!
Keep VICTORY™ running all day long in your home.
Set a Bible-reading goal for each day. Make it a high goal! Gloria Copeland once challenged herself to read all four Gospels and the book of Acts three times in 30 days. That would be a great place to start.
Purchase some faith books and devotionals to read whenever you have some downtime.
This is what total immersion looks like. And it’s the quickest way to become a faith giant who wins every battle, every time.
4. Find Your Faith Voice
“People will give account for every careless word they speak.” -Matthew 12:36 (ESV)
You’ve carved out the time, ejected the negative and imported the positive. In the meantime, for total immersion, focus on finding your faith voice. You learn a language by practicing out loud. When you first start speaking another language, you don’t necessarily feel confident in what you’re saying, and you may fumble around a bit. You’ll even have to stop and think or check the translation book before speaking.
The same is true while you’re finding your faith voice.
In a total immersion language school, you would not be allowed to speak English. Zero. All day long. You would only speak the language you were learning. So as you are in total immersion for learning the language of faith, you will only speak faith–no doubt, fear, negativity or anything else outside of the confines of faith is allowed. Ever.
Within four to six weeks, people find themselves fluent in the language they’re learning. If you can do it with a foreign language, you can do it with the language of faith. If you don’t know what to speak–say nothing until you can get to the Word of God and find out what you should be saying.
Talk faith all week long, all 30 days long. Talk prosperity, healing, deliverance, joy and peace. In doing so, you’ll find that total immersion will draw you very quickly out of your intellect and over into your spirit. When the 30 days are over, you’ll respond quickly and more powerfully than you ever have to in any and every situation–no matter how severe. You’ll be a faith giant who wins victory every time!
You’ll reach out and take the promises of God as easily as you’d pick an apple from a tree. You won’t hesitate to take God at His Word and stand as long as it takes to see a manifestation.
The best part about refusing to give up is that it expedites your miracle. Kenneth Copeland says, “When you’re ready to stand in faith forever, you won’t be there very long.” Hallelujah!
After 30 days of keeping the bad out, the good in, and speaking only faith, you’ll experience such a change, you’ll wish you would’ve known how quick and easy it is to become a faith giant who wins every battle years ago. And that miracle you’ve been believing for? Start taking steps to prepare for its arrival. It’s coming. Total immersion means Jesus is abiding in You and you in Him. And, according to John 15:7, that means your answer is a certainty.
Watch Gloria Copeland and George Pearsons discuss the power of total immersion.
Have you ever heard the expression, “Garbage in…garbage out”? Computer programmers have used the phrase to explain that the quality of data that’s programmed into a computer is the same quality of results you can expect to come out.
What’s the quality level you’re getting out of your life? Are you pleased? Satisfied? Disappointed? Not feeling quite there?
Ultimately, you are the programmer, or the prophet, of your own life. The prophet Jeremiah said, “[God’s] words were found and I ate them, and [God’s] words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart” (Jeremiah 15:16, NASB). Jeremiah “ate” God’s words; he put them in his mouth by speaking them and wonderful, powerful things happened.
God’s design is that you get to declare the end from the beginning (Isaiah 46:10). And while a lot of people may have downloaded low-quality data into your life by speaking negatively about you, you are the one who gets to decide what your life produces.
So, if you’re wanting more “good stuff” coming out of your life, start with reprogramming your mind by inputting these 25 Powerful Confessions To Speak Over Yourself in five key areas of your life.

From the historic Titanic to our modern megaships, it’s still amazing how small of a rudder it takes to turn a boat of any size. And no matter how “unsinkable” a vessel may be deemed, its rudder is the one thing that can navigate it through even the most treacherous of waters.
In the same way, your tongue can do much the same: It can land you into some deep messes or take you across uncharted seas and into safe harbors (James 3:1-12). 1 Peter 3:10 says, “If you want to enjoy life and see many days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.”

Overcome any giant in your life by applying these 4 Steps To Face the Giant in Your Life and conquer it today!
What giant are you facing in life? Is a mountain of debt screaming at you? A daunting diagnosis dominating your thoughts? An addiction driving you? A possible breakup threatening your marriage?
If anyone in the Bible knew about facing giants, it was David. David went to visit his brothers on the battlefield and found himself facing Goliath–an almost-10-foot-tall giant tormenting and intimidating the entire army of Israel with his daily taunts.
Life comes with giants the enemy uses to strike terror in your heart, flood your mind with worst-case scenarios, and stop you in your tracks. But, like David, you can overcome such giants by knowing your covenant with God and following the same 4 Steps To Face the Giant In Your Life that David did; you can defeat those giants every single time!
Step 1: Identify Your Giant
“David asked the soldiers standing nearby…. ‘Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?'” -1 Samuel 17:26
David identified Goliath as the giant in his life–the one who had come out against the armies of God. How do you identify your giant? Check your mind and thoughts. Where have your thoughts been going? Whatever you have been worrying about is typically where your giant lies. Are you thinking about the bills you can’t pay? A recent diagnosis from a doctor? A child you aren’t sure how to reach? Your thoughts expose your giant.
To identify your giant, it’s important to recognize what is and what is not of God. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). If something has come to your life to steal, kill or destroy, it is not of God, it’s a sickness or disease or an unexpected bill that you can’t pay. It could also be a fearful mindset, an insecurity that continues to hang around long after Jesus paid for you to be free of it.
When David called Goliath “this pagan Philistine,” he was exposing Goliath’s true identity, which was not of the house of Israel and not in covenant with God. Goliath came to torment the people of God and to steal from them. In identifying your giant, like David, call it what it is–something that has come to steal, kill or destroy.
Step 2: Jesus Defeated Your Giant
“When a lion or a bear comes to steal a lamb from the flock, I go after it with a club and rescue the lamb from its mouth. If the animal turns on me, I catch it by the jaw and club it to death. I have done this to both lions and bears, and I’ll do it to this pagan Philistine, too, for he has defied the armies of the living God!” -1 Samuel 17:34-36
David knew his covenant with God, and because of that, he experienced victory after victory in defeating the lions and bears that came to devour the sheep from his flock. David knew that God would help him, back him, support him. This is why he was able to defeat the giant Goliath. Knowing what belongs to you in your covenant with God is important to facing and defeating the giant in your life.
Watch Kenneth Copeland explain Your Covenant BenefitsHERE.
The Bible says that the devil prowls around like a lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). You can withstand him by being firm in the faith (1 Peter 5:9), knowing that Jesus defeated him. In fact, Jesus already defeated whatever giant is threatening you. Jesus defeated the principalities and powers, making a show of them openly (Colossians 2:15). Any giant that has come against you has already been defeated by Jesus, and you can take your stand in faith against it.
