Learning to Trust God More
This class, God’s Master Plan for Your Life, by Gloria Copeland has been a blessing to me. Hearing Gloria’s testimony of how she and Kenneth met was an encouragement. Even though we may not realize it at the time, God is working out His plan for our lives.
This class makes me more aware of God in my everyday life and puts more of a desire in my heart to follow His leading. I see that God does have a plan for my life and His plan is far better than anything I could think or imagine for myself. The more I get in the Word, the more I am trusting God. The more I am trusting God, the less I am trusting myself and the easier it is to obey Him. That old hymn is right: trust and obey—there’s no other way.
Just like my pastor and his wife, Kenneth and Gloria Copeland put God first in their lives (Matthew 6:33) and they walk out every day by faith and not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7). Seeing how God has blessed them is an encouragement to me, because I know I am God’s child and He is not a respecter of persons. He wants the same for me. Even though I started my spiritual walk later in life than they did, God can redeem the time. Gloria says “He has a storehouse of blessings” prepared for me! I like what Gloria says in her book, “…nothing but receiving and responding is expected of (the children of God).” When I do those things, I am allowing God to work out His great plan for my life.
