After my son and I left the 2004 Southwest Believers’ Convention, we came home to find Hurricane Charley fast approaching, but our faith was supercharged and ready to rebuke the winds! We live in Port Charlotte, Fla., which was almost at the center of the storm and only one to two miles from the water.

We had no phone, water or power for a time, but other than that we suffered no loss due to the storm. My home is surrounded by oak trees and many fell around us but none touched my condo. My son and I were unscathed! We were able to stay with friends until power was restored and since my work is done via the Internet, I only lost minimal wages. I just had to brag on our Lord