Step 3: Declare Words That Reinforce Your Giant’s Defeat
“The LORD who rescued me from the claws of the lion and the bear will rescue me from this Philistine!” -1 Samuel 17:37
David declared words that reinforced Goliath’s defeat. He declared the end from the beginning. He reminded himself that the God who rescued him many times before would rescue him again. You can do the same thing, reminding yourself of all the times God has come through for you.
Then while looking at your giant–your empty bank account, your painful body or a loved one who is making bad choices–you can declare the Word of God. You can declare the truth of your covenant with God and all that it provides. If you need finances, declare God’s Word that He meets all your needs in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). If you need healing, declare that by the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (1 Peter 2:24). If you are praying for a loved one, you can pray that God opens their eyes to the truth, and that they will turn from darkness to light (Acts 26:18). By declaring the truth of your covenant, you are reinforcing your giant’s defeat.
“You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven’s Armies–the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. Today the LORD will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head. And then I will give the dead bodies of your men to the birds and wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel!” -1 Samuel 17:45-46
Never run toward your giant with your mouth closed! Instead, speak the Word of God and keep speaking it. That’s how you activate God’s covenant within you. It’s how you put it to work in your life. Mark 11:23 says, “I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.”
This is what David did the day he faced his giant. He spoke covenant words directly to his giant–covenant words that God honored and executed on David’s behalf.

Whatever giant you are facing, you can overcome it by activating these 4 Steps To Face the Giant in Your Life. Instead of taking down lions and bears like David did, you are taking your stand of faith in the finished work of Jesus and what He has accomplished for you. As you do, watch God go to work on your behalf extinguishing every giant arrayed against you.
This KCM Partner had a career in the Philippines, when God gave her an impossible dream for the other side of the world. She implemented biblical principles she learned from Kenneth Copeland about the power of her words, and saw that dream come true!
Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Elizabeth Sotomil is a dentist by profession. After being born again in 1985, a friend loaned her a tape by Kenneth Copeland about the Integrity of God’s Word. That tape introduced Dr. Sotomil to KCM, and she felt led to become a Partner.
Around that same time, the Lord gave her a dream: She saw herself treating Caucasian patients. This was baffling to her, because she was still in the Philippines practicing dentistry, and all her patients were local Filipinos. She asked the Lord: “What does this dream mean?”
All throughout the Bible, God gave people visions and dreams…to give them direction, to give them answers, to get them on course and into His will. Discover more here: Faith for Your Vision.
An Impossible Dream?
Many years passed, but in 2000 Dr. Sotomil had the opportunity to tour the United States with her family. Her cousin was a dentist in California. He suggested that she take the board exams, enabling her to become a practicing dentist in the U.S. Dr. Sotomil thought, Why not? After all, she had had that dream about treating Caucasian patients all those years before…maybe it wasn’t as impossible as she thought!
Dr. Sotomil returned to the United States three different times to take the various levels of the examination process: in 2001, 2002 and 2006. She passed all three on her first attempts!
Dr. Sotomil credits her success to the principles she learned from Kenneth Copeland, about speaking the Word and the spirit of faith. When thoughts of failure would come to her mind, she would say, “I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). I will pass this exam with flying colors,” and that is exactly what she did!
Everything she needed during the examination process was all provided for her–even the $5,000 necessary to take the exams. Because the Lord provided the money, she didn’t need to borrow a single dime. “Through the spirit of faith and the spirit of increase that is upon KCM, that is pouring over me too,” stated Dr. Sotomil.
It Could Happen For You
It’s been nearly 30 years since the Lord gave Dr. Sotomil the dream of treating Caucasian patients. Now she is living that dream, because she is practicing dentistry in California.
Said Dr. Sotomil, “Imagine, I started owning my practice when I was 63 years old. But in the Lord, nobody is too young and nobody is too old. If God has put that dream in you, that desire will be so strong in you until you bring it into fruition.” Owning her practice gives her the liberty to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with her patients, for which she is very grateful. She can share the same principles of faith she learned from Kenneth Copeland with her patients!
The Spirit of Increase
Although Dr. Sotomil went into debt when she purchased her practice, she implemented the same principles of faith that helped her pass her board exams. “Now I am debt free,” she stated with a big smile on her face, “so, thank God!”
She went on to say, “The spirit of increase that is upon KCM…being out of debt, is upon the Partners, too.”
Feeling overwhelmed by debt? Check out these resources to help you apply principles from the Word of God:
Partnership: The Spirit of Increase, Faith and Generosity
Dr. Sotomil finds it an honor and privilege to be a Partner with KCM. “Because everything that is in them gets on you. It’s impossible to partner with Kenneth Copeland and not have the spirit of increase, the spirit of faith and the spirit of generosity,” she stated gratefully.
Dr. Sotomil credits KCM with how she learned about the power of your words, how to change your situation, and how to overcome every challenge that she faced to become a licensed dentist in the United States. With a large smile she stated happily, “I learned it through Kenneth Copeland.”
Learn how to give and receive your two greatest needs–love and affection–by demonstrating 7 Practical Ways To Demonstrate Love.
Have you ever run out of fuel in your car? If you have, you’ve probably never forgotten it, especially if complete strangers had to help you push your car out of traffic! The consequences of an empty tank can mean calling someone for help, walking to the nearest gas station for a gallon of gas, or any other number of inconveniences. If you’ve experienced this, you know that seeing the fuel gauge resting on empty is never good!
In much the same way, there’s a spiritual, God-shaped tank on the inside of you designed with a gauge that begs to stay full, but it doesn’t run on gas. It runs on love and affection–your two greatest needs. This is the life Jesus came to give you: “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10, AMPC).
Love is what makes you and the people you love feel wanted, needed and accepted. It’s what gives you and them a sense of belonging. To help you thrive in giving and receiving love, consider these 7 Practical Ways To Demonstrate Love, and watch love make all the difference in your relationships.
1. Communicate Love
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them…. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you/” -Ephesians 4:29-32
When you communicate with others, choose your words wisely. God wants you to speak words of life–words that build up, not tear down. He wants you to be friendly and nonthreatening. You could be well-meaning in what you say, but if it’s not said in love, it can come across as hard and harsh. This could impact your relationship with the other person. Another way to communicate love to someone is to give them your full attention and actively listen to them. This may require stopping what you’re doing, prioritizing the relationship over your favorite show or app, and looking the other person in the eye. These demonstrations of heartfelt communication nurture your relationships and produce the kind of close, loving, tenderhearted relationships you need and want. This is how you communicate love.

2. Show Appreciation
“Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” -Romans 12:10
Love begins at home with your closest relationships, so thank the people in your life consistently for all they do. Express your gratitude and show it, not just on holidays, birthdays or other special occasions. Regularly send flowers, give gifts and write love notes. Leave sweet notes in your children’s lunches or backpacks. Hide them in your spouse’s luggage before a trip. You can even leave a note in the lid of the washing machine that says, “I see all you do for me. Thank you.” When you take the time to show appreciation, you’ll find that you end up on the receiving end of appreciation too.
3. Speak Affirming Words
“So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.” -1 Thessalonians 5:11
How do you speak affirming words to people? Look for opportunities to verbally acknowledge others’ talents, skills and interests. For example, more than likely, you work with a variety of personalities in your job. Those personalities are meant to complement each other; each person has strengths that can be acknowledged and affirmed. In your home with your spouse, with your children, speak affirming words to them, telling them, “You can do it!” Oftentimes, people grow up without these affirming words, so even the slightest notice you take in another person will have far-reaching results. Speak affirming words to people by acknowledging every good thing that is in them. By doing so you are demonstrating love to them (Philemon 6, NKJV).
4. Actively Participate
“And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.” -Titus 2:7-8
When it comes to your relationships, get your head in the game and actively participate. There will always be distractions and other priorities that take you away from the most important relationships in your life. Choose instead to find ways to be involved and engaged with the people in your life. They won’t be here forever. You will never regret the choice you make to take part in the lives of those around you. With your children, take part in playing board games, attending their sports games, or even coaching. Likewise, equally share in nurturing your marriage by spending quality time with your spouse, changing the diapers, helping kids with their homework, and chaperoning the school outing. By showing up for your loved ones, you are practically showering them with love; they will never forget you were there for them, cheering them on in life.
5. Cooperate and Collaborate
“Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer.” -Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
God connects you with others to be a team, whether at work, or in a marriage or family; and every successful team must cooperate and collaborate. If you are married, you can attest to the fact there are many times you see something from a different point of view than your spouse. It takes communication and collaboration to understand where the other person is coming from, and to find harmony. Similarly, on a work team, when each part is cooperating and doing their job successfully, the whole team functions well. This is also how it is with the Body of Christ (Ephesians 4:1-16). When you look for ways to cooperate and collaborate with others, you are meeting the needs of love and belonging in others.
If you are struggling with cooperation and collaboration in your marriage, God has encouragement for you. Click here to read 4 Truths About Faith That Can Save Your Marriage.
6. Bring Stability
“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.” -Matthew 7:24-25
Every household needs stability, and that stability comes from the adults in the household who provide that strong foundation. An inconsistent household will feel shaky and unsafe. Where are areas you can provide consistency, and thus stability, in your home? First, your children need to see that you are committed to God. They need to feel safe and secure in your relationship with Him. Secondly, they need to see you demonstrate your faith by going to church, giving to others, and treating others with kindness. Thirdly, they need to know you are there for them, no matter what. When they come to you with questions, problems or insecurities, they need to know that you will listen and not judge them. They need to know you will provide solutions for them that will bring stability and peace in their life.
7. Relax and Play Together
“It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones.” -Psalm 127:2
Every life and every household needs a sense of balance between work, play, rest and quality time together. God wants you to enjoy each other’s company, and that means an element of relaxation and play in your weekly routines. He wants you to take time to slow down. Taking time for a sabbath–a rest–in your week is part of this. Weekend getaways are part of this. Vacations are part of this. Each one is an installment in taking care of your body and relationships. Even God rested on the seventh day of Creation (Genesis 2:2-3). If God needed to rest, so do you. A healthy relationship–be it a marriage, a dating relationship, a parent-child connection, a friendship or collaborating with colleagues–requires relaxation and play time. It requires love and affection.

Start activating these 7 Practical Ways To Demonstrate Lovetoday to express the full Love of God to everyone around you. Love is what makes people feel wanted, needed and accepted; everyone needs to feel they belong. Knowing how to love is critical to being able to initiate, nurture and maintain the relationships God has given you. Do your part to keep the love tanks of everyone you love and interact with full, because no one can thrive on empty.
Flowers and chocolates are favorite gifts in February. They’re popular ways of saying, “I love you,” and showing affection. But over time, flowers fade and chocolates get eaten.
You can go ahead and buy the flowers and chocolates; in fact, you probably should. But if you really want to keep love alive in your marriage, or with your children, your friends or your co-workers–then love them all year long with the love of God. When you’re born again, His love fills your heart, and as you develop it and practice it in your life, particularly with the ones you love, your relationships flourish (Romans 5:5).
To help you walk in greater love in all your relationships, begin saying these 20 Confessions for Better Relationships from the Word of God throughout your day.

Remember the words, “Will you be mine?” They were on most valentine cards you exchanged with your childhood friends along with boxes for you to check yes, no or maybe. Receiving a valentine as a child made you feel loved.
Isn’t that what you still want to feel today? You want to be loved–and you are. God, who is Love, loves you–unconditionally (1 John 4:10). What’s more, His love is perfect (1 John 4:17). But when it comes to living out this same unconditional and perfect love with others, nowhere will you find yourself more challenged than with those closest to you–your spouse, your children, your friends or your co-workers. And yet, love is essential to the success of your relationships.
If you want to grow closer to your spouse and your children, if you want to get along better with your friends and co-workers, study these 10 Strategies for Better Relationshipsand start putting them to work in your life.
1. Be patient and kind.
“Love endures long and is patient and kind.” -1 Corinthians 13:4 (AMPC)
It’s so easy to allow impatience to become a habit, but you can choose to yield to the love that’s on the inside of you. When you’re waiting in line at the grocery store or the gas station, when you’re waiting to take your turn while playing a board game, or any other time you are waiting, you can choose to allow the love of God on the inside of you to rise up. Responding to that love will enable you to be able to endure long with someone and show them kindness.
2. Be happy for others and walk in humility.
“Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.” -1 Corinthians 13:4-5
To be jealous is to have a feeling of discontent and ill will because of another’s advantages, possessions or success; to be happy for someone else requires humility. When you are jealous of another person’s possessions or success, you are comparing yourself to that person. Second Corinthians 10:12 says, “When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise” (NIV). You can be happy for others when they get a new car, a new house or a new outfit, because instead of comparing your life to theirs, you can humble yourself before God and ask Him for what you desire, knowing you will receive because your heart is right–full of the love of God for others.
Do you feel that everyone else seems blessed but you? Watch here to find out what to do.
3. Defer to others and their preferences.
“[Love] does not demand its own way.” -1 Corinthians 13:5
A key ingredient of love is self-sacrifice. It’s self-giving, not self-seeking. With every decision, you have the power to sacrifice or not. You can choose to walk in love or selfishness. The next time you have the opportunity to let someone have their way, go first in line, or choose where to go for dinner, defer to them and their preference. Sacrifice what you want for what they want. This bold move will surprise them and serve as an example to them of the love of God at work in you.
4. Leave the past in the past.
“[Love] is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.” -1 Corinthians 13:5
Think about the last time you got into a disagreement with someone. Was that disagreement based on something that happened in the past? Oftentimes, the enemy will bait you with an opportunity for strife–to fight for your right to be right–and he’ll do it through the people you love. The next time such a moment arises and you’re tempted to join in the fight, bringing up the past and letting it fuel you, yield instead to the love of God. Rather than keeping a record of wrongs, practice keeping a record of rights–a list of all the good things someone does in your life.
5. Stand up for injustice and rejoice in truth.
“[Love] does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.” -1 Corinthians 13:6
Love rejoices in truth; and when you speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), you are becoming more like Jesus. He spoke the truth in love. He stood up for injustice when people were oppressed and downtrodden. Your perspective regarding injustice may be influenced by the world, by social media, by fake news or by your well-meaning circle of friends. However, the only perspective God wants you to have is His–and His perspective is found in the example of Jesus. The next time you see injustice and want to turn your head away, ask God for wisdom. He will show you what to do so that right and truth prevail (1 Corinthians 13:6, AMPC).
6. Be enduring, hopeful, steadfast and loyal.
“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” -1 Corinthians 13:7
What circumstances are you facing? There is no greater power to get you through difficult or painful times than love–the love of God. The love of God you experience personally–by choosing to spend quality time with Him–and the love of God you experience through others, will keep you going in the worst of circumstances. Instead of drawing back and being alone, reach out to other like-minded believers and fellowship with them. Your communion with them will strengthen you and enable you to stay steadfast and loyal in your fight of faith.
7. Always think the best of others.
“Love…is ever ready to believe the best of every person….” –1 Corinthians 13:7 (AMPC)
Imagine how many relational conflicts would end before they ever began if people believed the best of every person first. The enemy will always want to get strife in your life and relationships, because it gives him place. But strife is dangerous. It’s defined as “vigorous or bitter conflict, discord or antagonism, quarreling or clashing, competition or rivalry.” In other words, you are yielding to strife anytime you’re against someone rather than being for them. Learn to think the best of others first by noticing the good qualities of each person you encounter.
Some people can be harder to love than others. To learn more about how to love those who seem unlovable, click HERE.
8. Be tenderhearted and forgiving.
“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” -Ephesians 4:32
A person who is kind and tenderhearted has learned that there are many sides to an issue; there are many perspectives to consider. When you feel wounded in a situation, you might have misunderstood what was said, you might misunderstand the viewpoint of the other person, or you might be ignorant of some facts regarding the issue. Nevertheless, choosing to forgive someone when they did you wrong or you perceived they did you wrong keeps you in position to receive forgiveness from God (Matthew 6:14-15).
9. Really love people with genuine affection and honor.
“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good. Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” -Romans 12:9-10
Romans 12:9-10 in The Message says, “Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it. Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good. Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.” Being real and transparent with God is paramount to your growth in walking in love in authenticity.
You may find it difficult to practice some of these Bible verses. The good news is that you can ask God for help. Ask Him to help you love with genuine affection and practice playing second fiddle.
10. Make unity and peace a priority.
“Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.” -Ephesians 4:3
Anytime you’re out of unity, out of agreement, and perhaps in strife, you’re wrong–even if you’re right. To keep walking in love, do all you can to stay in unity and peace. Talk it out. Work it out. And get back to walking in love. By doing so, you are treating each member of the Body of Christ as family. God loves when you remember that you are one Body, one family, and each one is in need of the others (1 Corinthians 12:12).
By putting these 10 Strategies for Better Relationships to work in your life, you’ll be walking in love; and your relationships will be stronger and healthier than ever. Jesus said, “Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples” (John 13:34-35). Rather than feeling loved from receiving a valentine given to you in secret, the love you receive from God will be on full display for the world to see in how you treat others.
Experience God’s highest and best for your life by implementing 24 New Habits for a New You In 2025!
With a new year, many people like to establish new habits that focus on health, finances or relationships. These are good things to focus on, but nothing will create lasting change in your life like changing your walk with the Lord. Changing how you live your life–lining your life up with what the Word of God says–will produce the kind of lasting results you desire in your health, your finances and your relationships. Let the truth of the Word of God minister to you and change you as you put into practice 24 New Habits for a New You In 2025!
New Habit 1: Place Your Everyday Life Before God
“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life–your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life–and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.” -Romans 12:1 (MSG)
Dedicating your life to the Lord is not a one-time thing; it happens every single day. One of the best new habits for a new you in 2025 is to place your everyday life before God as an offering. This is not hard to do at all. When you wake up in the morning, simply dedicate your day to the Lord–purpose in your heart to walk in His ways; to follow His plans, purposes and pursuits; and to be led by the Holy Spirit in every decision you make.
New Habit 2: Don’t Fit Into Your Culture
“Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking.” -Romans 12:2 (MSG)
In today’s world, it shouldn’t surprise you when you don’t fit into your culture. As a believer, you are not supposed to live like the world. You are supposed to look different, act different and live your life in a way that draws those in the world to Jesus. Determine to be intentional about every choice you make. With each action, ask yourself, “Does this bring glory to God?”
New Habit 3: Fix Your Attention on God
“Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.” -Romans 12:2 (MSG)
God wants the best for you; He wants to develop godly character in you. As you fix your attention on God, He will lead and guide you to what produces spiritual maturity in you, so you can impact the world around you. For instance, when faced with a situation at work or home that requires a decision, you can choose to stop for a moment and seek God for guidance. Watch Gloria Copeland and Pastor George Pearsons teach about the seven habits of strong believers below.
New Habit 4: Accurately Understand Yourself
“It’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.” -Romans 12:3 (MSG)
To understand yourself accurately is to recognize who God is and what He has done for you. By acknowledging God has saved, healed and delivered you, you remind yourself that God works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure, satisfaction and delight (Philippians 2:13, AMPC). As you go about your day, whatever you do–cook, shop, meet with business partners, travel, eat–focus on Him and His working in you, not on what you do for Him.
New Habit 5: Be Who You Were Made To Be
“So since we find ourselves fashioned into all these excellently formed and marvelously functioning parts in Christ’s body, let’s just go ahead and be what we were made to be, without enviously or pridefully comparing ourselves with each other, or trying to be something we aren’t.” -Romans 12:5 (MSG)
As you develop new habits for a new you in 2025, ask yourself, are you being who you were made to be? Each person is fit together in the Body of Christ exactly as God planned it. To compare yourself with someone else is not wise (2 Corinthians 10:12, NKJV). You are uniquely and wonderfully made for the specific purpose God has for you (Psalm 139:13-15, AMPC). Take some time to reflect on your identity in Christ and determine to never compare yourself to another person again!
New Habit 6: Really Love People
“Love from the center of who you are; don’t fake it.” -Romans 12:9 (MSG)
The word love is thrown around very loosely in the world. People love their phones, their homes and their favorite foods. The word love, however, should only be used in regard to people. Why? Because God loves people. You can like your phone, home or favorite food, but you should love people. Tangible items are replaceable but people are not. There is only one of you and one of every other person in the world. Determine to treat people the way God treats them–with value and love.
New Habit 7: Run From Evil
“Run for dear life from evil; hold on for dear life to good.” -Romans 12:9 (MSG)
When you recognize something as evil, run from it. Instead, hold on tightly to what is good, righteous and godly. Running from evil and holding on to what is good may not be popular with others, but it is pleasing to God. This could be as dramatic as cutting off a relationship with people who have ungodly behavior, or as minimal as changing the channel when an inappropriate scene comes on television. Get in the habit of taking action to run from evil whenever you recognize it.
New Habit 8: Honor Others Above Yourself
“Be good friends who love deeply; practice playing second fiddle.” -Romans 12:10 (MSG)
What does it mean to “play second fiddle”? It means your position is less important than someone else’s in something you are doing together. As part of the Body of Christ, you work together with others–in your home, on the job and in your church. When you choose to “play second fiddle,” you decide in your heart and mind that what you are doing is less important; you decide to confer value and significance on the other person. Look for ways in your life to “play second fiddle.”
New Habit 9: Don’t Burn Out
“Don’t burn out.” -Romans 12:11 (MSG)
Burnout happens when you are focused on doing things God never told you to do. To spend time on activities or agendas that are not part of God’s plan for your life will create burnout because you are trying to do it in your own strength. As you’re developing new habits for a new you in 2025, ask God for wisdom as to what to lay aside and what to adjust in your life, so you don’t burn out.
New Habit 10: Keep Yourself Enthusiastic
“Keep yourselves fueled and aflame.” -Romans 12:11 (MSG)
To be enthusiastic about the things of God takes time spent in God’s Word and in His Presence. The more time you spend with Him, the more you will be fervent about the things important to Him. Determine to keep yourself enthusiastic by setting aside daily time to spend with Him.
New Habit 11: Be Cheerfully Expectant
“Be alert servants of the Master, cheerfully expectant.” -Romans 12:12 (MSG)
What are you expecting? Expectations of good make you a cheerful person. Faith begins where the will of God is known. Once you know the will of God for you in 2025, exercise your faith, believing God for His will to be accomplished in your life and the lives of those around you.
Watch Kenneth Copeland explain how faith begins where the will of God is known HERE.
New Habit 12: Don’t Quit In Hard Times
“Don’t quit in hard times.” -Romans 12:12 (MSG)
Everyone experiences difficult times. Everyone faces challenges. When hard times come, there is a tendency to want to quit or move or give up. Stay steady, knowing God is working on your behalf; He fights for you (Exodus 14:14). The Rev. Kenneth E. Hagin said, “My enduring in the hard places in obedience to God was my foundation for success in ministry.” Your enduring in those hard places in obedience to God is your foundation for success in your life too!
New Habit 13: Pray More
“Pray all the harder.” -Romans 12:12 (MSG)
The darker the world gets, the more people need the revelation of the light of Jesus Christ in their lives. God has already done everything He is going to do about saving people by sending Jesus. Partner with God in prayer in 2025 asking Him to open the eyes of others that they would see Him clearly and turn from their wicked ways.
New Habit 14: Help Needy Christians
“Help needy Christians; be inventive in hospitality.” -Romans 12:13 (MSG)
There are needy Christians all around you–in your job, at your church, at the grocery store. Look for opportunities to be a blessing and show hospitality. Think about how you can meet a need in someone’s life. By developing this habit, you are sowing good seeds of blessing in others’ lives and at the right time, when you need it, you will reap a harvest in your own life.
New Habit 15: Bless Your Enemies
“Bless your enemies; no cursing under your breath.” -Romans 12:14 (MSG)
When someone hurts you, it can be difficult to show them kindness. You may want to retaliate. Take a moment to get with God and ask Him to help you see correctly. You will notice that you have been forgiven much, and you can offer the same forgiveness to the person who hurt you.
New Habit 16: Stand by Your Friends
“Laugh with your happy friends when they’re happy; share tears when they’re down.” -Romans 12:15 (MSG)
Being able to empathize with someone is being a good friend. Be a new you in 2025 by celebrating with those who have reason to celebrate, and cry with those who are experiencing sorrow. Jesus is our example, and He was consistently moved with compassion (Matthew 9:36; Mark 1:41).
New Habit 17: Work Happily Together
“Get along with each other.” -Romans 12:16 (MSG)
The Living Bible says, “Work happily together.” When you work in a particular place, you are working with many different personalities. It can be easy to become irritated with one another. Choose instead to find the good qualities of each person and focus on those.
New Habit 18: Don’t Be Arrogant
“Don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies.” -Romans 12:16 (MSG)
No one like to be around someone who is arrogant, because that person is unfriendly. On the other hand, have you ever met people whom everyone likes to be around? Oftentimes, they have mastered the skill of not thinking of themselves more than they should. They have made friends with everyone. If this is something you struggle with, seek out books and resources in 2025 that will help you become a better friend of everyone, including nobodies.
“Don’t be the great somebody.” -Romans 12:16 (MSG)
No one is always right. The truths of the Bible require revelation from the Holy Spirit. Everyone has more light in one area and less light in another area. Recognize that you don’t know everything and choose to remain teachable. When you meet someone who has a lot of knowledge in a certain area, ask them questions so you can learn from them.
New Habit 20: Don’t Get Back at People
“Don’t hit back.” -Romans 12:17 (MSG)
When someone lashes out at you, you may want to lash back. God has a better way of dealing with those who do you wrong. He said to pray for those who mistreat you (Luke 6:27-28). This may be difficult to do at first if you’ve never done it before, but with the help of the Holy Spirit you can pray for those who wrong you by simply asking God to bless them.
New Habit 21: Find the Good In Others
“Discover beauty in everyone.” -Romans 12:17 (MSG)
Begin the habit of looking for the good qualities in others in 2025. There are beautiful qualities in every person. A minister once shared a story about a man in his town who terrorized everyone; after he died, everyone was glad! When asked about this man, a minister replied, “He had nice eyes.” He looked for the good in every person, even those who seemed to be the most unlovely.
New Habit 22: Get Along With Everybody
“If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody.” -Romans 12:18 (MSG)
Have you ever met someone who annoyed you? No doubt you found it difficult to get along with them. It can be easy to justify your actions toward them by saying, “They don’t think like I do. They have it all wrong. I can’t talk to them about anything!” This may be true; however, as a believer, you are encouraged to do your best to get along with everybody. Find ways to connect with other people. Find topics you see eye to eye on and focus on those. By building this habit, you are fostering peace with others.
New Habit 23: Don’t Get Even
“Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. ‘I’ll do the judging,’ says God. ‘I’ll take care of it.'” -Romans 12:19 (MSG)
You don’t need to get even with another person when they say or do something against you. God is the One who sets one person up and puts another person down (Psalm 75:7, AMPC). This means that He promotes one person over another. Why is this? Because He sees the heart of every person–every heart lies open before Him. Trust Him to take care of you, to put you in the places and positions you need to be in, and leave the judging up to Him.
New Habit 24: Overcome Evil With Good
“Don’t let evil get the best of you; get the best of evil by doing good.” -Romans 12:21 (MSG)
Are you looking for opportunities to do good? You should be! Where can you do good for someone else? When you focus on doing good, you are walking out the will of God. Jesus “went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him” (Acts 10:38). God is with you as you do good, bringing healing to others. If you ask Him, He will give you ideas and promptings to do good for others.
Implementing each of the 24 New Habits for a New You In 2025 aligns your will with the will of God, which is the Word of God, and this is how lasting change occurs. Gloria Copeland says, “If you want to see a change in your life, there first must be a change in you.” The changes in you that occur from these 24 daily habits will impact your health, finances, relationships and every other area of your life!
Because of what Jesus did for you, you can exercise authority over the devil by declaring 4 Ways the Name of Jesus Protects Your Family.
If you were ever bullied as a child, you looked around for someone to protect you. When you found someone–a teacher, parent or guardian–you ran to them for protection. That person stepped in to take care of the bully for you.
This is exactly what Jesus has done for you. Jesus stepped in by coming to this earth, dying on the cross, and being raised from the dead to forever rescue you from the biggest bully there is–the devil. Jesus said, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you” (Luke 10:18-19). Because of what Jesus did for you, you can exercise authority over the devil by declaring 4 Ways the Name of Jesus Protects Your Family.
1. The Name of Jesus Saves Your Family
“They replied, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, along with everyone in your household.’ And they shared the word of the Lord with him and with all who lived in his household.” -Acts 16:31-32
“There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” -Acts 4:12
When you believe on the Name of Jesus to be saved, you open the door for God to minister salvation to your whole family. Your stand of faith, your righteousness in Him, gives you access to God in the Name of Jesus to pray for your family. God’s desire is that all men are saved (1 Timothy 2:3-5).
You can take your stand of faith, believing God to open the eyes of your loved ones. Believe that they will turn from any darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God (Acts 26:18). Don’t give up, because the “earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]” (James 5:16, AMPC). As you boldly declare how the Name of Jesus saves your family, watch God go to work in their lives.
“He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.” -Psalm 107:20
Healing has always been God’s will–for you, for your family, for everyone. When Jesus walked this earth, He was preaching, teaching, doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil (Acts 10:38).
There are a number of instances in the Gospels where Jesus healed family members. Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law while visiting their home (Mark 1:29-31). A royal official begged Jesus to heal his son (John 4:43-54). Jairus, a synagogue leader, pleaded with Jesus to heal his dying daughter (Matthew 9:18-26). Jesus raised a widow’s son from the dead (Luke 7:11-17). Jesus healed a man’s son who had an unclean spirit (Mark 9:14-29).
Just as Jesus ministered to the family members of those who asked Him, you can invite Jesus into the lives of your family members by speaking healing over them; declare that the Name of Jesus heals your family.
“The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.” -Proverbs 18:10
You can run to the Lord using His Name as a strong fortress for you and your family.
Keep in mind that the Name of Jesus is not an incantation that is repeated like the sons of Sceva did; they discovered quickly that would not work because they had no relationship with God (Acts 19). The powerful Name of Jesus is given to every believer to use as a reminder to the devil of what Jesus did for them at the cross, burial and resurrection.
Jesus told His disciples, “I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning! Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you. But don’t rejoice because evil spirits obey you; rejoice because your names are registered in heaven” (Luke 10:18-20).
Whatever situation you find yourself in, wherever you and your family need deliverance, you can run to the Lord, calling on the Name of Jesus; He will rescue you! You will rejoice as you see the Name of Jesus deliver your family again and again.

4. The Name of Jesus Gives Your Family Peace
Jesus said, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33
The Name of Jesus means peace. Isaiah 9:6 says, “For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
Jesus brings peace in the midst of storms. When Jesus and His disciples were crossing the Sea of Galilee, “suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, ‘Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!’ Jesus responded, ‘Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!’ Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. The disciples were amazed. ‘Who is this man?’ they asked. ‘Even the winds and waves obey him!'” (Matthew 8:24-27).
Just as Jesus brought peace to the storm and to the disciples, He can bring peace into the stormy situations in your life. The next time your heart is racing and anxious thoughts begin to consume you, declare the Name of Jesus over the situation and allow the Lord to give you and your family peace.
Jesus prayed for you, that His Name would protect you, that you would know not only the 4 Ways the Name of Jesus Protects Your Family, but all the ways He protects you. He said, “Holy Father, you have given me your name; now protect them by the power of your name so that they will be united just as we are. During my time here, I protected them by the power of the name you gave me. I guarded them so that not one was lost, except the one headed for destruction, as the Scriptures foretold” (John 17:11-12). Every time you use the Name of Jesus, you enforce the devil’s defeat and give that bully no room in your family’s life!
What are some Christmas traditions your family enjoys? Many families have a favorite Christmas movie they watch together. And many Christmas movies highlight the joys of the season–delicious holiday cookies and pies, gift-giving and special events focused on the birth of our Savior–as well as harmonious families that never disagree.
The reality is that at Christmas you often see family members you haven’t seen in a while, and although that can be special, it can also be stressful. Often, the family discussions can bring disagreement. Before you let your own frustration get the best of you, consider these 10 Confessions for Peace In Your Family that you can speak over your family members, giving God access to work mightily in their lives.
For salvation: I pray for ______ and ask You, God, to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to the power of God (Acts 26:18). I ask You to send laborers across their path, just the right laborers they will listen to (Matthew 9:37-38). Thank You, Lord, that my whole household and I are saved (Acts 16:31).
For spiritual growth: In the Name of Jesus, I pray for ______ and ask You, God, the glorious Father our Lord Jesus Christ, to give them spiritual wisdom and insight so that they might grow in their knowledge of You. I pray that their heart will be flooded with light so that they can understand the hope You have given to those You called. I also pray they will understand the incredible greatness of Your power (Ephesians 1:17-19).
For God’s love: ______ is strengthened with might in their inner man through God’s Spirit. Christ makes His home in their heart and their roots grow down into God’s love. May they have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high and how deep God’s love is. May they experience the love of Christ so they are made complete with all the fullness of life and power from God (Ephesians 3:16-19).
For overcoming difficulties: No weapon formed against ______ shall prosper. Every tongue that rises against them in judgment they shall condemn. Their righteousness is of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17, NKJV).
For overcoming lack: ______ delights in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do (Psalm 1:1-3).
For overcoming fear: For God has not given ______ a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline (2 Timothy 1:7). They have the mind of Christ and hold the thoughts, feelings and purposes of His heart (1 Corinthians 2:16, AMPC).
For overcoming anxious thoughts: I pray for ______, that they are not anxious about anything, but in prayer and with thanksgiving, they make known their requests to the Lord, and the peace that surpasses all understanding guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. They think on what is true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and worthy of praise (Philippians 4:6-8).
For favor: For You, Lord, bless the righteous. You surround ______ with favor as with a shield (Psalm 5:12, NKJV). You give them favor in all their relationships. They have favor with God and man (Luke 2:52).
For protection: ______ dwells in the secret place of the Most High. They hide in the shadow of the Almighty. God is their refuge and fortress; He is their God in whom they trust. A thousand may fall at their side, and 10,000 at their right hand, but it shall not come near them (Psalm 91).
For trusting God: ______ trusts in the Lord with all their heart and leans not on their own understanding. In all their ways they acknowledge God, and He directs their steps (Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV). God’s goodness and mercy follow them all the days of their life, and they dwell in the house of the Lord forever (Psalm 23:6, NKJV).

Strengthen your prayer life by learning How To Pray Powerful Prayers Using the Name of Jesus.
Have you ever prayed and then wondered if your prayers are being effective? You might feel as if your prayers are just “hitting the ceiling,” meaning you feel as if they aren’t getting to God. There could be many reasons for this, including unforgiveness or the devil lying to you. But another reason could be that you simply don’t know how to pray powerful prayers according to the Word of God.
God took care of everything and put together a plan for you to overcome any adversity in this life, by sending Jesus to the earth, then giving you His Name. God elevated Jesus “to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-11).
The Name of Jesus is above every other name in heaven and on earth; that covers everything in your life! What is the “name” of that adversity in your life? Write it down on a piece of paper. Whatever difficulty you are facing, you can apply the following 3 steps and learn How To Pray Powerful Prayers Using the Name of Jesus.
Step 1: Find out what the Name of Jesus will do.
“Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole.” -Acts 4:10 (NKJV)
The Name of Jesus will make you whole–in every area of your life. For you to exercise faith in the Name of Jesus and pray powerful prayers, you have to find out what the Name of Jesus will do. If you are saved, you already know that the Name of Jesus will save you. Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.”
What else does the Name of Jesus do? The Name of Jesus will heal you. Acts 3:16 tells us that “faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.” You can exercise faith in the Name of Jesus for your healing.
The Name of Jesus will protect you. Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the [consistently] righteous man [upright and in right standing with God] runs into it and is safe, high [above evil] and strong” (AMPC). You can run to the Name of Jesus for protection against evil. In addition to salvation, healing and protection, the Name of Jesus will also baptize you, give you authority, answer you, deliver you, give you boldness and help you in every area of your life. As you find out what the Name of Jesus will do, you can pray powerful prayers that will avail much (James 5:16).

Step 2: Believe on the Name of Jesus
“Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed–and you know how crippled he was before.” -Acts 3:16
Once you have identified what the Name of Jesus will do, you can believe on the Name of Jesus when you pray, just like you did when you were saved. The Apostle John, writing to believers, said, “And this is his commandment: We must believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as he commanded us” (1 John 3:23). Believing on the Name of Jesus is not a one-time thing at the moment of salvation; believing on the Name of Jesus happens every day in a believer’s prayer life.
Your prayer life should include faith in the Name of Jesus. After all, powerful prayers aren’t prayed by wishing and hoping. Powerful prayers are prayed in faith, believing on the Name of Jesus to change the situation to line up with the Word of God.
“Peter said, ‘I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!'” -Acts 3:6
Paul spoke the Name of Jesus to a lame man and he went away walking, leaping and praising God (Acts 3:8)! As a believer, you have access to speak the Name of Jesus over your life; God gave you that access and privilege when you were born again. Speaking the Name of Jesus will make tremendous power available in your prayers.
To understand the rights and privileges you have as a believer to speak the Name of Jesus, it’s important to look at an example of those who tried to use the Name of Jesus but had no relationship with God; they were not born again.
In Acts 19, “a group of Jews was traveling from town to town casting out evil spirits. They tried to use the name of the Lord Jesus in their incantation, saying, ‘I command you in the name of Jesus, whom Paul preaches, to come out!’ Seven sons of Sceva, a leading priest, were doing this. But one time when they tried it, the evil spirit replied, ‘I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?’ Then the man with the evil spirit leaped on them, overpowered them, and attacked them with such violence that they fled from the house, naked and battered” (verses 13-16). The evil spirit knew Jesus and knew Paul, but didn’t know who these men were; they were not believers.
Jesus made it clear when He said, “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:17-18, NKJV).
Throughout the book of Acts, men of God who believed spoke in the Name of Jesus and healings, miracles, signs and wonders occurred. Peter spoke to a man in the Name of Jesus and he got up and walked (Acts 3:6). Philip preached about the Name of Jesus, and as a result, many men and women were baptized (Acts 8:12). Paul cast a demon out of a girl in the Name of Jesus (Acts 16:18). When you know who you are as a believer, and that the Name of Jesus has been given to you to overcome any adversity in life, you will speak that Name boldly in prayer, knowing that every evil spirit has to bow to the Name of Jesus. They recognize who you are in Christ, and they recognize the power you have to speak the Name of Jesus!
Watch How to Release the Power That’s in Jesus’ Name:
Now that you’ve learned How To Pray Powerful Prayers Using the Name of Jesus, look back at that piece of paper with the name of the problem on it. Whatever name is on it, the Name of Jesus is higher. God has made a way for you to be effective in your prayers by giving you the Name of Jesus, which is above every other name (Philippians 2:9). As you stand on God’s Word in the Name of Jesus, you can pray with confidence knowing that your prayers are effective in Heaven’s throne room.
Have you ever tried to change something in your life and been frustrated with the results? Everyone has, at one time or another. Maybe you decided to eat better or exercise or save money. If you didn’t see the results, it’s probably because you started the habit, but you didn’t continue it.
To make changes in your life, you have to be consistent. Gloria Copeland says, “In consistency lies the power.” It’s what you do on a consistent basis that brings results. For example, if you are focused on getting healthy, you can eat more nutritious foods and exercise for one week, but that alone will not get you healthy. You have to continue eating healthy foods and exercising to become healthy.
The same is true with the Word of God. You can’t feed on it and speak it every so often and expect to see results in your life. Jeremiah 15:16 says, “When I discovered your words, I devoured them. They are my joy and my heart’s delight….” It’s the consistent feeding on and speaking of the Word of God that brings results in your life. If you want to change the direction of a particular area of your life, then begin by declaring these 10 Confessions To Change Your Destiny.
From Sick to Healed
God sent His Word and healed me.
“He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death” (Psalm 107:20).
From Discouraged to Encouraged
I put my hope in God, and I will praise Him.
“Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again–my Savior” (Psalm 42:5).
From Hateful to Loving
God loves me, and the Holy Spirit has filled my heart with love.
“For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love” (Romans 5:5).
From Unforgiving to Forgiving
I am kind and forgive others as Christ has forgiven me.
“Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:32).
From Sad to Joyful
The joy of the Lord is my strength.
“This is a sacred day before our Lord. Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the LORD is your strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10).
From Foolishness to Wisdom
I ask God for wisdom; He knows what to do in every situation.
“If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking” (James 1:5).
From Undisciplined to Disciplined
I discipline myself to run with purpose in every step.
“All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. So I run with purpose in every step. I am not just shadowboxing” (1 Corinthians 9:25-26).
From Poor to Rich
Jesus became poor so that by His poverty, I could be made rich in this life.
“You know the generous grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that by his poverty he could make you rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9).
From Incomplete to Complete
I am complete in Jesus, who is the head of all principality and power.
“For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power” (Colossians 2:9-10, NKJV).
From Fearful to Powerful
God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7).

You can consistently feed on the Word of God by declaring these 10 Confessions To Change Your Destiny. Jesus said, “Be careful what you are hearing. The measure [of thought and study] you give [to the truth you hear] will be the measure [of virtue and knowledge] that comes back to you–and more [besides] will be given to you who hear” (Mark 4:24, AMPC). You don’t have to be frustrated with results in your life; continuing to declare the Word of God will transform your thinking and transform your life!
A faithful person–someone you can depend on who won’t let you down–can be hard to find. Learn to count on God with 10 Ways God Proves He Is faithful to You.
No one enters a marriage relationship expecting the other person to be unfaithful to them, and yet it happens. Everyone can say they know someone who has divorced, and no matter what the circumstances of the divorce, each spouse can feel that the other person has in some way been unfaithful to them, not keeping the marriage vows they agreed upon.
Many Christians have the same mentality when it comes to their relationship with God. You may think that God has let you down or not kept a promise to you. The circumstances of life can paint a picture that God has not been faithful to you. Maybe you didn’t get something you wanted, or a situation didn’t turn out the way you had hoped. No matter what occurred, the way God feels about you has not changed; He loves you! And He loves to demonstrate to you that He can be trusted.
The union you have with God as a believer is much like a marriage relationship. Just as it takes time with a spouse to get to know and trust them, it takes time with God to get to know Him. The better you know God, the more you are able to recognize Him at work in your life. God is faithful. You can depend on Him; He will not let you down. Spend time with God today, meditating on 10 Ways God Proves He Is Faithful to You, and as you do, you will be able to recognize and discern other ways He has been faithful to you.
1. God Is Faithful To Save
“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.” -Luke 19:10
When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, He is faithful to save you spiritually and make you a part of His family. John wrote, “Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has become a child of God” (1 John 5:1). Think back to the moment when you first made Jesus the Lord of your life. How did God demonstrate His faithfulness to you? Remember the things that He did for you and thank Him.
2. God Is Faithful To Forgive
“But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” -1 John 1:9
After you are born again, there are times you need to remember that God is faithful to forgive. When you sin–when the Holy Spirit convicts you of wrongdoing–you can confess your specific sins to God, and He is faithful to forgive you. Is there anything you need to confess to Him right now? No matter what you have done, God proves His faithfulness to you by forgiving you.
3. God Is Faithful To Fill
“Ever be filled and stimulated with the Holy Spirit.” -Ephesians 5:18 (AMPC)
God is faithful to fill you with the Holy Spirit, just like He did with the early Church in the book of Acts. Acts 2:4 says, “And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance” (NKJV). This was never meant to be a one-time experience. That’s why Paul said in Ephesians 5:18 to continually be filled with the Holy Spirit. If you go to God and His Word, then He will be faithful to fill you–over and over again.
4. God Is Faithful To Provide
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19
Resources like money, food and clothing are needed to live in the world; and despite how you make a living or what you earn in wages, God promises that as you obey Him, He will be faithful to provide for you. Jesus says, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life–whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear…. Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?” (Matthew 6:25-26). God is faithful to provide whatever you have need of in your life.
5. God Is Faithful To Heal
“I am the Lord who heals you.” -Exodus 15:26
God’s Word is full of promises that reveal God is faithful to heal you. He will heal your physical body. 1 Peter 2:24 says, “By his [Jesus’] wounds, you are healed.” God also provided healing for your broken heart and emotional wounds. Psalm 34:18 says, “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” And throughout the Gospels, Jesus healed the sick–the feverish, the lame, the diseased, the bleeding, the oppressed, the downcast–and He even raised the dead. If He did it for them, He is faithful to heal you.
“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” -Jeremiah 33:3 (NKJV)
God has promised that when you call to Him, He will be faithful to answer. It doesn’t always mean that you will get the answer immediately, but God promises that He will answer your question as you stay in faith believing Him, seeking Him and putting His Word first place in your life. In fact, your answer oftentimes will come as you are spending time reading the Word of God. He is faithful to answer you.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
Even though you live in this world, where there can be chaos at times, God is faithful to give you peace. You are in this world; you are not of it (John 17:16). You can live in a place of peace, even when there is chaos all around you. You can live without worry, anxious thoughts or being stressed out. You can have supernatural peace by giving God all your cares and concerns; He is faithful to give you peace (1 Peter 5:7).
8. God Is Faithful To Be With You In Trouble
“I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble.” -Psalm 91:14-15
When you encounter troubles of any kind, God is faithful to be with you there. If you call on Him in faith, He will deliver you. You might say, “I got myself into this mess. It’s my own fault.” God is so good and merciful that He will never fail you nor abandon you (Hebrews 13:5). No matter how many times you find yourself in a tight spot, God is faithful to be with you in trouble.
9. God Is Faithful To Give You Authority
“Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you,” -Luke 10:19
God provided for you by sending Jesus, then gave you authority over every attack of the enemy. There is nothing the devil can throw at you that you do not have power and authority over. You are seated at the right hand of God with Jesus (Ephesians 2:6). God thought about you ahead of time, and is faithful to give you the authority you need in the earth to combat every attack of the enemy.

10. God Is Faithful To Be Faithful
“God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” -1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful to be faithful to you; He will do what He says. God is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19)! It’s absolutely impossible for Him not to be faithful to you. Everything He has promised, He will do. Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.” You can count on God to be faithful in His faithfulness to you.
